That was the first word that comes to my mind before it went blank. Baekhyun with his unnaturally wide eyes and mouth hang open stares at me with shock written all over his cute face while standing in front of me. Probably asking, "What the Chanyeol?!." and killing me over and over again in a brutal way inside his head. Baekhyun and I become best friends since we started high school. It started with a simple "Hey, I like your hair!" from a very straightforward Baekhyun and everything takes its place. Our group consists of: Suho, the smartest among the group. You mostly see him like a mother hen that nags us about how important education is. Lay, well, he is Lay, yeah, that's it. Oh! He is really kind and understanding type of guy that still believes and hold into the power of forever. Sehun, HE IS A . PERIOD. And the last but definitely not the least, Baekhyun, well, he is cute. He is just.. like me. That's why I like him a lot. We have almost the same opinion for everything. We like the same things, have the same hobbies, and everything. Though, I doubt we have the same feelings towards each other.

And that is I guess, why I am in a dilemma like this.

"What the Chanyeol! You're stepping boundaries! I know you're cool, hot, rich and everything but we're friends! Ughh! You're stressing my eyeliner. I told you to eat when you're hungry so you won't mistaken me as a chicken! And-"

"I love you Baek." I said softly cutting him off from whatever dramatic lines that will come out from his lips while staring at him checking his eyeliner in a round shape mirror that he keeps anywhere he went. He stops immediately and turned to look at me, in my eyes. Maybe he is searching a hint in my eyes that will tell him that this is all a joke and I will tell him after how he looks like an idiot right now. But after a while, he looked down.

"Chanyeol.. you know that you're my best friend right?" He said while looking at the stones where we stand right now and surely don't have an idea what is happening right now.

Wow. This is really cliché. I'm not the type of person who watches a lot of romantic movies or read a lot of romantic type of books but as a person who has two eyes, nose, lips and ears and blessed with a common sense, I can feel the rejection coming. And I know that it will hit me hard. The type of hit that will taunt me every night how stupid and idiot I am from falling into my also stupid and idiot best friend Baekhyun. Yes, I consider him as stupid and idiot because WTF? I'm perfect. I'm perfect and he doesn’t want me. So yeah, he is the biggest idiot and stupid person I've ever met.

"I'm sorry Chanyeol. But I don't like you that way." He said now looking back at me.

But instead of walking away and leaving me alone like what many romantic movies and romantic books portrait how rejections are, he hugged me tightly and pat my back while saying, "I'm your best friend. I'm here. And because I'm your best friend, I'll help you get over with this puppy love feeling for me. Trust me, I'm not the one."

I should feel disappointed right? Because yeah, I feel so disappointed right now. Like, I want to yell, " WTF Baekhyun! Who are you to tell me that you're not the one! I don't believe in that kind of but I know that i like you!"BUT I CAN'T DO THAT. Not when he's hugging me like this like he doesn't want me to get hurt but he can't do anything. Not when he's making me feel love like this.

If only I know that I will be in this awkward and depressing situation, maybe I try harder to stop myself from being tempted to kiss Baekhyun.
