Do You Hate Me Now?

Do You Hate Me Now?

“I read about the news…” she started, her eyes still darted towards the calm and peaceful night sky.

The man beside her lowered his head, a faint smile that didn’t reach his eyes shown on his face. “I’m getting more popular these days now, right?” He chuckled.

She finally turned her head towards him, a serious expression wore on her face. “Jongdae…” she trailed.

The latter turned to look at her as well, his eyes glistening under the moonlight, his ears expectant of either some scolding or the few comforting words that he has been receiving from his colleagues since his controversy broke out.

“Sometimes you really just it up.” She simply said.

Jongdae’s brows furrowed at the sudden profanity. The former averted her gaze from him towards the Seoul night sky once again. Jongdae kept his eyes on her, now facing his whole body towards her direction, maintaining their meter distance.

“You mean…?”

“Come on, you’re not an angel!” she cried out before she smiled. She looked at him with her crescent eyes on full shine. Jongdae was too entranced to react. He did not expect such reaction. Puzzled, he looked at her curiously and let her continue.

“Remember what you always told me?” She asked before looking at him expectantly, only to see the male with his still frozen self.

“Geez, Jongdae. You always told me to just get over with it!” she chuckled.

Jongdae finally understood and hung her head low for a while as he steadied his breath. “Right.” He uttered.

“This does not define you as a person.” She said seriously. “All of them can turn their backs on you…” He raised his head and look at her, she had a dead serious expression. “But I will never.”

A long silence ensued. They stood there silently looking at each other. It was Jongdae who broke the silence. For the first time in the past twenty-four hours, he was able to break into a smile, a genuine smile, and tears escaping his eyes.  “Thank you.”

Imagine Jongdae asking you "Do You Hate Me Now?"
Do you really have to hate someone just because of a mistake?
Will you disregard every single thing he did in the past for you?
How would you feel if it was you? Would you like getting the hate that's uncalled for?

I don't need to read this story because I believe in Chenchen. I'm his fan from the very beginning and I will support him to the end.

He's a good person by nature and I believe he never intended to cause such a mess.

I'm putting a reference to a tumblr post, because this mess is based on the translation on V live, not his actual words.

Who are they to judge and wishing him death. That's even worse. Like they never did or said anything wrong. They're trying to hurt him by their words and damage his reputation...

I’m guessing this is in response to antis dragging Jongdae through the mud on Twitter today. Jongdae is the sweetest, kindest boy. He’s the kind of warm hearted individual who cares more about the people around him than himself. He tells people to come at him and leave his brothers alone. In the haunted house, he gave away his hot packs to the workers. Chen is the type to take care of the people around him. He doesn’t deserve this nonsense at all. Was the comparison he made bad by western standards? Yes, but he’s not in the west. They don’t have the same sort of education over there about race as we do here. The problem is not really Jongdae and his innocently made comparison. The problem is the lack of race education regarding blacks in not just South Korea, but in many parts of Asia. Jongdae meant no harm by his comment. As for people who are unstanning EXO or Jongdae over this, I say don’t let the door hit you on your way out. Good riddance to bad rubbish. If they are so quick to be judge, trial, and jury without even considering things from the societal perspective in Korea than they are just as bad. Jongdae doesn’t deserve fake fans like that. It seems these days the only thing antis know how to do is attack EXO members and demand apologies while dragging their names through the mud. Is it a coincidence they are making a big deal out of this and blowing out of proportion while CBX is in the middle of their comeback? I think not. I love and support Jongdae and all of my EXO boys. Instead of coming after one man for a non-maliciously intended remark, if they want to do something about attitudes toward other races in South Korea they should work from a societal level.
