The castle was quiet. Too quiet. Only the howling of the wind slicing through the trees could be heard. It was pin-drop silent, and one could faintly make out the sound of the dripping water in the dungeon. Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop.

A person stepped through the one of the stone-encased rooms of the castle. He stopped at the large window, folded his arms across his broad chest, and sighed to himself. He gazed out at the sky, the orange-red sunset casting a bloodred shadow over the campus of Star Empire Academy.

Unsettled, he approached his mahogany desk and spoke over the intercom to his assistant. "Mr. Suk, I would like you to call in the nine of them and have them meet me in my office as soon as they can. Over."

Who was he? Tall, proud, and confident, he was none other than the reknowned headmaster of the academy. After having built up his throne with countless years of toil and bloodshed, he finally arose as the master of the academy. His story was a legend that never died amongst the students. It had been passed around like juicy gossip, but the story had never once been uttered from his mouth. Around here, he was known as Mr. G to his students. Nobody knew his true name, knew about his life, or even saw his whole face as it was always covered by a bejeweled black mask. But there was one thing that everybody knew about him:

He was in charge, and nobody was taking that away from him.

A soft knock sounded on his wooden door and he beckoned the visitors in. Nine boys, tall in stature, filed inside the room in an orderly fashion and stood before their headmaster.

"Annyeonghasaeyo, Mr. G. You called all of us here...?" Junyoung addressed Mr. G, twiddling his thumbs nervously. Almost everyone was at least somewhat afraid of their headmaster. That was how you instilled order. Fear.

Mr. G gave a deep, throaty chuckle. "Don't worry, my boys, you are not in trouble. Rather, I have a favor to ask of all of you."

"Favor? What kind of favor, Headmaster-nim?" Dongjun tilted his head in confusion.

The other boys of ZE:A looked to Mr. G, curious to know what their mighty headmaster couldn't do that they could.

"First of all, I'm sure you all are aware that we will be accepting nine new students, yes?" They all nodded at the same time. "And in order to make their incoming experience more, ah, enjoyable, I will be assigning each of you to a student. To show them around and help them integrate into their classrooms and respective classes."

Taehun's eyes widened. "Why us, Mr. G? I'm sure there are more qualified students to show those students around, like Seungho or Seohyun or Kikwang!"

Amid their protests, Mr. G held up a gloved hand. They all fell silent at once. "I have my reasons. You nine are the only ones whom I see fit to help incorporate the nine new students into our community, and thats final."

The nine members had no more words to say, just stared down at the embroidered carpet on the floor.

"So its settled. When the students come, be ready to be with them for a lot of their first month. You are dismissed."

They started shuffling towards the door, still without saying anything, when Mr. G stopped them again. They all turned toward him.

"Oh, and before I forget, I will have to remind you that all of the new students will be female. So there is no letting your... male hormones get in the way, alright? They are strictly your mentees. Now you may leave." He grinned impishly and waved them out.

a/n Hello again! Just wanted to give a teaser of my writing style. Its sort of my first time writing something like this, so please understand if its kind of bad. Anyways, I really like Mr.G. He's mysterious and brooding, but you never know what he might pull. Oh, and I LOVED your applications!<3 I read every single one of them, and I already have some in mind. This is going to be fun ;).
