Got7 Secret Santa Event 2017 STORIES ARE HERE (BIG REVEAL)

ha sorry it took so long...it's king (ok no it is dont listen to these lies) a songfic but it fits the prompt enough

“I found a love for me

Darling, just dive right in and follow my lead

Well, I found a boy, beautiful and sweet

Oh, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me.”

Youngjae’s ears picked up the gentle sounds of a guitar accompanied by a dulcet voice. The sounds drifted through the deserted hallway, reverberating off the ceramic tiles and metal lockers. Youngjae looked around in curiosity, searching for the source of the sound. He wandered down the hallway until he came to a set of double doors. The marker above them labeled the room as the Music Hall.

“'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love

Not knowing what it was.”

The song continued, the singer’s voice was deep and husky. He sounded like a professional, no a highschooler. Youngjae peered into the door and spied a boy with dark hair and broad shoulders. He had long fingers that played the keys with a gentle touch. Caressing them with purpose. Youngjae might have just fallen in love a little then and there.

“I will not give you up this time.”

Youngjae would soon learn that his name was Im Jaebum and a senior at that. He was lucky enough to have a few encounters with him. Jaebum was the senior though, no not a senior- the senior, he was the whole package: handsome, rich, talented. He had the whole tall dark and handsome thing going on. Youngjae thought that he may have piqued his interest once or twice, but maybe that was just wishful thinking. When summer came and Jaebum graduated, not a word was spoken between the two.

“But darling, just kiss me slow

Your heart is all I own

And in your eyes you're holding mine.”

Youngjae was terrified, but excited nonetheless. Freshman year of college. Big words. He was finally grown up, all independent. He had gotten into one of the best music programs in the country with his vocals and piano skills. Walking around campus was almost overwhelming. Stalls were put up along the quad with bright banners and over excited college students passing out pamphlets.

“HEY! You there!” One of said over eager students caught Youngjae's attention.

Youngjae yelped and turned to look at the student with wide eyes.

“You’re a music major aren’t you?” The student keenly observed, “That folder your holding, it’s from Dr. Lee.”

“Um...yes?” Youngjae answered, a little creeped out.

“He’s my advisor too,” the student explained, “I’m Park Jinyoung, vocal focus. Ever thought about joining a music club?”

“Musc club?” Youngjae repeated in interest.

“Yep, we do a lot of fun stuff and volunteer at a local children’s home and senior living center. Our President could tell you more, but he had to leave for a bit. Take a flyer though,” Jinyoung informed handing him a piece of paper, “Our first meeting is next wednesday.”

“That actually sounds cool, yeah, I’ll be there!” Youngjae answered excitedly.

That was actually a terrible idea. Terrible why? Because when he entered the club room that next Wednesday, he was given a living reminder of his foolish teenage love. Standing there at the head of the classroom. Still tall. Still handsome and looking even more so with caress of adulthood. His hair was still black and his fingers still thin. This time they held onto the edge of a clipboard.

“Alright, so I guess I’ll start then. My name is Im Jaebum and I’m the president of this club. I have a clipboard here which you will all be signing to tell me that you were here and that you are interested.” The own of the deep and husky voice of his childhood tossed the clipboard on the nearest table.

Youngjae wanted to run out at that moment. He really considered it, but then he thought of how dumb he would look. It was just Jaebum, the senior that he crushed on in highschool. They didn’t even know each other, really. Jaebum wouldn't remember him. It’s been almost three years, there was not way.

The clipboard made its way to Youngjae’s seat and dejectedly the boy took it and signed his name. His head wanted Jaebum to not remember him, but his heart did. Soon enough the meeting adjourned. Jaebum had informed the group of member responsibilities and group activity that were to come. Youngjae left with a reminder on his phone for the meeting the following week. It was nothing out of the ordinary really. Jaebum had looked at him as he scanned the crowd. Youngjae sighed and leaned against the wall in the hallway of the music building, remembering how they made eye contact-though neither did anything about it. He was beginning to think that Jaebum really had forgotten him.

