2 weeks later…

“Seulgi! Seulgi!” Seulgi turns around as she hears someone been calling her name. Soon she sees a figure emerging from the thick crowd in the corridor, it is her friend, Park Sooyoung. “Seulgi, wait up,” she pants as she stops in front of her. Sooyoung bends her body and rests her hands on her knees.

“What is it Sooyoung?” she asks the girl, amused.

Her friend straightens up, still panting and says, “Did you get my text?”

Seulgi frowns, confused. “What text?”

Sooyoung rolls her eyes, “That blind date text?”

Seulgi’s lips turn to the shape of an O. “Don’t tell me you’re not going?” Sooyoung asks, exasperates. She then stomps her feet. “Ahh, Seulgi, please come with me~” she whines like a little girl. “Please, please, please.” She makes cute expressions now while grabbing her hand, swaying it.

It’s not like she doesn’t want to go, but somehow she feels like… someone wouldn’t like it…? She thinks of Taemin. Not that they have any special relationship or anything but he keeps on telling her that she’s not to go anywhere without him. And surely Taemin wouldn’t want to be in some blind date.
“Please… please… I’ve promised the guys you’re going. One of them seems to be really interested in you! He said you’re really beautiful and such,” Sooyoung begs. Really, Seulgi should feel angry at the girl because she’s showing everyone her pictures. She makes a mental note not to take pictures with the girl anymore.

Seulgi sighs, “Okay… I’ll go but I have to go home before 8.”

“Yeay! It’s okay. We’re going after my class ends, okay? You wait me at the garden, okay?” Seulgi nods her head lazily and dismisses the girl.

‘You, what?!’ Seulgi bites her bottom lips when she reads the text from Taemin.
‘Why didn’t you tell me earlier?!’ ‘DID YOU KNOW IVE BEEN STANDING LIKE AN IDIOT IN FRONT OF YOUR COLLEGE?!!!’ ‘I TOLD YOU TO WAIT FOR ME!’ ‘WHO ARE THE GUYS YOURE SEEING ANYWAY?’ ‘TELL ME YOUR LOCATION NOW!’ are his angry messages for her coming in her chatroom non-stop. She reads them silently with her phone under the table.

‘I’m sorry! Pls don’t be mad! I just remembered!’ she replies back.

“Miss Seulgi?” the woman looks up. “Are you all right? You look… nervous… and scared?” the man who’s supposed to be her blind date says. He’s okay. A good-looking man that would swoon any women in their college but she isn’t interested. She’s more worried about Taemin’s nagging later. And Gwiboon’s… and Minho’s. She shuts her eyes at the painful talk. She should leave. Yes she should.

She stands up but Sooyoung grabs her hand. “Where are you going?” she asks.

“I’ve to go home now. I’m sorry.”

“Aww, it’s not even 7 yet! Chill, I’m sure your foster sister wouldn’t mind you’re having the time of your college life,” Sooyoung’s date says. And Seulgi’s date agrees.

Sighing heavily, she sits back. And pretend to enjoy the date when she’s actually not.

Taemin curses under his breath. He keeps sending messages but Seulgi doesn’t read any of them. She doesn’t even reply his question about her location. “Ugh!” he kicks the long sofa which sends it flying across the room.

“LEE TAEMIN, IF YOU DARE DESTROYING MY HOUSE I SWEAR TO GOD YOU’LL REGRET IT!” Gwiboon yells from the kitchen.

“I’m sorry,” he yells back and goes to pick the sofa and places it back on its previous state. He slumps down the sofa, staring hard at his phone. Minho then emerges from downstairs. He looks down at Taemin with his left eyebrow raised. “She’s not calling me!” the younger sits up. This is not the time to lie around. He paces around the room like a mad man. “It’s 9 PM now, where is she?!”

“Taemin, calm down-”

“How can I calm down when her life is mostly in danger?! Everyone is hunting her now! She’s too exposed, her scent is very strong! They’ll get her before I even get there wherever she is to save her neck!” with that one he storms out the building and to the streets. He unlocks his phone and goes to track her down with GPS. It’s the only way.

