Starry Night: Tzuyu Perspective
Starry NightI waited for Chaeyoung patiently and nervously, in front of the movie theater. I never thought I would be on a date with Chaeyoung. Well to be fair we never really agree that it was a date, and we aren't really dating yet, but I like to think of this as a date. After all, it is just the two of us. It didn't take long for Chaeyoung to show up. I saw her running up to me and I saw the wind blow through her hair as she ran up tirelessly to reach me. With each step she ran I could see her little backpack bounce off her back. It was cute, too cute, but I tried to hide my smile. I didn't want to show her how easily excited she makes me.
"Sorry I'm late! Were you waiting here for a long time?" She said exhausted.
"Oh no it's fine, I've probably only been waiting for five minutes."
"Oh that's good, the bus was late and there was a lot of traffic. I thought I was gonna be super late and I didn’t want you to be waiting for me for too long. Hey? What are you smiling about?”
Ahh she caught me.
“Nothing, the way you were running up here was just really cute. You’re really cute.”
I saw her face turn bright red as she looked away. She really was the cutest thing.
“Shut up, no I’m not. You’re the cute one here.”
My heart fluttered a little. I think that was the first time someone called me cute, that wasn’t my mom or some other relative.
“Ahem, well let’s go buy our tickets now?”
“Yeah of course, I’ve caught my breath now, we can go in.”
I saved enough of my allowance to make sure I could pay for the two of us. I couldn’t buy the snacks I usually wanted to buy, but it was worth it.
“Don’t worry about your ticket, I got it.”
“What? No way! I’ll pay for my own ticket its fine, really!”
“Don’t worry! I got this! You don’t have to worry about anything.”
It felt pretty good being able to take care of Chaeyoung. I wanted to make sure that she didn’t have to do much except have fun. After we paid for the tickets we went and took a look at the concession stand. Wow! These snacks were crazy expensive! I wasn’t sure if I could afford it.
“Pssst Tzuyu.”
I turn to Chayoung who points to inside her little backpack. Chips, candy, even two large sodas fit inside that thing. I couldn’t believe she managed to fit all that into her little backpack. She looks at me with a huge smile on her face, and looks around to make sure no one is watching and steals her goods.
“I knew food was going to be way too expensive in the theater, so I took matters into my own hands haha.”
“Wow Chaeyoung, I never thought you would do something like this, I’m glad you did though! Haha.”
We enter into our theater and there aren’t too many people inside, which was perfect.
We sat down in our seats and the movie was about to begin. I turn to Chaeyoung and she has a sneaky look on her face. She opens her backpack and passes me a soda. She then o
