Dawon’s POV

Y/N and I have been friends since school days. Tomorrow is her birthday so I planned to confess about my feelings towards her that I’ve been keeping years in my heart.

“Y/N are you busy tomorrow?”

“I’m not available for dinner for sure because I’m going to have dinner with my parents. Other than that I’m free. Can I know why?”

“Nothing I just want to celebrate my best friend’s birthday that’s it,”

“Aww that’s nice of you. You remembered my birthday I’m so touched. If that’s the case come join me for dinner tomorrow with my parents. They’ve been complaining because they haven’t seen for such a long time,”

“Sure no problem and maybe after dinner can we go for a ride around the city?”

“Okay that’s nice,” she said

“See you tomorrow,”

Next Day, Dinner Time

“How are you Mr. L/N and Mrs. L/N? “ I said

“Aigoo, Dawon it’s okay to just call us uncle and auntie okay?” her mother stated

“We are doing great Dawon. Where have you been all these while?” her father asked me

“A bit busy with work,” I said, smiling

“Finally our princess have arrived,” her father said

Time skip, after dinner

“Take care of my daughter okay Dawon? I believe you okay and don’t be late,” her mother

“I will auntie and don’t worry I’ll send her back safely,” I said assuring her.

Both of us get into the car and start catching up about our lives. When we were almost reaching her house I stopped at the playground we’ve used to play.

“Do you remember this place?” I said

“Of course. This is the first place we met when we were in school. We played a lot here,” she smiled, maybe remembering those golden days

“Actually I have something to tell you. Something that I’ve been keeping these years,” I said

“What is it? It is not something bad right?” she said

“I like you. Oh wait no, I love you, Y/N. very much,” finally I managed to say those words to her

“I… I… l…love you too,” she said stuttering maybe she’s shy

“Oh really I didn’t know you have feelings for me Y/N?”

“I do since I started to miss your presence ever since you are busy with your work. Then I realized that I have fallen in love with you,”

“So, would like to be my girlfriend?” I brought out the couple ring I’ve prepared

“Yes, I would love too,” she said and I hugged her
