Halloween Birthday: Part 1 - Halloween

“Look Fany!” Taeyeon says while applying flesh blood colored strawberry flavored liquid on the brain like icing decorations on top of the cupcakes she baked for Halloween.

Tiffany walks closer to the counter top only to grimaced at the sight, the cupcakes’ designs really looked like newly extracted brains. “Ugh Taeyeon, how can you eat those? How can I eat that?”

Taeyeon grins while proudly looking at her creations before looking up at her best friend. “Those are just sweets, Fany. But looking at your expressions, I guess I did a great job at decorating. Looks real?”

“Yes.”

“You’ll eat them right?” Looking at her with her puppy eyes with a pout look. “It’s only for Halloween, please?”

Tiffany sighs, like she could say no. “If only you’re not my best friend. Yes I will.”

“Yes!”

Tiffany could only shake her head while smiling at her best friend who’s now cleaning the counter top. “Fany, can you get them inside the fridge for me?”

“Yes ma’am.”

Taeyeon finished the dishes and Tiffany placed all the small trays of cupcakes inside the fridge when the latter’s phone rings. Tiffany almost skipped over the dogs just to take her phone earning a laugh from her best friend.

“Someone is so excited!”

“Hush.” She said with her index finger on her lips before answering the call.

“Hello?”

“Hey!”

“Hey, Fany where are you?”

“House, why?” she’s still smiling with her eyes fixated at her best friend who’s now looking at her with full amusement and a smirk. It’s been a while since the last time she’d seen that side of her best friend which basically thrown out into the blue after that heart break she’d encountered last year.

“Oh, nice. Can you open the door for a while?”

Her best friend must’ve seen the change of expression as she mouths ‘What’s wrong?’ to her but she answers it with a follow-me gesture while she skips over the dogs towards the door. “You’re here?” she said before opening the door.

Her breathing hitches at the sight of the man she hadn’t seen for weeks due to the tight schedules he had overseas with the rest of the group’s members. She’s sure she’d seen him wearing a long coat with a plane white shirt, a black pants and a black shoes before but that didn’t matter as she stares at him like a college girl staring at her crush, complete with a slowly creeping hotness on her cheeks.

He ends the call and pockets his phone without removing his eyes from his girlfriend he’d been missing for the past weeks. “Yes I am here. Hi.”

It took Tiffany a few seconds before he grabs him inside nearly toppling the man, closes the door before she hugs him by neck. She stays quiet, just hugging him real tight with face snuggling straight onto the crook of his neck.

Seunghyun on the other hand understands the gesture, he too misses the woman, it’s the longest time they’ve been away from each other since they got together 8 months ago. Arms circling around her torso so he could hug her tightly while giving her left temple a short peck.

“I miss you too.” He said earning a tighter hug from the woman.

Taeyeon which is at the other side of the house saw it, with a smile painted across her lips, she decides to give her best friend and her boyfriend some privacy as she retreats back to her bedroom while calling the barking and whimpering dogs with her.
