Foreword

You have liked him for the longest time you could remember, you let him become the storm inside your clarity with only his smile. You knew you were spending too much time on him, on someone who didn't even care about your existence. He was your favorite kind of drug, the one that rush inside your veins and filled it with sudden happiness and you don't want it to stop.

Your best friend knew about it and hated him because of that. But neither of you would have guessed that the tables would turn after you successfully forced yourself to get over him. 

But even then, at some nights you wished you could erase, you would still chant his name under your breath like somehow it was your kind of oxygen. Kim Jongin. 

(A/N) Hi, this is charoines, again, and I'm back and not with Chanyeol's story because this is for vanillasushi's writing contest:

I'm really excited, because honestly I never write about Jongin as main character even once, but since vanillasushi is one of the best authors I've ever read in my life, and I really adore her works so much (and honestly they are the one that got me into liking exo), so I decided that I should give it a shot.

It will probably be different than what I usually write, but I hope you guys and vanillasushi-nim will enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing it. And for you guys who wanted to join, please do! because I think it's a really good opportunity to express yourself and just try to write :) anyway, see you at the one-shot!

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: What a beautiful oneshot this is! The angst was palpable but I can’t feel it 100% because Chanyeol’s pretty little head sprouts at a very random interval lol. It’s like he cuts off the immersion with his cynical advices hahahah. And as a person who’s addicted to the real Kim Jongin, Park Chanyeol is like the bitter medicine after the high fever whatever you call it. I like how my reality check is Mr. Park Chanyeol handsome. Lol. All in all, gosh… I’ve been looking for good Kai fics in AFF since I recently sifted and read most on Tumblr. I’m so glad I chanced upon this! And you mentioned vanillasushi, she’s amazing! And somehow, I already expected that this fic will be amazing already😭😂🥰

Chapter 1: Even though i hate Jongin for backing out and i hate her for hoping too much when she know that she shouldn't, i still read 'till the end. I love they didn't date back in high school but after they matured and ready to be deep in love. It's a great message for us not to play with love. Thank you, good job!

Chapter 1: Who wouldn't want a best friend like Chanyeol in this one? Falling for Jongin is also understandable and I loved that it wasn't an easy road so that they didn't kiss and date back then in high school but only years later when both of them were more mature and ready to love. Great story, thumbs up! ^^

Chapter 1: The last part got me cringing so hard, like, wow jongin you just come back after 5 years missing and you give me another heart attack?!? All of the cheesy lines should be illegal ><
Chanyeol was so confusing tho, i thought that maybe he likes the oc, and they will somehow get into a relationship but i guess i was wrong. It's good story tho :)

Chapter 1: Chanyeol was so confusing here omg.... I would have been so wtf???? at him if I were her lol. And honestly, I was hoping for thing fic to suddenly turn into a Chanyeol one because wow jongin what a dickhead!!!!! But ok.. at least he's back (AFTER FIVE YEARS) and is trying to make things right...

Anyway! Onto the critiquing! I'm just assuming that you're not a native speaker of English, but your story was — for the most part — coherent and understandable! Your grammar is actually pretty good for a non-native speaker but there are just a few mistakes like "he would complained" should have been "he would complain"... Sometimes the mistakes made it hard to read and understand but once I pushed past that I understood everything! There was good use of vocab also, you didn't repeat many words (like how I do OTL). And I love how meaningful this is! I like that there was something to take home from this. It's very deep and i think it will teach people to see life in a different way.

Thank you for joining Blossom Roads and taking your time just to write this one shot! I appreciate the effort and I just hope that as much as you wanted to join this contest, you also learnt new things and feel more motivated in terms of writing. Please keep writing because it will always be nice to see authors improving!

Chapter 1: just finished reading. im breathless. ITS SOOOO GOOD WHERE HAVE U BEEN WHY DID I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT U AUTHORNIM?! /cries/ i feel the fluff just creepin in and out my body lol. and i like its not the cliche where the oc falls with her bestfriend. like its soooo realistic. sometimes best friend is the line. anyways, great story authornim!!<3<3

It's beautiful. I almost teared up in the beginning because it reminded me of my first love/crush story. Haha. I used to 'stalk' him with my friends. My day will only be perfect if I can caught a glimpse of him at school. All the butterflies flying, stealing glances, adoring his smile.. GAH! I miss that moment! My youth! LOLOL
This one-shot is superb. Jongin.. Kim Jongin is really what you described. He's just perfect XD I myself would have a trouble time to move on from Kim Jongin. That guy is haunted, you know. Even he is not like my ultimate bias but I admit he is ing perfect. I like how detailed you described the MC's feelings. It's like it's really me who is the MC, hence the 'you' POV. Haha.
Hopefully you make more of one-shots like this. I didn't mind even if it's long. Please leave a wall post if you ever make another EXO one-shot [preferably Jongin/Chanyeol/Sehun or Baekhyun as the main]