“Come on, I’ll send you home,” the guy – Jisook – keeps on offering to send her home. But she insists on calling Taemin but then Sooyoung butts in, “Seulgi, it’s really late now. you should let him send you home! Besides, if you wait here for your friend, who knows at what time he’ll come.”

Seulgi sighs exasperatedly. “Fine, where’s your car.” Jisook smiles from ear to ear.

He opens the door for her and she gets in. It’s pretty much a nice car for a student like him. But she doesn’t care, she need to go home as fast as she could. He gets in then and starts the engine right away. “So, where do you live?” he asks. She tells him the address and he puts it on the GPS on the dashboard. “At a vet clinic, huh?” She shrugs.

He starts driving then, leaving the café they hang out at.

Taemin stops dead in his track. The dot that is supposed to be Seulgi is moving fast, away from him. He speeds up his legs and soon he reaches the café that her last place. He looks around, as if she would appear right away, surprising him. He then asks the workers in the café if they see her. One of them says she and her friends left a while ago. The woman says she saw her riding a car with her date. Taemin thank her and leaves the café. He curses under his breath. He doesn’t feel right. He feels like she’s in danger. He closes his eyes and tries to take in her scent, but it is as though she disappears. He can’t smell her. He starts to run, following the dot on his phone.

“Oh, here,” Jisook hands her a bottle of pink coloured water. “Sooyoung asked me to give it to you. It’s the vitamin water you ordered from her?”

Seulgi stares at the bottle suspiciously. She doesn’t remember ordering it from Sooyoung. But then she shrugs, she always has difficulties at remembering stuff sometimes. She takes it, turns the cap and drinks it right away. Sooyoung sells the best vitamin water, to be honest.

“Is it nice?” Jisook asks.

“You never tasted it? Isn’t it like famous drink now?” she asks after she takes another sip.

“Nah, never. Isn’t it like expensive?”

“Sure, but it’s healthy. You want some?” she offers the half-empty bottle to him but he declines it saying he doesn’t want to be addicted. She rolls her eyes. She closes the cap and goes back staring outside the window. Buildings after building have passed.

He stops again, panting hard. His eyes turn twice than their normal sizes. The dot is gone. She’s turned off her phone. He becomes panic. All of the nasty imaginations come to his mind. Did they get her already? Is she with them?

He decides that he has to turn to work his smelling ability. He can’t smell her scent well when he’s in a human form. He’s half glad he’s at the highway now, away from people. The other half he's worried that the kidnapper is taking Seulgi far away from him. He turns then into a grey wolf and starts sniffling. Half-angel Healer has their own certain smell and he gets it soon enough. He continues his track.

‘Don’t fall asleep, Seulgi,’ a voice in her head says. She blinks her blurry eyes, adjusting the view. ‘Focus, Seulgi. You need to focus,’ the voice says again. Focus for what? She asks back. ‘They’ve got you. You need to run! Wake up, Seulgi, wake up!’ the voice – man’s voice – says loudly in her ears. She tries hard to open her eyes. 

She focuses hard and intently. She now has put two and two together. Jisook drugged her with that water. She shakes her head. Healers can heal themselves right? She asks to herself. She puts her hands on her laps and focuses how she heals people. And soon, she regains her consciousness. Her eye sights become clearer though her head is still throbbing.

She looks to her left, where Jisook is, the man is focusing on the road which she realizes is away from Seoul. “Where are you taking me?” she yells, backing away from him.

“Oh, you’re awake?” Jisook asks sarcastically.

“I asked you, where you are taking me?!”

He laughs, “To my master, of course.” Master?! “He’d be so happy that I got you know. I’ll be rewarded.”

“You’re…”

“Werewolf, sweetheart. I can’t believe you can’t tell. Didn’t Healers have the ability to recognize werewolves?”

No, no this can’t be happening. She struggles with her seatbelt. “What are you doing?!” Jisook asks angrily with his right hand trying to stop her. She bites his hand, he swears loudly, and finally gets the seatbelt off herself. She tries to open the door but it’s locked. She then does something she knows she can’t do before, emitting a fire from her palm. She stares wide at her palm and before she knows it, she throws the fire to his face. He sways the steering wheel and stops the car at once because of his burned face, Seulgi had hit her head on the window. 

