Yana’s classroom

 

“Help me!” said Key whispering to Yana.

“Key! Are you even paying any attention to me? I’m asking you what’s the answer to question number 11,” said Mrs Hara.

“Yana!” said Key still whispering.

“Aishh! Next time pay attention. The answer is D,” said Yana whispering too.

“Umm…D!” said Key.

“Correct, you may sit,” said Mrs Hara.

“Huh~ That was close. If you didn’t give me the answer, Mrs Hara will make me stand in the front class again,” said Key.

The school bell is ringing.

“Okay everyone, make sure you finish you’re homework,” said Mrs Hara and left.

“Ah~ I think I want to take a nap,” said Key.

“All you think is sleeping,” said Yana revising what the teacher had taught just now.

“Well, sleeping is a part of my hobby,” said Key smiling.

As Yana and Key were chattering a girl enter their class.

“Oppa! Annyeong!” said the girl.

“Looks like someone’s girlfriend is here,” said Yana at Key.

“Annyeong unnie! said the girl to Yana.

“Annyeong Luna,” said Yana.

“Oppa, take me to the park after school,” said Luna smiling.

“Ne, wait me at the school gate okay,” said Key smiling.

“I’ll be waiting, annyeong oppa” said Luna and left the class.

“You do really love her,” said Yana.

“Of course I love her she’s my girlfriend,” said Key smiling.

“She is a really lucky girl to have a boyfriend like you,” said Yana smiling.

“Umm…Key, I got something to tell you,” said Yana.

“I got to go meet Luna. We’ll talk later,” said Key rushing out of the class.

“Yaa! Key!” shouted Nay.

 

The school gate after school

 

“Oppa! I’m sorry I’m a bit late,” said Luna smiling.

“Annio, you’re not late at all. I just arrived just know, I was doing something with Yana before I came here,” said Key smiling also.

“Oppa, you shouldn’t have been hanging out with her too often,” said Luna.

“Waeyo? What’s with her? She’s just fine,” said Key.

“Some people are thinking that you’re dating her instead of me,” said Luna.

“Don’t listen to people so much,” said Key.

“Ever since that Yana girl is friends with Key, it seems like Yana got a lot more attention from Key than me. I hate acting like I like her in front of Key,” said Luna angrily in her heart.

 “Oppa, let’s go to the park now,” said Luna sweetly.

“Ne, haja,” said Key.

 

Yana’s room

 

Yanawas lying on her bed.

“Soon I won’t be at this place anymore,” said Yana.

“I’m sure gonna miss this place,” said Yana.

“Is Key gonna miss me when I’m gone?” said Yana.

“I don’t think so cause he got Luna,” said Yana.

 “I don’t know why I always have to act like I like her when I’m in front of Key,” said Yana angrily.

“I can’t tell Key that she’s evil, he will not believe me cause she is all sweet when she is with him,” said Yana.

“And he seems happy when he is with her,” said Yana.

“But I also can’t let him be in love with a girl that isn’t in love with him and I’m his friend I can’t let him suffer in the end,” said Yana.

“Ah! I hate that girl! She only wants to be with Key because he is popular and rich,” said Yana angrily.

“I think I’ll tell him when it’s the right time,” said Yana.

“I wish I could tell him now,” said Yana.           

 

“Something you want to tell me,” said Key suddenly appear in her room.

“Yaa! What are you doing in my room?!” said Yana a little bit shocked.

“Your aunt said I could come over,” said Key smiling.

Yanais now leaving with her aunt. Her parents are in Australia. Key and Yana are neighbors. Since Yana moved here about a few years ago. Key and Yana became best friends.

“Don’t you know how to knock?” said Yana.

“Haha, mian,” said Key while sitting on Nay’s bed.

“Yaa! Get away from my bed,” said Yana.

“No,” said Key.

“Get up,” said Yana hitting him with a pillow.

“So you wanna play it that way,” said Key.

He took Yana’s other pillow and started hitting her. Yana hit him again with her pillow too.

“Yaa! Stop hitting me!” said Yana.

“You started it!” said Key.

They hit each other playfully and after a while they stop because they were tired hitting each other.

Key looked at Yana and then he started laughing.

“Yaa! Why are you laughing?” said Yana.

“Look at your hair,” said Key still laughing.

Yanalook at herself in the mirror.

“It’s all messy and it’s all your fault,” said Yana hitting Key with the pillow again.

“Yaa! I’m going on a date with Luna after this, don’t mess my hair,” said Key.

Yana just stick her tongue out.

 

At school

 

“Oppa! Let’s go to the canteen together,” said Luna sweetly.

Yanawas looking at Luna. She feels like want to punch her in the face. Yana saw that Key was looking at her, Yana just smiles at Key. Yana, Key and Luna always go to the canteen together.

“Why is Yana looking at Luna like that?” said Key in his heart.

“Urgh! She’s so annoying,” said Yana in her heart. She look at Luna with a disgusted face.

“Yaa! Yana,” shouted Heechul from behind.

“Wae? Why are you calling me?” said Yana.

“Mrs Yoona  wanted to see you,” said Heechul.

