** LISA'S POV **

 

I was tying my shoelace on the locker as we finished the training with lots of endurance excercises and felt my body so sore.

 

 

As i tie my shoelace, i heard my colleague talking about me and also heard Jennie's name involved too.

 

 

 

" Aren't they dating? " 

 

 

 

" But they look so good right? " 

 

 

 

" Who would've want to date Lalisa right? Even i would die for her "

 

 

 

" All i know was Jennie is dating someone in the all boys school at the other school near us "

 

 

 

" Oh i heard that too!! "

 

 

 

Then i saw Nayeon passed by to my locker and go to those girls who's too loud to gossip as she slam the door with her palm.

 

 

 

" You guys really don't have any productivity in life rather than gossiping huh? " Nayeon said in sarcastic tone

 

 

 

The girls suddenly and stopped as they apologize in front of Nayeon.

 

 

 

 

She was chewing a gum and get her phone in her pocket as she picture every girl's face.

 

 

 

" See this? " Nayeon showed her phone and displays their faces

 

 

 

" I'm going to pass it to Lisa and ask her to post this in the school magazine to make you guys famous " 

 

 

 

" You're unbelievable " they mocked

 

 

 

So maybe that's the time i need to show up and give Nayeon some support.

 

 

 

" Any problem in here? " i asked as i looked at Nayeon and to them.

 

 

 

 

It made them gasped, bow and leave.

 

 

 

Nayeon just smirked and giggled.

 

 

 

" You really is a hot topic everywhere i go huh " 

 

 

 

 

" It's because you made me do the play " i said as i sighed, sit down and get my phone in my pocket.

 

 

 

 

" But you agreed " Nayeon said

 

 

 

" Whatever " i said as i scroll down looking and checking my account.

 

 

 

 

" But you guys really are related to each other " 

 

 

 

 

I frowned.

 

 

 

 

" What do you mean? "

 

 

 

 

" Kindergaten "

 

 

 

I rolled my eyes and sighed.

 

 

 

 

" We were kids, Nayeon. That's too long ago "  i said

 

 

 

 

" But you guys still compete now " 

 

 

 

 

" I'm not competing Jennie, I'm just doing my best to get a scholarship for college and you know we can't afford that much " i explained

 

 

 

 

I lived in an average family and i was here as an exchange student, Luckily having a scholarship too because i am playing for the University. 

 

 

 

At the same time the academic scholarship so my parents won't be worried about the expenses.

 

 

 

They're in Thailand right now, so i lived in an apartment by myself and just accept the fact that i need to stay there without my family.

 

 

 

But theh visit me once a month so that's not a problem to me.

 

 

" Are you going home already? " Nayeon asked

 

 

 

I nodded.

 

 

 

" I just need to drop by and eat fish cakes and tteokboki " 

 

 

 

Nayeon frowned.

 

 

 

" Why can't you eat proper meal you little slick, that's why you're so thin " 

 

 

 

" As if i have time to make a meal, Nayeon " 

 

 

 

 

I put my coat and get my bag.

 

 

 

 

 

" Are you going to walk with me in the neighborhood? " I asked

 

 

 

She nodded.

 

 

 

" Let's wait for Jennie " 

 

 

 

" Okay "

 

 

 

" Is that okay with you? " Nayeon asked

 

 

 

" I said okay right? I know she lived in the same neighborhood to so that won't hurt and were not even enemies "

 

 

 

 

I waited for Nayeon to get her things and walk til we reached the gate and wait also for Jennie.

 

 

 

But before we arrived at the gate we saw her somewhere in the benches and called Nayeon.

 

 

 

" Yah! Jennie! Let's go home " Nayeon shouted 

 

 

 

Jennie run towards us and when she saw me she was glaring.

 

 

 

" I'm not doing anything, see? " I put my both hands up and looked at Nayeon.

 

 

 

 

" Both of you stop it, we will be outside of the school later already and you're bringing up you guys rivalry. " Nayeon laughed 

 

 

 

Nayeon put her left arm on my arm and her right to Jennie.

 

 

 

So we walk til we arrived in the gate and saw a guy waiting for someone, holding a boquet of roses.

 

 

 

" Jennie.. Is that.. - "

 

 

 

 

Then Jennie covered Nayeon's mouth and signal her to stop.

 

 

 

" Let's continue walking " she mouthed.

 

 

 

Jennie was like pushing Nayeon to go to the other direction to avoid that guy.

 

 

 

" Why?? You're seeing SuHo right? Why avoid him? " Nayeon asked as we continued walking

 

 

 

But Jennie just give her a frown face and sighed.

