I was walking on the beach
It was no ordinary beach though...
There were only shades of black, grays, and white painting the monochrome scene around me
Even the sand that I had been making lines in with my feet to record where I have been was a warm gray
I don't understand why
I couldn't even recall where I was walking away from
Perhaps some place important,
Considering I was making sure I knew where I was coming from
But I stopped my journey when I saw a figure
He had milky yet healthy skin
His hair was a dark, chocolate brown, almost black
His eyes were dark brown as well, except they looked more youthful, contradicting his outfit
He wore a blue and white striped shirt with a long white cardigan over it
His cerulean jeans were rolled above his ankles and he wore no shoes like I was
This was strange to me considering that everything else was black and white
Perhaps he was an angel of the sea
Because behind him were no footprints, no proof that he was even walking at all
Almost like he just appeared where he stood
Looking at me with tired yet youthful eyes,
He stood many feet away from me when I stopped in my tracks
