Eva's eyes shifted to the side and became glazed with a glassy layer of tears. As she blinked, they dripped from her eyelids and slid down her cheeks. She bit her lip tightly in attempt to hide any sound that wanted to escape from ; her heart sank tremendously. His confession were too hurtful to reply back with words that Eva immedately cried in disbelief and expressed her anger by giving him a harsh slap on his face. 

"You bastard!! I trusted you!! So much of 'we're gonna think of something to solve this problem!" UGH!! AFTER ALL THE THINGS WE'VE BEEN THROUGH, YOU'RE TRASHING ME JUST LIKE THAT??? WHAT AM I TO YOU ALL THIS WHILE? A TOY THAT YOU CAN PLAY WITH?!!! WHAT IN THE ACTUAL  YOUNGBAE??!!!" Eva spilled with full of anger and despair 

"I'm sorry, really sorry. You're no longer my girlfriend," Youngbae apologised 

 

Eva's mum comforted Eva by surrounding her arms on her shoulder and whispered to Eva that they should leave the place. With full of anger, she pushed Youngbae harshly and ran out of the restaurant. Tears flow out from her eyelids like a non-stip river as she accidentally tripped on her heels and almost fell into the swimming pool but she managed to balance herself well. 

She composed herself, removing her heels and sat near the pool. The tears flowed unchecked down her cheeks and dripped from her chin, destroying her mascara. She was too sad to cry out or wail, she just sat there as still as a statue while the magnitude of her loss swept over her.

She wished she would not have to witness whatever just happen and live life as per normal. However, it just proves to her that life was not like a fairytale. The stress level increases upon being dumped by someone who she thought she would live life forever with. Suddenly, there was a sudden blackout and confusion whispers coming from the people caught her attention as she scanned the entire area from side to side.

 

"I've found a love, for me~~!"  

 

The silence was being broken by a soothing voice singing. Upon being so familiar with the voice, Eva stood up a began to search for the voice.

 

"Darling just dive right, and follow my lead," the voice continued singing 

 

Eva started to take a few steps towards the voice when a spotlight shone brightly at a particular spot. The scene was quite unbelievable that it was shocking to Eva. Her mind was sent reeling, unable to comprehend or process the images that was being displayed right in front her eyes.

She frowned in confusion as her eyes were still fixed on Youngbae. In her heart, she kept trying find out a logical reason on why would someone who just dumped you would out of nowhere sing for you like as if he wants you back? As Eva was questioning herself, Youngbae brought his mouth closer to the microhone and continued to sing the entire song of 'Perfect' by Ed Sheeran which was Eva's favourite song.

Right before Eva knew it, Youngbae was only inches close to her that their nose were almost touching. Before finishing the song, Youngbae leaned his forehead against hers as both of them closed their eyes.

 

"And she looks perfect, I don't deserve this, you look perfect tonight" Youngbae ended the song and presented her with a kiss on the lips 

Rain started to bore down immersefully. People were running into the shelter while Eva and Youngbae still stood where they were as the rain poured on them. Eva was so immersed by Youngbae's soothing voice when a few seconds later, she immediately shoved herself away from him when she remembered what happened in the restaurant earlier.

 

"Babe, what's wrong?" Youngbae questioned looking so disappointed 

"Who are you calling babe? We're nothing!  You just dumped me a few minutes ago and now what's your motive of coming back to me?!" Eva inquired back, raising her voice at the same time avoid looking at him

"What happened back there is not true alright? Trust me it's not true," Youngbae said

"Now you expect me to believe you? Hell no!! You and I are done! Stop playing games with me will you?! It's driving me crazy! UGH!" Eva yelled in annoyance and walked passed him when her way was being blocked by the maroon haired girl

 

Eva rolled her eyes away with full of jealousy and disgust that how she wished she could be in the girl's position. Eva was too hurt to stay that she took one step forward when Sarah stopped her once again. 

 

"Let go will you?! I thought you have some engagement ceremony to discuss about? Go on, before you're no longer available for the daughter-in-law position!" Eva said sarcastically

"Phew, damn cousin! Your girl is so tough to deal with," commented the Sarah 

"That's why she's mine!" Youngbae said proudly

 

Eva's face washed blank with confusion and amazement. She looked towards Youngbae and back to the girl for a couple of times. 

 

"Woah wait, both of you are cousins?" Eva asked for assurance 

"Yes we are. I'm Sarah by the way. Whatever that happened back there, it's all a prank alright? I don't even want to be a part of it but Youngbae insisted that I should. Anyways, I apologised if my actions back then hurt your feelings. Chill out aytes? Don't take it too seriously. Youngbae here, he loves you too much and he is full of surprises,"

"Erhem..," Youngbae faked a cough

"Aiiish, alright alright. I'm gonna leave you two love birds alone. Finish what you have to finish. Well, Eva we're gonna see each other quite often," Sarah said

"Huh? What do you mean by that?" Eva asked 

"Youngbae will tell you why. Bye for now!" Sarah bid her farewell and rushed towards the shelter 

 

Sarah's actions was extremely suspicious that it made Eva's mind run wild to think of the conclusion.

