However, she doesn't feel as good as she looks -she has what a lot of people don't realize can be a chronic, invisible illness; Lyme disease.

Ji-yong, you know who he is and he is who he is in this story too, but obviously taking some liberty to his thoughts on things.

What happens when these two get an opportunity to meet?

Foreword

Life,

Is reality what we see at first glance?

No.

Pain,

How can we bear it?

By relying on God.

Hope,

How much do we need to go on?

It depends on the day.

Every day I wake up exhausted and in varying amounts of pain. This pain isn't helped much by any over the counter pain relievers and makes it hard to function. The exhaustion has made me change how active I can be and give up some of my hobbies. Life is definitely a struggle, but this has been given to me for a reason.

A few years ago I was diagnosed with lyme disease, and this isn't just the lyme disease you hear about from the media that will "go away". I'm one of many people that is chronically affected by lyme disease. The doctors have tried a lot of different things, but nothing seems to make my symptoms improve or go away for long. It just keeps on coming back and worse.

The outside shell of me is always smiling, but inside I feel like I'm wasting away. The only way I can truly bear the bad days is because of God and the support of my friends and family. Some days I wish I could disappear like sea foam like the little mermaid in fairy tales. This side of me I don't really tell anyone about, even my closest friends.

My best friends are wonderful -Krystal is understanding and patient unlike me who can be a bit impatient. Sara is lively and opinionated unlike me who is more soft spoken. Both adore K-pop and K-dramas like me, but not to the same extent -I'm the Korean-crazy girl in our circle of friends.

However, they are the reason why I got a chance to meet Jiyong.

Chapter 5: I wonder what happens next. I wonder why he avoids talking about God, but I'm glad she didn't force him to talk. Sometimes it's not easy but one day I'm sure he will tell her.
