Her

Two

Momo knew Nayeon was cheating on her.

How did Momo know Nayeon was cheating on her? It wasn’t the excuses, distracted staring, or even low key flirting that gave Nayeon away. No, Momo didn’t really care about all that stuff.

Perhaps, in hindsight, she should have.

It was after one of Momo’s professors called in sick and cancelled class that she got off early and decided to surprise Nayeon at their apartment. Momo remembers that day clearly- it played on repeat in her head for days after.

Momo had barely even opened the door to her apartment, wide, toothy smile on her face, when she saw nothing but her girlfriend Nayeon face (on her damn couch) with a girl she didn’t care to know the name of (known posthumously as ‘Homewrecker’) from Momo’s history class. But she didn’t think too heavily on who the hell this girl was because all Momo thought was what the .

And they must have been really into it because Momo had been standing there, slack jawed, eyes wider than the moon, for what seemed like forever. When was the last time Nayeon kissed me like that, was a thought that entered Momo’s brain for a millisecond, before she slowly backed out the doorway, making sure to shut the door as quietly as possible.

Momo didn’t even cry. Maybe it was shock, or maybe she had really known all along but refused to believe it. Either way, it wasn’t right. It wasn’t okay. And Momo surely thought she loved Nayeon - Momo did nothing but love - but Momo was already busy plotting her revenge.

“I swear I’m going to kill both of those low life, no good, lying, cheating, cun-” was all Chaeyoung could get out before Dahyun clamped her hand over the long haired brunette’s mouth in an attempt to stop some rather unsavory words from flying out.

“Ooookay, as much as I agree with Chaeyoung,” Dahyun started, not without shooting what one would consider a ‘glare of the lord’ at a mumbling Chaeyoung, hand still covering her friend’s mouth, “I think that we should consider some more friendly options here.”

Friendly? You’re ing with me. All of those bibles must have knocked the remaining two brain cells out of your damn brain if you think I’m not going to kick both of their asses into next month,” A more than angry Jeongyeon practically spit out, left hand strangling her poor burrito, its contents squishing onto the tray in front of her. Momo practically cried, not the burrito.

“I would love nothing more than to beat both Nayeon and Homewrecker into the ground myself but, in the end, it’s Momo’s relationship, and we have to respect whatever her decision is,” Jihyo, ever the most reasonable leader of the group of rambunctious friends, reasoned.

Tzuyu merely nodded in agreement while Mina shot a sympathetic smile in Momo’s direction. Momo could only frown back. Was Jeongyeon going to eat that burrito still or-

“Sana-yah! Come over here!” Jeongyeon suddenly called, motioning a long, dark haired girl with very cute bangs over to the table where the seven girls sat in the food court.

The girl made her way over to their shared table and oh she was beautiful Momo thought; before she promptly sledgehammered it out of her head. She still technically had a girlfriend. Who was cheating on her… and - oh. A devious thought re-entered Momo’s mind from that day in the apartment, and she must have zoned out because now said beautiful girl was speaking.

“-definitely have my hand up the skirt of some other chick for her to walk in on on accident, of course,” was what Momo caught coming out of the pretty girl’s (what was her name again?) mouth.

Said mouth was also very… ahem beautiful. Not that she was imagining what it would be like if that mouth were to maybe-

Momo shot up, half trying to halt that direction of thinking and half to proclaim, “you’ve just read my mind, random girl.”

Pretty girl went to open , probably to say what her name was, but God was faster.

“Momo, when I said that we should respect any decision you made I didn’t mean-” Jihyo started to reply, only to be cut off by Jeongyeon manhandling her face with her hand.

“I have to say I agree wholeheartedly, my friend. God would want us to respect Momo’s decision. What time does Nayeon get home, Momo?” A positively innocent sounding Jeongyeon directed towards the Japanese girl, her wicked grin betraying her true intentions.

“Usually around four,” Momo answered.

Perfect. Here’s what we’re gonna do.”

Despite how this was Momo’s original idea, and a damn simple plan, she still somehow managed to be nervous. Maybe it was her innate goodness within her that was trying to reason with her heartbroken desire for revenge… or maybe it was because she had a very pretty girl that definitely wasn’t Nayeon sitting in her lap.