 

"Sweetheart," Youngbae called out while walking towards her

"A prank? Really? A prank?!! Are you that free to think of a prank?!!" Eva raised her voice, feeling so fooled by all of the acting and fakeness

"Awww darling, please don't get mad. I have my reason for planning this," he told her 

"Reason huh? Tell me what was the reason then? What was your reason? Do you know how afraid I was upon believing that I'm going to lose you? Tsk..tsk.... The heartbreak that I've felt when you say I'm no longer your girlfriend anymore..tsk... how could you say such things!! That was pure evil!!" Eva ranted and begin to sob loudly

"Well it's your fault for not hearing the rest of my entire sentence after that I said that. It's true you're not going to be my girlfriend anymore. You want to know the reason why?" he asked 

 

Eva just gave him that puppy dog eye stare and waited patiently for him to continue his sentence.

"Listen babe, you and I had been through a lot together. We went through happiness, sadness, madness and craziness together for the past 3 years. You never fail to put a smile on my face, you are always being patient with me, you stood by my side everytime when I needed someone, you never ever complained once about my imperfection and flaws. You're the only person that understands and accepts me for who I am sincerely apart from my own parents and I'm thankful every single day to have you in my life. So now, I guess it's time for us to take one step further. I want to spent the rest of my life with you even though it will not be a smooth sailing one in the future, if we screw up this moment, we try the next and if we fail the next, we have our whole lives to get it right. Through all the ups and downs that we will face, I'm prepared to face it with you together to ensure that it will not jeopardize our relationship," he confessed and slotted his hands in his pocket and kneels down in front of Eva, opening up a small square box containing a Cartier ring 

    

"Without further a due, you're no longer my girlfriend now, so....will you be my wife Eva?" Youngbae proposed 

 

Eva was astonished and flustered by his proposal it robbed her off speech.  Her cheeks were drenched with tears of hapiness she could no longer resist. The people who witnessed the scene began to chant 'yes' in hoping that Eva would agree to the proposal.

 

"So.....do I get a yes?" Youngbae asked

"OF COURSE YES!!" Eva accepted 

 

The people clapped and cheered upon Eva's answer. Youngbae slotted the ring into her finger and immediately Eva with huge open arms, gave him a hug. She sobbed on his shoulder as he tighten his embrace around her due to the unexpected surprise.

  

"I'm sorry about the prank sweetheart. My intention was to surprise you but I had no idea it will worry you this much. Please forgive me?" he apologised

"You're my one and only, how could I not be worried. But thank God it was only a prank, I'm kind of relief. Of course I'll forgive you love just please don't pull out this kind of prank again. You scared the out of me," Eva requested and let out a small beam as Youngbae wipe off her tears

"I really do appreciate, especially the sweet, unxpected proposal you've just made. It means a lot to me babe. Sorry I..slapped you in the face. I was too upset and furious. Sorry if it hurts so bad," Eva apologised and massaged his cheek

"Nah, I deserve it for what I just did to you. I got to say, it was a powerful one. Hope it will be the last," Youngbae hoped

"Only if you stop with this over-reacting prank in the future," 

"That, I can't promise hehehe," he chuckled

 

Then, both of them were startled by the presence of their parents which was standing a few distance away. The expressions for their parents' face cause Eva to timidly look downwards.

 

"Don't worry dear, your mum and I are part of the prank as well. Hahahah!!! I've been waiting for this moment and finally you're going to be my daughter-in-law. I'm extremely excited!" Mrs. Dong exclaimed

"Thanks mum for the brilliant idea that you told me in the car. It gave a strong impact. Oh and of course, thank you to my  future mother-in-law too for helping," Youngbae thanked them

"No worries Youngbae dear. I just want you both to be happy," said Eva's mum

"Mum you're into this?" Eva inquired 

Scared of being interogated, Eva's mum and Mrs. Dong excuse themselves. Youngbae on the other hand, burst out into hysterical laughter.

"Funny huh? Really funny?"

 

Youngbae paused for a second and tried his extreme best to control his laughter as Eva came closer and closer to him.

 

"You dragged my mum into this? Woah, you and your mum sure are creative!" Eva commented sarcastically 

"I'll take that as a compliment. Woohoo!! I can't wait for our big day!" Youngbae chorused 

"Our big day? Hmm.... you've heard something about revenge is sweet don't you?" Eva hinted with mind already running about ideas

"Hmmmm... nah not that I've known of. Not in my dictionary," he cautioned, teasingly 

"Well too bad I'm gonna have to teach you on our special day! Hahah!" Eva assured and began to walk off 

"Hey, come back here, what do you mean by that? Tell me," Youngbae insisted , feeling afraid that she will cause a scene on their wedding day

"Hmm.. patience is a virtue," Eva teased

"Aww please tell me. Please babe," Youngbae insisted once again

 

Eva shook her head from side to side and smirked. Youngbae immediately nibbled her ear and dived his fingers to tickle her body.

 

"Hahahaha!! Babe, stop!! Hahaha!" Eva laughed

"Ain't gonna stop until you tell me whatcha gonna do,"

"No matter how hard you tickle, you will only know it on our big day! HAHAHAHA! Goodness stop!"

"Too bad princess, you're all mine for now till forever! Hahahaha!!"
