Sunggyu chuckled when he looked at the younger. He was standing awkwardly in front of him with his fingers holding tightly on his cellphone. He changed into his new uniform that Myungsoo prepared for the omega from before and was standing by the door of the apartment.

“Today I will drop you off at your class,” Sunggyu said, ushering the younger to move ahead of him and leave the apartment as he followed him and closed the door behind him, “but starting tomorrow I wont be able to since I will go back to the company, so Myungsoo will be picking you up and dropping you off.”

Woohyun nodded as they soon enough were waiting for the elevator to reach their floor. It felt weird going to school with a uniform. In his hometown, students would usually attend school with whatever clothes they had at home, nothing special. Their classes were simple rooms with tables, chairs and chalkboard. But here, everything already felt fancier by the uniform itself. He wondered how the school building would look like. He wasn’t sure how was he expected to act and knowing his name was now associated with Kim Sunggyu, he knew it would be harder for him to simply befriend anyone.

His trace of thoughts was cut when he was pushed inside the elevator after a soft ding. He shook his head lightly. Eyes trailing Sunggyu’s hand that went to press the parking lot button. The elevator stopped after couple of floors as another person joined them. He was a boy who seemed to be in the late twenties. Woohyun couldn’t help but notice his firm muscles because of the tight clothes he was wearing, and happening to be behind him, his bottom was cladded by his trouser. He blushed as he dropped his gaze down to the floor.

A muffled squeak left his lips when he felt a hand squeezed his . The elder had his hand groping his as he leaned to whisper by his ear, “it’s rude to stare at someone’s else bottom.” Another squeeze made him bite his lower lip.

The hand didn’t leave his bottom even when the door to the parking lot opened. The elder kept his hand resting there until they reached the black Porsche. The elder went around to the driver door as the younger opened the passenger door and slipped inside the car.

Something about the school from the outside made Woohyun’s heart drop to his stomach. Although there were students who were entering the school by themselves, a lot were being dropped by all types of cars right in front of the school main doors than the school gate. Sunggyu drove past the gate and only stopped by the main door. The elder took out his phone as he left the car and Woohyun followed him. His steps were a bit slower than the elder so he was ahead of him but Sunggyu did not notice it yet.

“Oh Myung,” he grinned as he greeted the boy, phone placed between his shoulder and ear as his hands fumbled his wallet before he took out a black card, “yeah we reached, which classroom was it again? I forgot the way.”

The omega on the line probably made a joke about something because Woohyun heard the alpha chuckle a light laugh before answering, “well, it has been ages. Anyway, we will be there soon, okay?” he brought the phone down as he ended the call. He stopped in his tracks and Woohyun’s shoulder slammed against his forearm, stopping him immediately.

Both of them stared at each other silently for a moment before Sunggyu’s eyes twitched. He looked down at his hand and noticed the card. The alpha brought it higher in front of Woohyun’s face and said, “this card is for you. You will need it.”

Woohyun’s eyebrows furrowed before he gently shook his head, looking away, “I- I can’t have it.”

Sunggyu raised an eyebrow at the younger, “why can’t you have it?” still, he slipped the card into the younger’s back pocket and gave his a light squeeze. The omega couldn’t help the slight jump and squeak. “When I say you will keep it, you keep it. And how will you pay for your food? What if you needed to get water or something?”

Slipping his hand out of Woohyun’s back pocket, he crawled his hand to his shoulder and brought him to walk right beside him. “We need to get going before you are late for your first class.”

Woohyun nodded as he felt himself blush under everyone’s gaze. He looked up at Sunggyu when he started talking again, “You will need some stuff for school, so after you are done with your first day, you will leave along with Myungsoo and Sungjong. I asked them to accompany you. Go get what you will need for school.” Woohyun wasn’t sure how will he remember the way to his classroom, because everything seems exactly the same. But soon enough, he saw Myungsoo standing in front of a classroom door. He waved back to the younger when he spotted them, grinning.

Sunggyu looked around and chuckled, “been so long since I stood in this corridor.” He looked at his phone and sighed, “I need to go, but like I said Myung, Woohyun will leave along with you guys.” He smiled; patting the youngest’s head before turning to leave. He stopped before turning around again. He stood in front of Woohyun and whispered, “I will text you the card password. Whatever you need, buy it. Don’t worry, okay?”

The omega turned bright red and nodded his head. His master walked away from them before he was pulled inside the classroom by the other omega.

Woohyun saw all the differences between their world and this one. They were different, so different. Everyone was wearing a high brand clothes. Their images dripped with money. He couldn’t help but question how much did they own that they had no problem spending it on smallest matters.

The first day went smoothly. He simply followed Myungsoo around. He allowed him to drag him anywhere he wanted, as he showed him around the school campus and reminded him where the bathrooms were in case he needed.

Although the main subjects that were taught were the same ones he had in his previous school, they were taught differently here. Slowly, it hit him how much he missed his previous life.

