Chapter 4
Avoidance

They avoided each other.

One was enveloped in a sense of guilt, the other in misery, but both were ashamed of facing the other.

For Siwon, the guilt was immediate. The sight of Kyuhyun running past him, broke his trance and pulled him out from his anger. He hit the side of the elevator when all he wanted to hit was himself.

He was appalled at the way he acted and didn’t know what came over him. He didn't know he had issues controlling his anger. He could only recall losing his temper at a couple of people and they were his parents. He didn’t hate Kyuhyun, just as he didn’t hate his parents. His feelings towards the younger were far from hatred.

Looking back, what he knew for certain was that he was deliberately looking for reasons to stay angry. He was looking for ways to be cruel, and words to hurt Kyuhyun. He never felt less of a man than when he raised his voice at a blameless Kyuhyun. It baffled him how easily he unleashed his ugliest self on the one person who didn’t deserve to see it.
