My Best Friend is a Superstar!

Being a third year biology major at UCLA is no joke for 20 year old Keiko Kitagawa, whose current and only purpose in life is to become a pediatric. Despite having a pretty face and nice physique, Keiko's shy and reserved nature had driven her into wanting nothing more than to be as normal as normal can get. All that is about to change when she receives an e-mail from 3 childhood friends, whom she has lost contact with 5 years ago and they are asking for a reunion. As exciting as it may sound, Keiko is pretty damn sure that unlike her they have changed quite a bit. Before Keiko realizes, right in front of her are five tall, hot and extremely handsome looking men that appear as if they just jumped right out of a manga book. And from then on, Keiko's life will never be the same.

Foreword

"Hey Keiko! Oh my gosh you have no idea how excited I am! Tomorrow is the big day!" Jung So Min, my best friend since high school, went high pitched and giddy as usual when talking about her favorite K-pop band St. Cloud. So Min has been a big fan since the band debuted over 2 years ago and idolizes every single member of the band, especially the leader Jaejoong. "I am so gonna book the tickets and please Keiko, you have to come with me! I'll buy the ticket for you if you have no money! I cannot believe they are coming to California for a concert and this is like a dream come true. I can finally see Jaejoong in person!"

"So Min, isn't the concert not until 3 months from now?" I asked, shaking my head in amazement of the neverending excitement So Min displayed in her tone of voice.

"Yes but you have to buy ahead of time! It gets sold out fast because St. Cloud is that popular." So Min defended, kissing her iphone screen of which displayed an image of the band. "Anyways we should head to class. Quiz is in 5 minutes so we better hurry."

We hurried to our Microbiology class and sat in the back of the classroom. I hate being in the front, where chances of getting picked on by the professor is highly likely. I was never the teacher's favorite, unlike So Min, who loves to ask and answer everything and anything thrown at her. She is very smart and has nearly a 4.0 gpa. Both of her parents are doctors, and like them, she will be one someday.

Through out lecture, So Min was on her laptop the entire time looking at pictures of St. Cloud. She whispered to me about how Jaejoong used to be a chubby kid when he was young, and how Hyun Joong is his cousin, and that they were born in Japan when they were kids. "You know that Japanese idol named Yamapi? I have a huge crush on him right now because of his new drama. You have got to watch it Keiko." She whispered delightedly, her eyes twinkled with enthusiasm.

I smiled at her and nodded in agreement seeing how ecstatic she can be when it comes to Asian idols. Deep down, I cared about them a lot more than it seems. The fact that they were good friends, how they used to live in Japan, how Hyun Joong can be a trickster sometime, and how Yamapi was a school jock back in the days, I knew all about it. I knew because I was there, because I went to school with them, because I was once a part of their lives. They were my best friends.