“Youngjae! Hey, Youngjae wait up!” There was that voice again, sounding breathless and hoarse.

Youngjae jumped off the wall and whipped his head back towards the club room to see Jaebum pushing through the last few students lingering in the hall.

“Oh good,” Jaebum huffed when he reached the younger, “It really is you.”

“Ah, s-sunbae...I-I didn’t think you recognized me, “Youngjae stuttered in shock, seeing Jaebum up close was doing terrible things to his heart.

“Of course I did,” Jaebum looked down at him in a mildly upset manner, “How have you been? It’s been too long.”

Youngjae and Jaebum made plans to meet up that week. Youngjae was nervous at first but then he actually met Jaebum on campus, his worries melted away. Jaebum still had that intimidating tall, dark and handsome aura that preceded him in high school. Though now it seemed less scary. Upon talking to the junior, he seemed more down to earth and friendly than Youngjae remembered. MAybe it was that Youngjae hadn’t really known him at all.

“So what is your focus going to be? Or have you decided yet?” Jaebum asked as he whipped out his black card to pay for their fast food.

“Um, piano-at least, that’s what got me into the program,” Youngjae replied, eyes trying not to stare at Jaebum’s expensive wallet filled with luxury cards or the many rings on his fingers or the name branded cuffs on his- maybe he should just not look at Jaebum at all.

“Piano?” Jaebum asked, strong eyebrow quirking at the word, “But you’re an amazing singer.”

“I-uh-you...you remember that? I, uh, didn’t sing much in highschool.” Youngjae blushed as Jaebum led them to a table in the Student Center Chick-fil-a.

“I may have...well...overheard you practicing sometimes.” Jaebum embarrassedly rubbed the back of his neck.

Youngjae watched in awe as a slight blush blossomed over Jaebum’s ears.

“You were really good and I couldn’t really help myself sometimes, sorry.”

Ok, so maybe Youngjae still had a teeny little crush on the man. And maybe he had a teeny tiny desire to kiss him too.

“Baby, I'm dancing in the dark

With you between my arms

Barefoot on the grass

Listening to our favourite song”

Youngjae stumbled his way through the backyard of some frat house. He hadn’t drank much. Drinking wasn’t really his thing, but he felt like he needed to take an edge off if he was going to survive the night. He ha grown rather close to Jinyoung over the first month of school. So when Jinyoung invited him to a party one weekend he said yes (maybe after the sophomore let slip that Jaebum would be present). However, he was now questioning his ‘quality’ friendship as the other black haired male had disappeared rather ealy on and the other haired male he actually wanted to see had yet to be seen. Youngjae frowned as he plopped down in the grass and removed his shoes. They were new and uncomfortable, not even broken in and leaving red sores on his toes and heels.

“You look drunk,” a deep voice suddenly chuckled from above him.

“ ‘M not,” Youngjae replied bitterly, looking up to see Jaebum’s face which had been darkened by the night sky.

“So you say,” Jaebum chuckled and plopped down beside him, beer in hand, “What brings you out here?”

“Jinyoung ditched me,” Youngjae informed, voice barely louder than the muffled bass booming within the house.

“Wait, Jinyoung brought you here?” Jaebum looked affronted, “ Are you two like a… well a…”

Youngjae side eyed the hesitant look on Jaebum’s face and laughed loudly, “No! Dear god, no. He just said I should meet more people or whatever…”

Jaebum nodded solemnly and looked back towards the house for a moment. They sat quietly for a while, Jaebum sipping on thee remnants of his drink and Youngjae fiddling with blades of grass. The song changed in the distance and Youngjae perked up at the sound, turning his head towards the house.

“Is that?” Youngjae asked quietly.

“Coldplay,” Jaebum smirked, “Wanna dance?”

Youngjae blushed but nodded, letting Jaebum pull him up, albeit a little clumsily on his part. Youngjae laughed quietly as Jaebum held onto him for balance.