Seulgi reaches over him and unlocks the door. She runs as fast as her legs could take into the wood next to the highway. All she could think right now is Taemin, Taemin and Taemin. Please, save me, she cries in her head. She could hear her heart beating in her ears.

Soon she jerks forward as something falls on her back. She falls down face first on the ground. She cries for help with tears streaming down her eyes. She tries to stand up but she’s being shoves down back then the attacker turns her around. Jisook is on top of her, his red gleaming eye staring down at her, his other side of face has burned, dripping blood on her face. “Please… please don’t,” she pleads. She tries to push him away with her trembling hands.

He then turns into a black wolf. She screams for help while thrashing around to get away from him. “NO! NO PLEASE DON’T!” she closes her eyes and prays for someone to hear.

She feels stabbing on her wrist, she shrieks in pain but soon the pain is gone and so does the weight on her body. With all her last might, she opens her eyes and looks up. Jisook is gone. She looks to her right, and the black wolf that once she knows is Jisook is fighting with a grey wolf. She sits up and gathers all her strengths to stand but she falls down back as her legs are too weak due to them quivering so hard.

She tries again and does it this time. She gives a last look on the fighting wolves and runs back to the highway, away from the wolves.

Once she reaches the highway, she’s expecting to see any car to stop but there’s none. The only car on the road is Jisook’s. She doesn’t have any other choice but to take it.

She arrives the clinic an hour later and raps hard the glass door. It’s locked and she’s really scared. “Minho! Gwiboon! Please open the door!” she cries hard. Then in the dim light of the clinic, she sees two figures coming down from the stairs. Minho comes running towards the door, he unlocks it and Seulgi rushes inside. Gwiboon gets her and hugs the trembling hard girl tightly. “What happened? Where’s Taemin?”

Seulgi is too weak to speak so she shakes her head, indicating that she doesn’t know. She cries at the crook of Gwiboon’s neck. She feels like she’s going to lose it.

The next thing she knows, they take her upstairs and seated her down on the couch. Gwiboon wipes clean her bloody face and the dirt on her hair and body. They are trying to mend her bleeding wrist but before the three of them know it, the bleeding stops and the wound is gone. Her wrist is as good as new. But she is too scared to think about anything.
She is almost being taken to the werewolves.

They sit huddled together in the living room. Seulgi stays in Gwiboon’s arms, the woman pets her hair while humming to some songs, calming the shaking girl. Seulgi is almost fall asleep when the door downstairs being knock rapidly, Minho still sits up, alert. And then comes Taemin’s voice asking Minho to open the door. Minho runs downstairs.
Both of them emerge together and Taemin’s eyes roam around the room to look for Seulgi. Once he finds her he runs to her. He pulls her in his arms, Seulgi hugs him back.

“Thank god, you’re safe!” he says. “I was worried when I saw you leaving the forest.”

Seulgi leans back, “It was you? The grey wolf was you?” Taemin nods and brings her back into a tight hug. He keeps apologizing to her.

“Taemin, what is going on?” Minho asks finally. None of the couple have any slightest idea on what has happened.

“They’ve got her,” Taemin says. The couple faces turned to shock. “But she’s got away, didn't she? You’re okay, now,” Taemin says quickly.

“I don’t understand… how…?” Gwiboon asks. Seulgi tells them how she’s being asked to go to the blind date, the man Jisook offers to send her home and how he drugged her.

When she’s finished Taemin asks, “Do you think your friend…?”

“No! Sooyoung wouldn’t do that to me! She’s not what like you think!” Seulgi says quickly.
Minho and Gwiboon agreed. “I don’t think she knows. Even so, she might be hypnotized. She's a human,” Gwiboon reckons. Taemin looks at her with defeat.

“But how did you get away, Taemin?” Minho asks then.

Taemin frowns and then heaves a deep sigh. He closes his eyes and says, “It is true.” He opens his eyes and look at them one by one. “Jinki has turned Jonghyun.”