 

 

 

" We're not even dating officially so let me have my choice woman " Jennie said

 

 

 

Then Nayeon looked at me and giggled.

 

 

 

" Just look at my innocent poodle here who don't even know what love is " Nayeon pat my head and teased

 

 

 

" Shut up " i said

 

 

 

" No wonder Lisa has no problems with people because she doesn't even know how yo flirt " Nayeon said

 

 

 

I just sighed and roll my eyes.

 

 

 

" Wait you never had a boyfriend?? " Jennie asked shockingly

 

 

 

 

" Thanks Nayeon, i really appreciate it " I said in sarcastic tone

 

 

 

" Lisa have a lot of admirers but she keep shutting them down because she doesn..- "

 

 

 

Now it's my turn to cover Nayeon's mouth.

 

 

 

" You really are annoying " i said as i cover until we arrived at her house.

 

 

 

But then she bite my hand and her both front teeth dug in my skin.

 

 

 

" You know what, you should atleast try Lisa. You're missing the good memories being in high school " Nayeon said as she waved at us and run in her house.

Wait what.

 

 

 

" So... "

 

 

 

This is so awkward.

 

 

 

I didn't even thought of it that it would be me and Jennie who will left because Nayeon's house is nearer.

 

 

 

" Where's your house? "

 

 

 

I sighed.

 

 

 

Then she frowned.

 

 

 

" I know you don't want to be with me but i need to break the ice between is cause it'll be boring " Jennie said

 

 

 

" I know " 

 

 

 

And when i saw the street where i need to go right already, i did signal her that i will be going in that way.

 

 

 

 

" Really Lisa? Are we that awkward now? " Jennie said sarcastically

 

 

 

What?

 

 

 

" Your house is there, why go in that way? Are you really that ignoring me now? " she said

 

 

 

 

" No " i had my hands gesturing her that it's not like that.

 

 

 

 

" I'm going to eat Fish cakes and Tteokbokki in that street " i said as i point it

 

 

 

 

" I don't eat dirty food " 

 

 

 

I frowned.

 

 

 

" They're not dirty, how dare you " i laughed

 

 

 

I signal her to come with me and it's her choice if she's going to come or not.

 

 

 

" My treat. "

 

 

 

Then i turn around and let her choose whatever she wants to. It's not my loss if she didn't follow me.

 

 

 

" Lisa "

 

 

 

I was about to turn around but Jennie was already beside me and walking with me.

 

 

 

 

" You heard about the scholarship in Oxford? " Jennie asked

 

 

 

I nodded.

 

 

 

" Aren't you interested with it? " she asked

 

 

 

" I am interested "

 

 

 

" They said they will be choosing two students " i said

 

 

 

 

" Then should we get it? " Jennie asked

 

 

 

 

" What made you think i'll pass that exam? " i laughed

 

 

 

" Duh, you're on top. It's a miracle if you won't get that scholarship " 

 

 

 

As we continue our conversation, we didn't realized that we already arrived in the fish cake and tteokbokki stall.

 

 

 

When i saw the huge pot of Fish cake, i just get a stick and blow it before eating it because it's hot.

 

 

 

As i start eating, Jennie was looking at me weirdly like she's grossing the hell out of me eating fish cakes.

 

 

 

So i look at her and she was like shooking her head.

 

 

 

" Why are you even enjoying that? " she asked

 

 

 

" Because it's delicious " i simply answered

 

 

 

But i can see all over her face that she don't believe me, So i get a stick of fish cake and give it to her.

 

 

 

 

" Try " 

 

 

 

 

" What no. " she said

 

 

 

" Eat it "

 

 

 

 

" I'm going to kill you if i felt stomach ache later " she threatened

 

 

 

 

" Go on and kill me after but for now, try it first "

 

 

 

 

Jennie was just looking at it and then looked at me like she really think it's dirty.

 

 

 

 

Okay fine.

 

 

 

 

So i just get the fish cake from her hand and eat it by myself.

 

 

 

" I'll just eat it by myself then " 

 

 

 

But when i finish the second stick of Fish cake, my phone rings and saw my mom's name in my phone.

 

 

 

 

" Mom?? " 

 

 

 

 

That's the time i need to be serious cause this is the first time i heard my mom crying.

 

 

 

 

" What happened? " i asked

 

 

 

 

I looked at Jennie and she do the same with a worried face.

 

 

 

" Okay, calm down mom. We'll get through this okay? Hush now, i'm on my way home. I'll call you later " I said

 

 

 

My mom just said okay and hung up the phone.

 

 

 

It breaks my heart.

 

 

 

" What happened? " Jennie asked

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

" Nothing, just a little problem in the house. Can we go home now? "
