From a cloud high above Dreamland two people watched the scene frozen below them and shook their heads.

"It seems it is time to go down and bring that story up here with us. The author has forgotten it", one of them said with a sad smile. They were the keepers of the Land Of Forgotten Tales, the place where abandoned stories came when their writers forgot about them or forgot how they were supposed to go

"Oh please, let's leave it down there a little bit longer. I'm dying to know what happenes with Ali and the King of Hearts. Plus that caterpillar is so handsome, even with all those icky legs", the other one said. Her girlish vice was breathy and the other, a boy, looked at her with raised eyebrows.

"But its our job to give forgotten stories a home. We can't just change the rules whenever we like", he said seriously. She let out a sigh and looked at him with shiny eyes.

"Just a little bit longer, please. I just know the writer will come back. Sometimes the greatest stories take awhile to be finished." She looked down at the characters frozen in mid-action and then back at her partner. He sighed and nodded.

"Okay, but just a little longer. If our boss finds out we didn't do our job, we will be canned for sure", he said and they left the edge of the cloud and went to check on another story by different author. It was a hilarious tale based on Greek Mythology and it's writer too had been stuck for sometime. With all hope, both stories would be finished and they wouldn't have to collect them and send them to the Home for Forgotten Tales.