“Sorry, i may have had a bit to drink,” Jaebum muttered, letting his head duck closer to Youngjae’s ear and by consequence, pulling the younger closer.

The two danced slowly, hips moving side to side with only their arms touching where Jaebum grasped on the youngers shoulders. Yet, Jaebum’s chest was only a breath away. His longer hair would graze Youngjae’s temple every so often as they swayed to the beat. Youngjae was too afraid to look up. He didn’t want to ruin the moment. Jaebum seemed to think differently. Youngjae suddenly found himself pulled flush against Jaebum’s chest, his strong arms wrapped around his shoulders, feet slotted between Youngjae’s own.

“Is this ok?” Jaebum asked, voice just a whisper in Youngjae’s ear.

“Yeah.”

“When you said you looked a mess

I whispered underneath my breath

But you heard it,

Darling, you look perfect tonight”

“I literally can’t, hyung,” Youngjae groaned and dropped his head on the liary study desk.

“Youngjae-ah,it’s not that hard,” Jaebum assured, reaching out to rub the younger student’s head.

“Says you,” Youngjae whined, face still squished against the tabletop, “You already took this class hyung.”

“Which is why I’m here to help you AND it is easy if you try,” Jaebum snorted, patting Youngjae’s head.

Youngjae flipped his head so that he faced Jaebum. Midterms were upon them and Youngjae had seeked out his handsome hyung for help in his class. Jaebum had taken the exact class with the exact professor his freshman year so he was beyond happy to help (and maybe also because pouty Youngjae was too cute to handle).

“I feel like death,” Youngjae groaned dramatically, closing his eyes, “I probably look like death to.”

Jaebum scoffed and turned away muttering something under his breath.

“What was that?” Youngjae sat up, hands moving to smooth down his hair, “Did you say never?”

“What?” Jaebum choked, “No, what? I didn’t.”

Youngjae let a smile slowly stretch across his face, a faint blush coating his cheeks, “You said I always look nice.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about Youngjae-ah,” Jaebum shook his head and pushed Youngjae’s textbook closer to his, “Get back to studying.”

“Thanks hyung,” Youngjae spoke after reading a page from his textbook, “I think you’re handsome too.”

“Well, I found a man, stronger than anyone I know

He shares my dreams, I hope that someday I'll share his home

I found a love to carry more than just my secrets

To carry love, to carry children of our own”

When Jaebum first heard Youngjae sing, he was immediately pulled into the soft timber of his voice, the trill of his high notes and the warmth of his low notes. He sang of love with so much passion that Jaebum couldn’t help but wonder if the boy himself was in love. Jaebum found himself wanting to hear the boy’s voice more and more, but senior year of high school was taking its toll on him. From sports practices, piano practice, vocal lessons and applying to universities on top of keeping up his above average academics, he found himself closing himself off from everyone just so that he could carve out enough time to get everything done. Though, he also found himself sacrificing a few minutes every now and then for that cute underclassman with the beautiful voice. His only regret upon graduating high school was not spending more time with him.

“We are still kids but we're so in love

Fighting against all odds

I know we'll be alright this time”

Jaebum had to keep himself from shouting out then and there. Sitting in the crowd of potential new members for the music club was none other than Choi Youngjae. The young man now had dark brown hair. His face still held a bit of baby fat on his cheeks, but he had definitely grown up from that blushing and quiet sophomore in the mixed choir. Jaebum continued the meeting dutifully and answered any questions that the new kids had. However when the meeting finished and people still wanted to talk to him, he couldn’t help but let his anxiousness take control of his body.

“Hey, sorry to interrupt but I need to steal our fearless leader for a moment,” Jinyoung interrupted his conversation, pulling Jaebum away despite the freshman’s quiet protest.

“Alright, what’s gotten into your pants?” Jinyoung tipped an eyebrow and looked at Jaebum as if he were a guilt-ridden child.

“There's an old friend of mine that was here. I really was hoping I could catch him before he left but people keep talking to me,” Jaebum rushed in a hushed whisper, eyes hinting at his frantic desire.

