“Hey [Name], do you have anything on tomorrow?” Jeno asked as he leaned forward to have a look at the face of the other from the backseat. Curse Mark and his “I like [Name] better so [Name] sits at the front when they ride” rule.

“No, why?” The other replied as they scrolled through Instagram, smile immediately coming onto their face when they see a new selfie posted by their favourite idol. Jeno nearly puked when he saw the hearts that were threatening to come out of their childhood friend’s eyes as they double tapped the screen in front of them. 

“We haven’t had a hang out for like half a year since we’ve both been busy.” He replied, leaning back to favour the view of the city as Mark drove past each building. 

“Where are you going with this, Jeno?” Mark asked as he made eye contact with his younger band mate through the rear-view mirror.

“I’m telling [Name] and [Name] only that we should hang out tomorrow!” Jeno replied coolly as he saw Mark glare at him once again through the rear-view mirror. 

“Sure, I’m down for it.” [Name] replied as they started to admire past pictures on their favourite idol’s Instagram. 

“Don’t you have that other photoshoot with Nightcore Magazine?” Mark asked from his seat as he stopped politely  to allow a family of ducks to cross. 

“Oh…it’s okay. I can always cancel. I mean, Nightcore is pretty bad at handling models anyway,” [Name] replied, accidentally liking a picture of their favourite celebrity from two years ago.

 

It was safe to say that Mark had heard ringing in his ears for days and Jeno’s stomach wouldn’t stop hurting from laughter after that car ride.

“See! I told you to dye it back!” Chenle exclaimed as he peeked over Renjun’s shoulder to see the new text that the older’s crush had sent. 

“Ew you two should date already,” Jisung, who was on the other side of Renjun, said in an exasperated tone as he quickly scanned the messages that came.

“Why are you two here, again?” Renjun asked them as he glared at both of the group’s maknaes. 

“Because someone was shoving their phone in our faces and panicking because [Name] liked their picture,” Chenle stated flatly.

“Then, we decided to help by texting them first and sometimes throughout the whole chat. But, seriously hyung, your crush is dense,” Jisung added on, equally as flat, as he stared at his hyung. 

“Look if only you guys didn’t-“

“Ge, just meet them! Everyone knows how much you like them!” Chenle shouted as he stared the older Chinese boy down. Intimidated, Renjun moved to leave the room but not before locking his phone and glaring at the two younger boys.

 

“Touch my phone and you die,” He stated as he walked out the door, not noticing Jisung’s smirk as he grabbed the older’s phone immediately after. 

“Chenle, I think we should let [Name] and Manager-hyung know that Renjun wants his hair red again. You agree?” Jisung asked the younger as his fingers flew over the keyboard. Smirking at his partner in crime, Chenle sent his manager a text saying that Renjun wanted red hair again in time for the fan signing event.

Jisung smirked as he saw the reply and relocked the older’s phone and placed it back where it was mere seconds before Renjun entered the room.

“What did you do?” Renjun asked the two as he witnessed the smirks on their faces. Before any of the two had a chance to reply, Renjun’s phone vibrated with an incoming call from their manager.

“Go on ge, answer it!” Chenle said as he eagerly handed the phone over. Hesitantly, Renjun answered.

 

“Hello? Manager-hyung?”

“Ah Renjun! Chenle said you wanted to dye your hair red, right?”

“He did?”

“Yep! You know it’s okay for you to tell me! You should have told me before!”

“Um…actually…”

“So I just got the dye and since all of you have a free day tomorrow, we can either do it tonight or tomorrow. When do you want me to come over with the dye?” Gritting his teeth and trying to control his voice, Renjun contemplated when he wanted to dye his hair. Sure, he loved the colour red but having it done so soon…

“He can do it tonight, Manger-ge!” Chenle answered for him, statement followed by his own dolphin-like laugh accompanied with Jisung’s lower chuckle.

“Alright, I’ll be over in an hour or two so make sure you’re ready, Renjun!” His manager exclaimed before abruptly hanging up and leaving a seething Renjun that only saw the same colour as his soon-to-be hair.

“Yeah, make sure you’re ready hung!” Jisung shouted as he pulled Chenle out of the room by his wrist, avoiding the onslaught of anger that was sure to erupt from the shorter but older male. Sighing, Renjun ran a hand through his hair.
