Chapter 4
Just roommates?
“You’ve been avoiding me.”
Minkyung spoke from behind Yebin, scaring the younger girl who slammed the fridge’s door shut loudly.
“Oh my god…you scared me!” Yebin huffed, bringing a hand to her heart.
“Sorry” Minkyung said “Still, don’t try to change the subject. You’ve been avoiding me.”
And it was true.
Since that night at the Pledis Yebin had tried to see the older girl as little as possible. She realized how hopeless her feelings for her were and she had tried to distance herself. That had turned out to be hard since they lived in the same apartment.
“What are you talking about? I’ve just been…busy.”
“You’re a horrible liar, you know that?” Minkyung shook her head, disappointed about the fact that Yebin kept lying to her.
“Did I do something wrong?”
“No!”
“Then what?” Minkyung started rising her voice, frustrated with the girl she had developed feelings for.
“Then nothing!” Yebin looked at her with fierce eyes “Why do you even care?”
“What do you mean? I care about you. I thought we were friends!”
“Friends. Right.” Yebin scoffed “ I’m going out. See you later.”
Minkyung just watched her go, confused about her behavior.
She stood silent for a moment before taking her phone and dialing someone’s number.
“Hey Unnie, what’s up?”
“Hey Siyeon, I…need help.”
“With what?” there was a pause on the other side of the line “Or should I say with whom?”
“Yebin…”
“Say no more! I’m coming over and bringing backup to help us.”
“Wait, who talked about backup…and she hung up. Amazing”