“I’ll answer questions if you agree to tell me about your supposed ‘friend’ later,” Jinyoung smirked knowingly, “Go get him tiger.”

“Darling, just hold my hand

Be my boy, I'll be your man

I see my future in your eyes”

Jaebum paced nervously in his apartment. Today was the day. He was going to do it. He was going to ask Youngjae out. He couldn’t do it in highschool-heck he couldn’t even give him a proper romance in highschool. He was going to do it right this time.

“Jaebum if you keep pacing I’m pretty sure you’re going to have to get new carpets,” Jinyoung interrupted his internal monologue.

Jaebum stopped immediately, eyes staring holes into the door to his apartment.

“Alright,” he said with determination, “I’m doing it. I’m gonna do it. I’m going now.”

“...Then why are you still standing there?” Jinyoung asked after a minute of silence.

Instead of replying, Jaebum gave an agaanized shout and ran out of his apartment leaving a very disgruntled and startled Jinyoung behind.

Baby, I'm dancing in the dark

With you between my arms

Barefoot on the grass

Listening to our favourite song

When I saw you in that dress

Looking so beautiful

I don't deserve this

Darling, you look perfect tonight

Youngjae’s laugh was like medicine to an ailing heart. Jaebum wondered how he managed to survive all the highs he got from just being with Youngjae. He knew he’d crash hard if he couldn’t be Youngjae. It was that particular insight that gave Jaebum the final push of courage he needed.

“Youngjae-ah,” Jaebum cut off that beautiful laughter and held the younger’s hand.

It was night already, having spent the whole day bouncing around the city. They found themselves walking by the river under the yellowed lights of street lamps and the bluish hues of the darkened sky. When Jaebum looked into Youngjae’ eyes all he could see were the stars reflecting in them.

“Youngjae-ah, I wanted to ask you something,” Jaebum spoke tenderly and grabbed Youngjae’s other hand as well, “I-I know we both have been sort-of dancing around this all semester, and at first, well I didn’t mind so much but now...now I’m kind of scared-but in a good way. As selfish as it sounds, I don’t want anyone to take you away from me-not that you’re an object-just-there’s nothing really cementing us together you know, I-”

“Hyung,”Youngjae interrupted with a laugh much brighter than the stars, “Will you be my boyfriend?”

Jaebum’s eyes went as wide as the moon, “That’s supposed to be y line!”

“You were taking too long!” Youngjae complained with a cute whine, “Your confession was nice and all but answer the dang uestion hyung!”

“OF course I’ll be your boyfriend! Will you be mine?”Jaebum laughed and squeezed Youngjae’s hands.

“That’s how these things work, but if you need to hear those words then, yes I’ll be your boyfriend.” Youngjae smiled.

Baby, I'm dancing in the dark

With you between my arms

Barefoot on the grass

Listening to our favourite song

Jaebum took the shared earbuds from their ears and placed them onto the picnic blanket beneath them, suddenly turning to Youngjae with a serious expression.

“Ok, but I get to initiate our first kiss because you interrupted my confession.” Jaebum frowned down at Youngjae who was still lying on the blanket with a pout on his face.

“Ok, hyung, whatever you want,” Youngjae signed and held a hand up to block the sun from his eyes.

“What if I want it now?”

I have faith in what I see

Now I know I have met an angel in person

And he looks perfect

I don't deserve this

You look perfect

“Jae-ah, do you remember the plan?” Jaebum asked in a hushed whisper as he hid by the door to his bedroom.

“Yep, go in and wake up Appa with a biiiiiiig hug!”

Jaebum looked down and chuckled, ‘Ok, now be careful and trip.”

Jaebum quietly opened his door and let the seven year old into the room. He stayed behind and snickered as he eard his son shout and jump on Youngjae in the the bed. There was a confused yelp that turned into laughter and a fond “Sungjae-ah!” Jaebum entered the room with a smile and walked up to the bed, scooping the boy up in his arms before falling next to his husband.

“Good morning angel,” Jaebum greeted Youngjae with a kiss.
