he pulled the folded piece of paper out of his pocket and gestured to it with his eyes as he held it out for me to see. "did you write this for me?" he asked, still no evidence on his face on whether he liked me or not.

i nodded.

before i could even speak, an amused smile broke out onto his face that soon turned into a laugh.

"where do you get off thinking we could be together?" he asked.

my entire world shattered in an instant.

i couldn't dare look at him.

though it should have been he who had to keep his head lowered after the terrible things he said to me.
