It wasn’t until two weeks later that they met again. Instead of a party, they met at a coffee shop. And instead as a stranger, they were introduced to each other as coworkers. 

 

“You two know each other already?” Their supervisor asked, her eyes shifting from Diya to Kwang-Soo. She hired Diya because the cafe gets a lot of foreign customers and they needed someone with fluent English. 

 

The supervisor turned to Kwang-Soo with a stern glare. “If you already her know when you train her. She’ll be working with you for the next few days so she can learn everything.” With that, she left the two behind the counter. 

 

Kwang-Soo couldn’t really talk much since the crowd started to get heavy in the cafe. “Honestly speaking, I really didn’t expect to meet you again,” Diya said during their break time. 

 

“Why?” He asked, taking a sip of the coffee she made for them. It was surprising that he saw her again, to say the least, but he never expected to not see her again. 

 

“Ever since I came here you are the only person who treated me nicely. I just thought that it would be too good to be true to see you again,” She honestly answered. She smiled at his surprised look and continued to explain herself as best as she could in Korean. “Everyone who looks at me sees me as some weird human being. They also bring up ‘curry’ or that stupid song you guys seem to think as the only Indian song there is,” she said r
