Description

Death is the only thing on Song Mina's (OC) mind as she is expected to die at 20 years old due to her illness, cystic fibrosis. Yet, once her doctor, Jinhwan and fellow patient, Junhoe begin to fight for her love, death becomes the last thing on her mind. 

 

Foreword

"I use to think of death too much. Too much that it would make me have a headache. I'd toss and turn, throwing my pillow out of my bed and bundled up my blankets in my clammy hands as I'd imagine my heart stopping for good. But, now I do all that because of them. When I think of Jinhwan, I turn to my right and bite my lips. When I think of Junhoe, I turn to my left and grip my hair. If only I had more years to live than I'd have enough time to decide who I truly loved. Yet, the best thing to do now is to  just wish for love but promise to not give in to it."

 

*side notes:

  • I've done research on cystic fibrosis and bronchitis but I don't know everything. I do apologize if I get anything wrong about those illnesses 
  • the main characters are Jinhwan and Junhoe. The rest of the iKON members are included but they are not main characters
  • I will be using their names that they had before they changed to Ju-ne, Jay, DK, Song, Chan... my apologies if you favor their newer names. Also, B.I will be referenced as Hanbin

Chapter 3: Wait the guy was Junhoe? HAHAHAH wow I really didn't think it was him because I thought, why would a sick person be smoking and when you described him as a "man" I thought it was Bobby or Mino, but Junhoe is meant to be the same age as her right? I guess it's the height. But thanks for updating! I'm really looking forward to more and your story is literally on the top of my can't-wait-for-updates list hehe. Love your writing and your characters - Mina is so relatable! All the best writing! :)

Chapter 2: Thanks for the update I really enjoyed it and squealed when I saw the notification! I liked the relationship development you showed between Mina and Jinhwan, and enjoyed Junhoe's entrance into the story and Mina's life~ I just cannot wait till they meet again! By the way I find it amazing how you write in the hospital context - I've always wanted to write a story that is medical in some way but my deficient knowledge discouraged me, but I find it amazing when other writers do it. Keep it up!

Hahaha omg I'm definitely glad and relieved that you won't be using their new stage names. Not that they're bad, but for this story where they're not celebrities using their actual names is definitely desirable. ^^

Chapter 1: Omg I am actually in love with this story already. This was a great start and I cannot wait to see what you have in store for us with the next coming chapters!! Firstly, Jinhwan already sounds like a great character and I love how they met when Mina was first hospitalised, and the fact that they're 10 years apart did surprise me but hey no complaints. In fact, it makes it so much more interesting! I've actually been taking a hiatus from reading fan fiction but when I saw your story under the 'Junhoe' tag I instantly clicked so I think it's safe to say that my hiatus ends today. And what I love about stories where the heroine is sick is that no matter how supposedly cliche they are, the writer has the power to paint the story with its own unique colours which is what makes it amazing. And I just can't wait for you to update this story!! <3

OMG WHAT IS THIS??!! This sounds like my type of story and to think I'm the first to comment - I love angsty/tragic plots omggg, and with Junhoe as a male lead YASSS. Of course I do like Jinhwan as well but like, I will always favour Junhoe in a different way!
