Yumi was brought up as the successor to her father’s project and was instructed by him to prioritize on her education over her own interests. Ten years ago, Heechul was selected as a leading director for his project, and Rin was entrusted to take care of her father’s estate until his return. Her mother, Taeyeon, her mother couldn’t stand her husband obsession for their daughter, so she left him taking their two older sons with her. After her father tried brainwashing her with lies Yumi left his home and stayed at the school dormitory. To divert attention from her private life, Yumi has diligently strived to earn the admiration of her peers, even though she is secretly stingy, tomboyish, and a perfectionist. The rights to her father’s lands were supposed to be inherited by Yumi after her mother left, but she didn’t want anything from him. Heechul would do anything to see his project completed even if it means sacrificing his daughter’s life in the process. It is possible that Yumi might turn her back on everyone if she were to find out the truth about her father.
