Unlikely Flirting

Description

One night, it occured to me that Jungkook and Vernon would get along - perhaps as something other than friends.

Jungkook has probably met Vernon a few times. They respect each other. Jungkook thinks he’s cute. They were alone once and kissed, hard. It wasn’t anything ual, but Jungkook just wanted to see what kissing him would feel like. Vernon was nervous, but he liked the way kissing Jungkook felt different; besides, Jungkook was good looking. Now they sneak kisses once in a while when no one is looking. Jungkook likes staring into Vernon’s eyes and saying his name. . .

Foreword

Jungkook didn’t want to say it, but when he saw Hansol practicing his rap in the empty room, it reminded him that he used to think that Hansol’s rapping was kind of weak. How could he not when he spent every day with rappers like his hyungs? He was too polite to say it, but that didn’t matter because it had gotten better and he could say things like: “Vernonie, your rap has improved so much.”

“Jungkook hyung-nim?” Hansol’s eyes were wide, and his ears were turning red. He tried to find the right words to make the right impression. “I think I have a long way to go, but thank you.”

“You’ll get there, kid.”

Hansol scanned the room for someone else because he refused to believe that Jungkook was there to see him – not when he had cooler friends to see. As he had assumed when he first started to practice, there was no one in sight. He was usually good at being friendly, but he had never been alone with Jungkook before.

“I’m sorry if it sounds rude, but do you need something?” Hansol went to grab his phone from his bag, which was laying on the floor next to the wall. “If you’re looking for one of the hyungs, I can call them for you. I just assume you’d be here for Mingyu or S.Coups or The8 or someone.”

Hansol was cute when he was nervous; he kept his eyes down and smiled a little more than necessary. He was polite and he seemed so innocent that Jungkook almost had to mess with him, “no. I’m not looking for anyone in particular.”

“Oh, then why are you here – I mean, did you come here for any reason?” Hansol backed against the wall. He wished he was taller because those few centimeters made Jungkook look even more attractive as he looked down at him.

“Your hyungs don’t give you enough credit; you’re actually quite cute.”

Hansol felt a chill through his spine, which he prayed was from the wall but knew that to be wrong. He had almost gotten used to all the flirting between him and the rest of Seventeen, but Jungkook was different. Jungkook hadn’t even touched him yet and the intimacy was enough to interrupt the natural rhythm of his heartbeat. “Hyung-nim, that’s very kind, but –“

“Am I being too bold?” Jungkook smirked. Hansol shook his head. “Then I can. . .?”

“You can,” Hansol’s eyes darted quickly to Jungkook’s lips.

It was chaste and sweet because Jungkook was too shy to trust his hands to Hansol’s body. JHe didn’t even expect to feel embarrassed. This was just a game of curiosity. He liked Hansol’s eyes and sharp jawline and how he looked foreign but not so foreign either. Hansol liked the way Jungkook dressed and the ways his eyes fluttered shut when he sang – and when he kissed.

Jungkook pulled back with his face asking for approval. Hansol pecked his lips once.

“I guess you can drop the ‘-nim’ now.”

“Yeah, I guess so.”

“Hey, great performance today!” Hansol smiled as peaked into BTS’s dressing room, only to find it nearly empty. He looked at Jungkook, “where are the others, hyung?”

“Gone,” Jungkook smirked, walked over to Hansol, and pushed him lightly against the door, shutting it in the process. He placed a long and breathy kiss on his neck, just below his jaw, while locking the door.

“Hyung, don’t. I’ve been sweating.”

“Cute,” Jungkook scoffed before dragging his tongue along Hansol’s lower lip, “you think that could stop me. Really, Hansol?”

Hansol got embarrassed by the way Jungkook said his name, as if there was something sensual about it – something they could dance to with their bodies attached at the hip. Jungkook loved the way that name felt and how it put a spell over its owner.

Jungkook had gotten increasingly bold, biting and pulling the younger’s lips from time to time. Hansol didn’t really mind; it was exciting, these constant sneaky touches and kisses. They mixed together casually and intimately – even though they both liked the intimate times more because who would choose shopping together over each other’s lips, especially with their hormones. Hansol quietly wondered how long it would be before Jungkook was laying over him, asking for permission to keep going.

A violent pounding sounded against Hansol’s back.

“Jungkook, open this ing door, you little -,” Yoongi yelled. Jungkook and Hansol pulled away and adjusted themselves before they opened the door. Hansol was shocked when he saw Seungcheol, Jihoon, and Minghao standing in the doorframe with Yoongi.

“There you ing are,” Jihoon mumbled, “we thought you got kidnapped by someone who was about to regret their entire life and every decision up to now.”

“ your boyfriend on your own time, you . The van is waiting outside.” Minghao frowned.

“Kids, language! But seriously Vernon, let’s go.” Seungcheol pat Hansol’s back as Jihoon and Minghao grabbed his collar and pulled him out of the room. “Thanks for helping us find him Yoongi hyung.”

Jungkook watched in fear and amusement. It looked like Hansol had his own Yoongi divided into three people. Yoongi smirked, “Vernon? Seriously, Jungkookie? He’s cute and all but damn.“

“We were working on a rap together!”

“Yeah, sure.”
