Lee Taeyong, is best described as a grown up Pinocchio, a puppet which came to live and at the end of the story, miraculously transformed into a real boy. Lee Taeyong however, unluckily, didn’t meet such miracle and remains a puppet. Of course, this is only an analogy to represent Taeyong’s condition, a person who suffers from Alexithymia who, like a puppet, understands almost nothing about feelings or emotions.

Taeyong spent his life, pretending to know how does it feel like to feel complicated feelings such as feeling at ease, honoured and satisfied to conceal the truth, when in fact, to Taeyong, emotions only involve being happy, sad or feeling weird. Having decided to become a doctor, Taeyong saw different kinds of emotions being projected by the people around him; relieve when the a cancer cell was successfully removed by the surgeon; grieve when a person lost their beloved one; depression when a vocalist lost his talent after an intubation; as well as love after Lee Taeyong met Yoo Ahreum.
