Broken ThreadA boy was strolling down the street, admiring the sight of the city around him. It was Christmas Eve. It was in the late afternoon, and the sky was beginning to darken. The boy gazed at the windows lit up with lights and the wreaths on the street lights. It was cold, but the ground was bare, devoid of the snow a Christmas should have. The boy sighed, running a hand through his hair, combing through messy dark brown hair.
He'd be spending this Christmas alone too, no doubt. He'd broken contact with his parents when he turned eighteen and his older brother Wonwoo was across the country with his boyfriend. He was a loner, and his only friend was with his family. His roommate went home too. It would be yet another lonely Christmas in his dorm, alone.
Caught up in his thoughts, he forgot to watch where he was going. He ran into something with a yelp. Blinking his eyes and shaking off his shock, he rushed to apologize to the boy he had knocked over.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry, I should’ve been looking where I was going,” he said frantically. “Are you okay?” The boy sat up, laughing as he looked up at the flustered boy. His ruffled hair was dyed purple.
“It’s alright, I’m fine,” the boy said. “Mind giving me a hand?” The other held out a hand to help the boy. Their eyes locked.
“Have I met you before?” the brown-haired boy asked curiously. The purple-haired boy shook his head.
