Juhyun found it difficult to speak.

How was she supposed to tell the younger girl that she was the CEO of the entertainment company she just auditioned for?

Juhyun could only play by ear and keep her identity as much of a secret as possible for now.

After all she didn’t want Seulgi to think it was out of any sort of biasedness that she would have been selected.

Although, it was true that Juhyun had already decided that Seulgi would be a candidate to be signed as a trainee.

“ Ah yes Seulgi-ah. It’s me. ”

“ Oh, do you work here unnie? ”

“ Uh, yes apparently I do.”

Juhyun chuckled hoped that Seulgi didn’t catch the nervousness in her voice.

“ Heol! Unnie we could have gone in together just now!”

Seulgi reached out to lightly punch at Juhyun’s shoulder playfully while grinning.

At least she didn’t suspect a thing.

“ Sorry about that. From how widely you’re smiling I’m guessing the audition went well for you? ”

Juhyun feigned ignorance, as she reached out and held onto the younger girl’s hands to lead her towards a nearby sitting area.

“ Yeah it did, but I’m a little worried that I might not fit in.”

Seulgi smiled, but Juhyun could tell the crestfallen expression through her façade.

Juhyun knew exactly what Seulgi was talking about, and she would not allow any of her trainees to feel less than the other; visually impaired or not.

“ Don’t mind them. Their words don’t define you, but you.”

A smile tugged at the corners of Seulgi’s lips.

“ Thanks unnie.”

From the corner of her eye, she noticed Joy signaling to her that they needed to rush off for another schedule and as much as Juhyun hated to leave the younger girl’s company, she had to.

“ No worries. By the way, I really hate to leave you here alone but I need to get back to work so I guess I’ll catch you around? If you’re fine with it, then let’s exchange numbers? ”

Juhyun could feel Joy’s grin slapping mockery onto her own face already.

She was probably going to be teased later.

With a platonic hug, Juhyun bade her new friend goodbye and promised that they would definitely have a meal together sometime.
 

As she watched the back of the younger girl disappear from her view behind the glass doors of the company, Juhyun felt an elbow on her shoulder.

The older girl didn’t even need to turn around to know that Joy definitely had her -eating grin plastered on her face.

“ CEO-nim, we’re going to be late for our meeting if you keep gawking.”

“ I wasn’t gawking, Sooyoung.”
Juhyun rolled her eyes and huffed, while the taller girl could only laugh at how embarrassed the young CEO had probably been at that moment when she stomped ahead first.
