Infatuation

It started as a crush.

An all-consuming, unrealistic, bound-for-heartbreak crush. A crush that was gradually crushing him.

But, he wasn’t complaining.  

Part of him knew that it was unattainable; it was foolish to like someone this much, with no reservation, no hesitation. In his self-reflecting hours, he imagined his brain scolding him, disappointed at his irrationality, and he imagined his inexperienced heart preparing for a disaster, fretting to wrap itself in a protective cover. Conversely, another part of him, a part he couldn’t pinpoint, cheered him on. That part of him refused to see why he couldn’t fall for Siwon. After all, he had counted the reasons.

Reason one: It was meant to be.

The first time Kyuhyun saw him was on TV. Seventeen at the time, he was seated on the floor of his parents’ living room watching the rookie group debut when the handsome entertainer on-screen instantly seized his attention.