Her scent was getting stronger and stronger each time. She was close. He quickened his pace in the wood. He sometimes would look to his left where the highway was to make sure there’s a car somewhere. And true to his expectations, there’s a car in the middle of the road. It didn't move though and the doors were left opened. He left the wood and jumped over the border. He went to car to see traces of her but it was empty. He sniffed and then he followed the scent into the wood on the other side of road. He paced there quickly.
 

He was about to stop to sniff for her scent again when he heard it. A woman’s voice screaming for help. It’s her. He sprinted towards the depth of the wood and he saw a wolf as big as he was straining her under him. He saw the wolf bit her wrist and he made for it. He attacked the wolf from behind and sent it rolling away from her.
 

Then the wolf stood up and started to come for him. The two wolves fought. Though in the middle of the fight, he saw from the corner of his eyes Seulgi running away from the scene. He was to run for her when the wolf then attacked him. He rolled on the ground. He regained his strength and charged at the other. Maybe he was too strong or the wolf was weak, he didn’t know but he seized the wolf easily. 
 

He had just bit the wolf’s neck when he was thrown away from the black wolf. He hit a tree and slumped down on the ground. He quickly got on his feet and was ready to attack his new attacker. There stood a brown wolf, it was standing protectively in front of the unconscious black wolf. Taemin was going to go for the brown one when it suddenly turned, shifted into a human form.

He backed away quickly, startled.
 

The brown wolf was now in the form of Jonghyun. The man stared hard at Taemin. “I’m sorry,” he said before turning to the black wolf and picked it up. The wolf slumped on his shoulder. Jonghyun then ran away as fast as he could away from the wood.

Everyone goes silent even after he finishes his story. They are too shock to react. He would be surprise if they don’t find this is too much. He slowly lets go of Seulgi and stands up to pace the room anxiously. He never thought Jinki would do that even after the pressure he gets for killing Leo for Jonghyun. Now, he brings Jonghyun in with them. What is wrong with him, anyway?

“But… they said – in the news – he’s dead…” Seulgi says softly.

Taemin nods, “Yes he was but it takes a week for a human to turn.”

“You’re saying?” Minho asks, confused.

“There are cases where a human was bitten by a werewolf, and that human was supposed to be dead but the human didn’t. The wolf intentionally or unintentionally didn’t really kill the human and then turned them.” Taemin stops for a while before continuing, “Maybe Jinki made Jonghyun believed he killed him. Made the rest of the hunters and the wolf packs believed that he had killed Jonghyun.”

“But why? Why didn’t he actually kill him?” Gwiboon asks.

“Because Jinki loves him, doesn’t he?” Taemin answers with a lump in his throat. That’s the only explanation on why he does that.

Jonghyun drops the black wolf on the floor at Jinki’s legs. Jinki eyes the lump at his legs with no single expression. He then looks up to Jonghyun. “And the girl?” he asks coldly.

Jonghyun rolls his eyes. “Clearly she’s not here,” he says sarcastically.

Jinki punches Jonghyun with his knuckle brass, hard in the face. “Don’t play smart with me, Jonghyun.”

Jonghyun straightens his face, spits out blood on the floor. He feels some liquid dripping on his cheek. He touches it and brings his hand to his eyes. It is bleeding. He looks at the Alpha with such loathing. He then flips his middle finger to the Alpha and leaves the room.

He kicks open the bathroom and goes to the sink. He turns on the water and cleans his cheeks. He looks up to the mirror. He watches the long cut across his cheek slowly healed itself. He never feels so disgusted with himself until now. He feels like contaminated and dirty. He used to be hunter and killed werewolves. And now, he’s one of them. He feels like he’s betraying his ancestors. Sure, he already done that by f-king with a werewolf but this is different.
He starts to cry then. He leans his hands on the tiled sink and cries. His tears drop on the cold surface. His shoulders are shaking. His sobs resonate in the bathroom.

Little does he know, Jinki is standing outside with a first aid kit in his hands, listening to the sobbing and feeling guilty of himself.

And also, I'm having a hard time rn because I've forgotten the storyline of this fic that I've had in mind before.