Not to mention that the girl - she remembered her name was Sana after going through the plans with her and Jeongyeon - on top of her was wearing just a skirt and a plain white blouse but oh god those thighs. Momo’s lizard brain screamed at her to reach out and run her hands across those thighs, for science of course, but now the girl on top of her was saying something.

“I know we barely know each other, but you don’t have to be nervous. It doesn’t have to mean anything. And you shouldn’t feel guilty, you caught her cheating! That’s inexcusable, really. I mean, think about it, she wasted so much of your time. This is just your way of taking some back,” Sana said matter-of-factly, a reassuring smile on her face.

Momo couldn’t help but think that, , if everything was just wasted time with Nayeon, maybe she should “waste time” with Sana too.

It doesn’t have to mean anything rang through Momo’s head as she picked up her phone to check the time, 4:03 as it was, and then set it back on the coffee table.

Why didn’t she just say it doesn’t mean anything? Where did the ‘have to’ come from?! Is she implying that it could mean something?! Momo was spiralling.

“You’re right,” Momo managed to say back after wrangling her thoughts into place, finally looking into the girl’s chocolate eyes which, oops, mistake number one. How could someone’s eyes be so damn captivating and it doesn’t have to mean anything, it doesn't have to mean anything, it doesn’t have to-

Sana giggled above her and Momo had half a mind to slap her because who has the right to be laughing in a situation like this so damn cutely, and also whendidshegetthatclosetoherface?

“She’ll be here any minute now, right?” Sana practically whispered, her breath ghosting against Momo’s mouth.

Any seemingly (totally) meaningless thoughts flew right out of Momo’s mind - she barely managed a nod to Sana as a reply - her eyes glued to the pink lips in front of her.

Was she doing this on purpose? Was Sana out for her blood? Momo figured this is how she died.

And then Momo thought she felt soft hands grab both of her wrists and place them on the equally as soft thighs that rested on both sides of her hips, but then again this had to be some sort of fever dream.

And Momo’s heart shouldn’t be trying to escape her chest right now. Yupp, dead.

Why was this affecting her so much? Momo needed to get a hold of herself.

“Relax,” she heard Sana say from somewhere in the fog of her mind, those pink lips slowly closing the distance between them.

Momo’s brain jump started when Sana’s lips reached hers. And it wasn’t quite a kiss, maybe Sana’s way of giving Momo control (which made Momo’s stomach twist a type of way at that thought), which she took all too eagerly.

Momo was out to prove she wasn’t some stuttering .

And Momo could have sworn Sana’s breath hitched when she pushed forward, tilting her head and moving her lips against Sana’s, her hands inching up on Sana’s thighs to stop just underneath her skirt.

And Momo couldn’t help but squeeze those thighs when Sana’s hands found their way into her hair and tugged ever so slightly, eliciting a tiny moan from Sana, much to Momo’s delight.

And the more Momo continued kissing Sana, the more it doesn’t have to mean anything started to turn into what the does this mean and Momo forgot what she was even doing and why.

She just wanted to keep kissing Sana, and her hands could only go along with her thoughts as she thumbed circles into the inside of Sana’s thighs, higher and higher and just a little more-

“What the ?” A voice sent the fog in Momo’s mind flying in all directions, bringing her back to reality, reminding her why she was on the couch, her tongue in the mouth of a girl she barely knew.

Momo’s hands didn’t stop making those circles into Sana’s velvet skin, but she did pull away to look her supposed “girlfriend” in the eye, raising an eyebrow for extra effect. (Momo was only slightly disappointed when Sana dropped her hands from her hair).

There was only silence between the three of them as Nayeon took quite a facial journey from shock, to realization, to resignation, to guilt.

Momo wasn’t stupid and Nayeon shouldn’t have treated her like she was. That’s the thing that pissed off Momo the most. She only hoped Nayeon was at least sorry enough to grab her things and leave.

Nayeon must have read her mind because she didn’t waste time in doing just that, disappearing and then reappearing from her bedroom a moment later with a suitcase, the door to their - Momo’s - apartment clicking shut.

Momo wondered if their relationship ever meant anything to Nayeon. If Momo was anything but a toy to her. Why did she drag her along all this time if she was just going to walk away so easily?

