Maura lives in a tiny village on the coast of a tiny province. The population of her town is 50 give or take and there's only one other person near her age (her older cousin, Blake). She can't wait to leave the tiny place where nothing ever happens, until something finally does happen.

Maura is a die-hard ARMY, she's watched every video and listened to every song but when the group announces a hiatus she's heartbroken. She had even learned Korean to prepare for her trip to Korea in hopes of meeting the famous group and wowing them with her skills, so much for that.

But one sunny day she sees the silhouette of seven young men standing on the slippery black rocks of the cove. And to her horror, the ocean takes one of them into its clutches.

Instinctively, she saves the young man, giving away her biggest, darkest secret. She's a mermaid.

The man she saves isn't any ordinary man though. He's Jungkook from the world famous group BTS.
