Huykjae's pv :

We kissed for a while and things got pretty heated, and we ended up on the bed then suddenly we heard knock on the door.  I got annoyed but we stopped, and I could see Hae being all red and lost. 

"yeah?"

I said harsh. 

Min came in and looked a bit disturbed. 

"Your dad is here" 

he said in a low voice. That's weird, he never comes here. I hurried and put my mask back on, and rushed out to the living room. even thou both him and my stepmom only saw me few times before my surgery when I was younger  they don't really know how I Look like either. They never bothered to check up on me, just now recently when I entered te company that they started to invite me to family dinners, which then I had already started using the mask.  Even when he was asking me to help him, he sent his personal assistant or he would call. 

Dad was standing there with his cane to support him. He wasn't well. I walked close to him, and bowed to him

"father"

I said, and without a word, he slaps me

I could tell Min flinched , and I made a subtile sign for him to not move.

"I give you my trust and this is what you do? cheating and putting disgrace to the family?"

He yelled at me. I said nothing. And he kept going and going on and on about everything that was wrong with me which had no effect on me, heard it all before, and then those words that he knew would affect me, came out

"you are truly your mothers son, just as useless, you should have died with her " 

I looked at him, and tears was forming in my eyes, 

useless? I thought, you have no idea what she went through just to keep me alive, suddenly heard

"yeah you are right, he is just like his mom" 

startling all of us. He walked closer to us, and pulled me behind him so he was standing in between me and my dad.  Wait what is going on, what is he doing, got so many thoughts in my head I could not think straight. Is Hae trying to protect me?

"he is just like his mother, kind, and caring , amazing, talented, hardworking. but your mistaken by the word useless, not to disrespect you but that fit you and your wife better"   

Wow, what did he just say, and then bam, dad slapped Hae, which got me furious, and I pulled Hae away, but he would not stand still and was walking back to my dad and in between me and him,

"see , even the way you hit is weak and useless. do you think you are great? just because you got money? snap out of it, money is not everything. " 

"Donghae enough !"

I said, in a low voice, my mind was just processing what just happened, and I could not help but smile, my bad Hae was coming back. 

"No Huyk, he needs to hear it, I don't even understand how you can even dare come here, or even dare ask him for help, after all those years you guys ignored him and treated him like air. its pathetic, but because Hyuk IS like his mom, that made him help you out, just because your blood runs in his veins. but listen, I'm going to protect him now no matter what, so trust this, once we done with this project, you will never be able to see him again, unless you beg him for forgiveness , even then I will be the one to decide if you are worthy enough to be in his life.  "

"who the hell do you think you are to talk to me like this"

my dad said angry and with shaky voice

"me? I'm Lee Donghae" 

Hae said confidently I looked over to Min, and he was also trying hard not to laugh.  And it all just came back to me, how I fell crazy in love with him the first time I did. I could tell dad was all lost and hurt, so I said

"Think you should leave, and like Hae said, we will finish the project, and I will finish what you wanted me to do, and then leave the company" 

Dad looked at me and turned to leave, then he turned around and said,

"you do know he looks like a monster and that will ruin your project no matter how hard you try to win this  , you will both fail, and for you little gold digging dream, no matter how much money he has, wont be easy to fake love with a monster, so you should back off while you can" 

and Donghae crossed his arms and said

"Oh well, if we fail, it would be your loss , beside you just read my mind, but I was thinking that about your wife."

he said smirking, then continued to say

"  monster or not,  always loved him, always will, even if u kicked him out and somehow toke all his money and he was left all , actually really would not mind him all , even then I will be by his side." 

that caught him off guard , 

but made me smile from ear to ear, and then he walked out sulky.  

Everyone was quiet for a minuet then Min's wife came out,

"Oh my god, seriously love the out of you!"

and hugged Hae tightly, both me and Min reacted instantly, 

" Yah!"  

Donghae's pv : 

Hope Hyuk wont get mad for speaking like that to his father, both Min and him had been quiet since he left. I just could not control myself, could not stand the way he treated and have been treating Hyuk, Hyuk wants me strong, I need to be stronger to protect him, like I used too. So I meant what I said.
