She glanced at the clock on the table, 1:47 AM.. It's already morning?, she thought. She was suppose to be sleeping at this hour but because of the pile of papers needed to be checked, she couldn't. Rubbing her tired eyes, she continued with her work hoping she would finish soon so she could finally sleep.

She focused so much in checking, she got startled when arms suddenly wrapped around her neck and a body leaned on her, trapping her in a back hug.

 

"Unni~"

 

The latter then softly laid her head on her own arm placed on her shoulders. She smiled a little hearing how sleepy the woman was with her voice like that. Gently, she held the hanging hand with her own to which the latter responded by softly tightening their hold.

 

"Unni anniya", she said, giggling.

 

" ... Ah.. right. Sorry Yoongie-yah~"

 

She must be too sleepy to call me that.

 

"Wae-yo? 'unni'"

 

"Hiiing~ Don't call me unni~", she could feel the pout on her ear.

 

She's extra cute when she's sleepy.

 

"You started it though"

 

" .. mm I already said sorry Yoona-yah~"

 

"Arasso arasso"

 

The sleepy girl then moved to sit on Yoona's lap placing her arms around her waist and her head cuddling onto her neck.
Minutes after she continued with her work, the girl on her lap then started to mumble quiet whispers on her ear in which she responded with equal tonality.

 

"Yoona~"

 

"Wae~"

 

" ... Yoona-yah~"

 

"Yuri-yah~"

 

" ... Are you not gonna sleep yet?"

 

"Not yet, I need to finish this. Go back to bed unni I know you're sleepy"

 

"Mmm..."

 

Feeling movement on her shoulder, she assumed that the girl agreed. More so when the latter shifted and stood from her place. But she was then surprised when Yuri picked all the papers laid on the table, grabbed her hand, and pulled her out of her chair.

 

Since her work desk is near from the bed, with only seconds passed, she found herself sitting on the edge of the bed with Yuri pulling the adjustable table close to her then adjusting the height and place of the table board in front of her with slightly closed eyes.

 

With that finished, Yuri slid on the bed, moving behind, pulling her and proceeded with their position a while ago only this time, with Yuri sitting on the bed with her arms and legs around Yoona's waist and her head snuggling on her back with Yuri's nose buried on the nape of her neck.

 

I think she looks like a koala right now. Aah kyeopta~

 

Amazed by her unni's action, she was a bit reluctant to continue her work set before her.

 

"Yuri unni"

 

" ... "

 

"Yul~"

 

"Mmm.. wae?"

 

"Are you okay to sleep like this?"

 

"Mmn"

 

"Won't your body hurt from it?"

 

"Mmn"

 

" ... You're not listening are you?"

 

"Mmn"

 

"Aah unni~"

 

"Mm waee~"

 

"You don't mind?"

 

She felt the girl's head shook left and right then snuggled closer to her with her hold around her tightening.

 

"You're much more comfortable"

 

She couldn't help but smile at what her unni just said. Why are you so cute?

 

"Jinjja?"

 

Yuri nodded. "Mn"

 

"Even than the bed?"

 

And nodded. "Mn"

 

"Than the pillows?"

 

And nodded again. "Mn"

 

"Hmm.. Even than your big Mickey plushie"

 

"Of course"

 

As if she wasn't happy enough with her unni's fast, ‘no-second-thoughts-needed’ statement, Yuri grabbed her left hand and held it tightly.

 

"Im Yoona is MUCH more comfortable than anything in the world... I would still choose you over anything"

 

When Yoona felt Yuri's steady breathing, she then looked at the papers with a big smile on her face and continued with her work.

Sheets rustled as a body tossed and turned, making the comforter move along with it. An arm then stretched its way out, removing the cover over her head and glanced at the clock on the nightstand, 5:45 AM... it's still early, she thought. 

Yawning and stretching in her place, she let her hand wander through the bed and realized that the space beside her was empty. Slowly, she sat quietly with her eyes closed and eyebrows slightly furrowed. 

Nearly forgetting the reason she sat since the sleepiness was crawling back to her, she smelt something that caused her eyelids to slowly flutter open and gazed on the direction of the opened door.

 

Coffee?

 

With light, sleepy steps, she went her way to the kitchen and found the reason why she got up.

 

"Yuri unni"

 

"Aah, Yoona good morning~"

 

"Mmn.. morning"

 

“Why are you awake already? Your class isn’t till eight righ—”

 

Yuri was interrupted by the sudden weight on her shoulder and she couldn’t help but chuckle at the lose arms around her waist. Probably still sleepy.

 

“..so?”, she lightly nudged the woman who was close to falling asleep on her back.

 

“...I smelled coffee .. my feet—”, Yoona yawned, “..dragged me here..”

 

“Want some?”

 

Yoona hummed. “Oh..wait. Lemme brush teeth first”

 

She lazily let go of Yuri’s waist to move to the sink, but of course not forgetting to kiss the tan’s cheek before leaving her side.

"Yes, I almost couldn't finish checking them las—..."

 

".. Hm? Yoona?"

 

"..Oh", Yoona chuckled, "Sorry, just saw someone. Well, I'll be taking my leave first"

 

"Ooh~ Lover's there to pick you up already?"