Momo knew she wore her heart on her sleeve. And Sana must have seen the thoughts playing on her face, for she only said, “I’m sorry,” with a sad smile on her face.

And something in the back of Momo’s head was yelling at her that Sana could have just gotten up and walked away too, but she was still here on Momo’s lap, and Momo figured she should probably stop rubbing holes into Sana’s thighs now.

Momo didn’t expect arms to wrap around her neck and pull her against a soft chest, and was she really so physically deprived that she felt her own arms wrapping around Sana in return against her own volition? Honestly, who the was this girl?

Sana was warm, and seemingly cared more about her than Nayeon ever did, despite only knowing her for a total of like, five hours, and Momo must be a goddamned er because she felt tears start roll down her face when Sana started running her fingers through her hair.

Sana just let her sit there and silently cry as she continued to comb through her hair; Momo couldn’t help but to slowly succumb to sleep.

The blaring ringtone coming from Momo’s phone jolted her out of her slumber as she shot up, eyes still closed, her school uniform rumpled from her impromptu nap on the couch.

Momo squinted through the sleepy haze still covering her eyes as she fumbled around for the offending noise machine on the coffee table, her hand finally making purchase and bringing it close to her face as she tried to decipher the numbers on the screen.

NoJam1 appeared on the bright display. Jeongyeon was calling her.

Momo was still half asleep when she swiped the green button to answer it, bringing the cellphone to her ear.

“So, how’d it go?” Jeongyeon’s sing-song voice cut through before Momo could even think to say anything.

“What?” Momo rasped, half of her brain still dreaming of that bowl of jjajangmyeon. She almost had it...

“The plan, dummy. With Sana,” A pause, “you know, Nayeon. Cheating. Hello? Wake up, Moguri.”

At the mention of Sana’s name, Momo found herself very much awake now, and very much recalling what must have happened only a few hours ago. Vividly.

Momo’s face heated up at the images flashing through her head.

“Ah, yeah, that. It - uh. It went. Nayeon’s stuff is gone,” is all Momo could think to reply, running her fingers through her bobbed hair, finally looking around her apartment.

Momo thought it would feel emptier. But she realized that maybe it had been empty for a long time now.

“Ahh,” Jeongyeon started, bringing Momo’s attention back to their conversation, “I’m sorry, Momo. You didn’t

deserve all that. I swear I’m gonna choke that out.”

Momo laughed at that. Jeongyeon wasn’t one to ever show much emotion, but Momo knew her long enough to know that this was her way of offering her support.

“Thanks, but I’ll be okay. It was a long time coming, anyway,” Momo said after a while, absentmindedly fiddling with one of the buttons on her blouse.

“Doesn’t make it any less wrong. Doesn't make it okay,” the older girl stated.

“Is she okay? Yah, let me talk to her. Give me the phone.”

“No we’ve got to gooo!”

“We’re gonna be late! Jihyo get your over here.”

“God okay, I’m going, I’m going! Heaven forbid I CARE about my friend.”

“Shut the up, all of you! I’m trying to have a conversation here!” Jeongyeon’s voice yelled above the others, prompting a sudden silence in the background.

The concerned voices of Momo’s friends made her roll her eyes to herself in affection. She really loved her friends.

“You sound like you’re needed. I’ll call you later if I need anything,” Momo remarked.

“Of course. My line’s always open - MOMORING I LOVE YOU PLEASE MARRY ME I-” Momo yanked her phone away from her ear as someone yelled directly into the phone speaker.

She heard Jeongyeon swearing and throwing a fit in response, then the sound of someone running and evil laughter before the beeping sound signaling the call ended came through the device.

Momo could only roll her eyes again. At this rate, her eyes were going to roll right out of her head.

She went to set her phone back down on the coffee table before she spotted something bright pink out of the corner of her eye.

Oh?

Momo shifted her gaze to the obnoxious neon color at the center of the table, realizing it was a sticky note. She finally stood up from the couch, bending over to take the note in her hand and read it.

Sorry I had to go so soon.

I’d love to get to know you better.

Call me sometime? ;)

xoxo , Sana <3 <3 <3

A number was written below all the hearts, making Momo’s heart race at the prospect of actually getting to know the girl she had just made out with on her couch.

Momo was a damn fool.
