「 group evaluation round 」MUST READ WHOLE CHAPTER!!
AFF PRODUCE 202 (Vote for the FINAL round now!)
Hello! We haven't made an update in a while, but we're still here!
First, thank you to everyone for voting for the songs you guys wanted to do in the Group Evaluation round! We got the last contestant's vote yesterday, so the form is now closed and we will be revealing the groups for each song! The trainee videos remaining will be released for more filler time in between now and when this group evaluation round's results are released (sorry but we're all very busy now because school has started for most of us). Since I didn't want to drag out starting the next round for so long, here's the information for the next round!
PROCEDURES:
Each song will have two groups. We decided that since the song that was the most popular vote was an overwhelming number compared to the other two, we decided that there would be more people to add for the groups under that song. And, since there are now 33 contestants after one person had dropped out after the rank re-evaluation results, the groups are split as follows:
BTS: Group 1 = 7 people | Group 2 = 6 people
Big Bang: Group 1 = 5 people | Group 2 = 5 people
NCT Dream: Group 1 = 5 people | Group 2 = 5 people
After we give out the set groups, please remember that we tried going with your preferences (but there were so many people that wanted BTS that we had to move a lot of people around haha).
When each group is able to see the lyric distributions, you'll notice that each part is color coded with a specific position: Main Vocal, Subvocal, and Rapper. In every song, there will be only one Main Vocal, two Rappers, and at least two Subvocals for each group (unless you're in one of the BTS groups with three/four subvocals). You will all decide which position everyone will have. One person may only have one part.
In addition, we will be randomly choosing a leader for each group (using a name randomizer haha). The leader will be in charge of making sure everyone sends in their parts on time and making sure to turn in their team's entry on time also, meaning that they'll have to send the final product to the produce202 account. Also, in case there are multiple people who want one certain position in the group, the leader will have the final say over who gets it over the other.
After giving the set deadline, we'll allow a grace period (maximum of 2 days) just in case a contestant(s) is failing to communicate actively in the group and never sends in their parts/officially bails from the contest last minute. If this happens to any of the groups, we'll grant a grace period so that they may replace their missing member's parts. After the grace period is done and nothing is turned in by then, sorry but you'll all be out.
VOTING+JUDGES GRADING:
This will be different from AFF PRODUCE 101 Season 1 because we will not include streaming. Instead it will be split by 50% public voting and 50% judges grades.
For public voting, you may vote once a day. For this round, you vote for the groups that did better in each song, and then choose your top 7 contestants. Each time you vote will equate to one vote for group voting and two votes for Top 7 voting.
For judges grades, the overall grade you get from us will equate to a number that will be added to the votes you got from the public:
A = 90
B = 80
C = 70
D = 60
F = 50
Keep in mind: the grades that the judges give might not be the rank you get in the end. Which is why you guys should vote!
So you may be wondering, what does these songs have in common with each other?
These songs are actually the songs that got these groups their first win on music shows! First wins for groups are so important because it's what makes the group show that they're recognized. From NCT Dream, the rookie group who's on the rise, BTS, the rising trend group, and Big Bang, the top boy group after more than 10 years, we thought this would be a fun song theme, and we hope you guys will enjoy it also!