 

"How niiice~ I wish I have someone to pick me up as well"

 

"That could happen if you'd just act a bit more feminine and acceptable around people. Y'know, maybe someone'd be interested in you"

 

"Waah. How mean for someone who hasn't even had a boyfriend all her life"

 

"Yes, but I did have a line of suitors, I just didn't feel like accepting. Have you?"

 

".. Ugggghhh you are seriously an annoying, little hag"

 

"At least I'm interestingly cute. Not like some embarrassing, tall glutton"

 

"Ugh. Can you believe this middle schooler, Yoona?"

 

"I'm sorry to have a flag pole trouble you like this, Yoona. Now ran along, someone's waiting for you on the cold outside"

 

Yoona laughed. "You two really get along well"

 

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!"

 

A series of complains flooded over Yoona till she reached the faculty door before her two co-teachers nicely bid her goodbye.

This is how a day usually ends for her and she was more than satisfied to at least have people relieve her from the stress her students and directors were putting her into everyday.

She wasn't really new to this kind of environment, in fact she had been in the industry for years now, and she could say that being a teacher really suits her best.

Those kind of thoughts entered her mind one by one while other teachers and her students greeted her as she passed by the halls, slowly leaving the prefecture.

Both good and bad memories played in her head as she walked, and she was satisfied with the kind of life she has.

She didn't really know if she was smiling all the way, but she knew that a big smile is painted on her face when she finally saw the person familiarly leaning by the school gates.

 

"You should really stop waiting for me like that"

 

"And why is that?"

 

"You look like a high school boy waiting for his girlfriend that's studying on a different school to come out or something"

 

"Well, is that not what I'm doing?"

 

A slap on Yuri's shoulder.

 

"Oww. What? I mean, I am waiting for my girlfriend..", Yuri quoted her fingers, "..that's on a different work..", and smiled, "to come out"

 

Another slap.

 

"OW! Now that really hurt, why is that?"

 

"I just felt like slapping you harder", Yoona winked and walked, of course immediately followed by her tan girlfriend.

 

"Well you should at least lessen that or I might get a bruise, or worse a fractured shoulder. That's not really a good thing for nurses to have", Yuri said all the while stealing Yoona's heavy bag and carried it on her slapped shoulder like it was nothing.

"You said some embarrassing things again last night"

 

"Hm? Like what?"

 

"For starters, you called me unni.. again"

 

"I did?", Yuri asked, mindlessly playing on slim, white fingers.

 

"Yea. And you slept on me like a koala", Yoona giggled.

 

"..Well at least koalas are cute", Yuri shifted her chin.

 

"Wow. Embarrassing unni"

 

"Whaaat? So you're saying I'm not cute?"

 

"You're not"

 

"WHAT? Ugh how rude"

 

Yoona giggled as she snuggled deeper onto Yuri's chest and the arms on her stomach automatically followed her movement.

 

".. So.. I'm not?", Yuri asked several minutes after they resumed watching the drama, or at least Yoona did.

 

"You weren't watching?"

 

"I'm distracted. I mean, I thought that's what you love about me most"

 

Yoona laughed and pinched the hand she was holding.

 

"Ow! You should really refrain from the physical torments", Yuri commented before biting Yoona's shoulder.

 

"OW!?"

 

"That's called 'tasting your own medicine'", Yuri said then nipped the tip of Yoona's ear.

 

Yoona chuckled, "What?"

 

"A treat's layed in front of me, of course I'd have a bite or two"

 

Yoona laughed as she eyelessly reached for Yuri's puffy cheek and pinched them. But as soon as she released her hold, Yuri nipped her fingers.

 

Yoona was laughing hard already, "What?"

 

"I'm not gonna sit still until I hear an answer y'know", Yuri said and rubbed her chin on Yoona's shoulder before lowly whispering on the now reddened ear, "So?"

 

It wasn't the first time that Yuri this way, and especially not the first time she heard Yuri's effortless sultry, low voice and yet the effect on her was still like how it was the first time. It was melting. Yoona was melting.

The arms that held her tightly, but still gently, wasn't really helping her pounding heart to calm down at all either.

She wanted to turn around, to see the adorable face she loved close, yet at the same time she don't. Maybe because she was shy? She didn't know, heck they've been together for years already so she shouldn't be this shy anymore. But yet she still is.

 

"I guess that's your effect on me"

 

"Huh?"

 

Yoona sighed when she realized she said her thoughts out loud and just decided to face Yuri. She wasn't aware of the sweet smile she had on her face though.

 

"Yes, you are cute. You're adorable", Yoona pinched Yuri's nose once the latter sheepishly smiled, "But do keep in mind that that's not the only reason why I love you please"

 

Yuri chuckled and wrapped her arms around Yoona again, though this time over her waist. "I know, you don't have to worry. I love you too"

 

Yoona blinked. "..You are so unfair"

 

"What? What did I do?"

 

Yoona pouted but eventually smiled again. She found the clueless look on Yuri's face too adorable she just went and pecked her lips without realizing.

They both had dumbfounded faces but it didn't take long before Yuri chuckled.

 

"You're the one who's unfair"

 

She whispered before snaking her hand over Yoona's nape and kissed her.

Embraced with the warmth she incessantly felt from Yuri. Her arms cozily covering her, like always. No doubt, Yuri is Yoona's bliss.
