No one really knows how or why it happens. It just does. Started a few years ago. People just started dying. Doctors and scientists, with all their fancy equipment, ran test after test, finding nothing. Still, one thing was for sure. Once you see the band of blackened skin around your wrist, you’re guaranteed three days, and a week at most. A few names for it circulated around but people mostly just called it “the curse.”

And just a few hours ago, I found out that I had been cursed.