When they left the school, Myungsoo took him to a stationary shop. He couldn’t concentrate on what the younger told him to buy; his mind was still going back to his older days, to his mom. He kept seeing his mom between at the end of the aisle. He kept nodding to whatever the other would say and go along. He did not trust his voice at that moment. He wanted to go back to the apartment and curl under the blanket. The sudden realization was started to fill him and he wanted to desperately be left alone. He needed to let his tears out before he broke down in front of anyone.

His prayers were soon heard as he was dragged outside the store with Myungsoo nagging at him for stay too quiet. But he did not have the energy to say anything back; he spent all he had on holding back his tears and sobs. He ignored the other till they were right outside the apartment. His trembling fingers pressed the buttons and heard the click of the door opening. He didn’t wait as he threw the bags right beside the door and moved quickly upstairs to the bedroom.

He stood right at the top of the stairs taking in the view of the bedroom. He was no longer in his own house. He was aware of it, but suddenly hitting him again after two weeks was breaking him so bad. His vision blurred while he took slow steps to the bed and sat on the edge. He swallowed a breath as a sob left right after. When his tears started rolling down his cheeks, he laid on top of the duvet, curled into a ball. Mom. She wasn’t there. And no matter how many times did he call her, she wouldn’t answer. She wouldn’t come and ask him if everything was okay.

The burning in his chest made it hard to breathe as his sobs turned into cries. His hands clutched the cover, pressing harder as he tried to bite hard on his lips. He felt so empty not having his mother beside him. What was he now? A slave? A butler? A younger brother? An adopted boy? An entertainer for the alpha?

He wasn’t sure what he was. Was Sunggyu is expecting something in return from him? For sure, he wouldn’t be spending all these thousands of dollars on him just like that. He was bathing him in money. He was granting him all he needed and wanted.

All the sad thoughts and emotions exhausted the omega who soon fell asleep, still curled on top of the bed.

Sunggyu sighed as he pushed the door of his apartment open. He didn’t pay attention to what was in front of him as felt himself step on something. Looking down, he saw plastic bags placed right in front of the door. He furrowed his eyebrows. It wasn’t Woohyun’s habit to leave things scattered around. He was neat and organized.

The alpha bent down and grabbed the bags before closing the door with his foot. Stepping inside, he called for the younger softly, but no one answered back. He placed the bags on top of the coffee table and moved up the stairs to the bedroom. He would call Woohyun after taking a shower and see where he was.

But when the bed came to his view, he noticed the curled body of the younger. He called again, but still he didn’t answer. So he moved to the other side of the bed to see the younger’s face.

He felt a pang in his heart when he saw the red face of the younger. He had tear trails dried on his cheeks. His face looked tired and he probably fell asleep from exhaustion. Sunggyu placed his palm on the younger neck. It wasn’t a fever, but his body was warmer than usual. He sighed as he went down on his knees in front of Woohyun, hand slowly shaking his shoulder.

The omega whimpered, eyes slowly opening. When his vision cleared he saw the elder kneeling in front of him. Pushing his body to properly sit, he tried to say something but all that came out was a hoarse whimpers. He blushed deeply when he couldn’t utter an answer back.

“Are you okay?” Sunggyu whispered, hand moving to settle on Woohyun’s knee. Seeing the younger simply nodding not being able to say a word he took the bottle of water on top of the bedside table and uncapped it for the younger.

Woohyun swallowed a big gulp of water before lowering the bottle of water again.

Sunggyu moved to sit beside the younger, placing the bottle away. Resting one hand on his cheek, he turned the younger to look at him before asking, “Did something happen in school?”

Woohyun stared back at the alpha, not being able to say anything to answer him. He wasn’t sure what was he supposed to say. He shook his head.

Sunggyu lowered his hand to rest on the younger’s nape his eyes still locking with the other’s. “Then why did you cry?” he ran his finger on top of his skin.

Woohyun curled his lower lip inward biting it softly. The feel of the fingers on his nape was bringing him closer to tears. His eyes wavered. He wasn’t sure if it was okay for him to tell Sunggyu what was running through his head. What if the alpha did not like it? What if he expected him to not to mention his mother? But Sunggyu was a nice person; he would never say that to him. He took a breath before whispering, “mom”.

The alpha saw the change in the eyes when Woohyun said that word. He never asked Woohyun about his previous life. If he had parents or siblings. He realized he had no idea about the other’s life beside the new one he was building for him. Unconsciously, he pulled the head of the younger against his chest, his other arm going around his waist. “You miss your mom?”

Feeling the younger nodding, he squeezed his waist a bit. “I’m sorry,” he sighed.

When he was embraced, Woohyun felt his eyes brim with tears. His arms rested against the elder’s torso scooting closer. He inhaled the strong scent of wood and cinnamon before looking up. “Sungg-yu shi?”

“Call me hyung,” the alpha smiled. Fingers twirling with the dark locks of the omega.

“H-hyung,” Woohyun blushed. Somehow, it felt that they were closer by simply calling him with that.