“Oh, okay then. You guys go first, I’ll catch up with you later okay,” said Yana and follow Heechul.

Yanaand Heechul were already at the teacher lounge searching for Mrs Yoona.

“Where is Mrs Yoona?” said Yana.

“I don’t know. She was here when I went out looking for you,” said Heechul.

“Since she’s not here yet, let’s snack a little at the canteen for a while,” said Yana smiling.

“Good idea, I am a bit starving,” said Heechul smiling back at her.

Key and Luna had already finish eating and heading towards their class. Key saw Yana and Heechul were laughing. He stares at the both of them. Luna saw Key was looking at something.

“Oppa, what are you looking at?” said Luna.

“Huh? Oh, nothing,” said Key.

“You’re looking at Yana unnie again, aren’t you,” said Luna.

“What are you talking about,” said Key trying to hide it.

 

At the canteen

 

“I wonder why Mrs Yoona wants to see me?” said Yana with full of chocolate.

“Yaa, eat properly. You get chocolate all over your mouth,” said Heechul laughing a bit.

“I can’t control it. Oh my gosh! This chocolate is so delicious. Want to try some?” said Yana handing him the chocolate she’s holding.

“Sure, why not,” said Heechul.

He just smile and wipes Yana’s lips with his thumb. Yana was a bit surprised.

“Yaa! Why you do that!?” said Yana covering with her hands.

“You said I could try some,” said Heechul the chocolate on his thumb.

“I said this chocolate!” said Yana pointing at the bar of chocolate she was holding.

“Not this chocolate!” said Yana pointing at the .

“Its still chocolate right?” said Heechul smiling.

“I’m gonna punch you if you do that again,” said Yana feeling a little angry.

“Then punch me right know, I think I’m gonna do it again,” said Heechul smiling.

“Yaa!” said Yana feeling a little shy.

“Mianhae, I’m just joking,” said Heechul laughing a bit.

“Ha ha, well it’s not funny,” said Yana.

“Mianhae, I won’t do it again,” said Heechul laughing.

“You better be,” said Yana.

“Hahaha, you’re kinda funny,” said Heechul laughing.

“You too,” said Yana smiling at him.

Their conversations were full of laughters. Yana didn’t know that Key had seen everything. He just look at the both of them with his sad eyes and walk back to his class.

 

At the teacher lounge

 

“There you are Yana,” said Mrs Yoona.

“Thank you for calling Yana for me Heechul, you may go,” said Mrs Yoona smiling.

“Heechul smile back and left the teacher lounge.

“You want to talk to me about something Mrs Yoona?” said Yana.

“Your parent call saying that you are gonna move to Australia back,” said Mrs Yoona.

“Yeah, so?” said Yana.

“Have you tell your friends yet?” said Mrs Yoona.

“I don’t have any friends here,” said Yana.

“How about Key? He’s your best friend right?” said Mrs Yoona.

“I wanted to tell him but he is always with Luna,” said Yana.

“Then find a perfect time to tell him,” said Mrs Yoona.

“It doesn’t matter cause I don’t think he cares if I’m here or not anymore,” said Yana.

“Okay then, ask your parent when will you move and I’ll settle your school files,” said Mrs Yoona.

“Neh~” said Yana with a moody tone and left the teacher lounge.

“Huh~ I’m going to move next week. I think I should just tell Mrs Yoona tomorrow and not now,” said Yana in her heart.

 

Outside of the teacher lounge

“I’m really gonna miss this school,” said Yana as she walks out of the teacher lounge.

“You’re moving?” said a voice.

“He..Heechul? You’re still here?I thought you had went back to your class” said Yana

“I thought I should wait for you but…why are you moving?” said Heechul.

“It’s my parents decisions, not mine,” said Yana.

“So…when are you moving?” said Heechul.

“Next week,” said Yana.

“Next week! That means you only got three days left!Why didn’t you tell Mrs Yoona, you’re going to move next week,” said Heechul.

“None of your business,” said Yana.

“Have you told Key?” said Heechul.

“No, I haven’t yet but don’t tell him because I am going to tell him myself and do me a favor. Stop asking questions,” said Yana.

“Okay then, I won’t ask.Umm..since you only got two days left…” said Heechul.

“Since tomorrow is not school day, let’s spend a day together before you move away,” said Heechul smiling.

“Sure,” said Yana smiling.

“I’ll pick you up at 10 a.m at your house okay,” said Heechul.

“Wait? You know where I live?” said Yana.

“Er..Let’s walk to class together,” said Heechul changing the subject.

“Actually, I follow you to your house the other day,” said Heechul in his heart.

 

Yana’s class

 

“What did Mrs Yoona want?” said Key.

“Nothing much. She’s just asking stuff,” said Yana.

“Oh, ok then,” said Key.

“Why is my heart beating so fast right now? I’m always okay when I’m with her,” said Key in his heart.

“Want to hang out after school today?” said Yana.

“Mian, I can’t I got a date with Luna after school. Maybe tomorrow” said Key.

“I can’t tomorrow because…I got something to do,” said Yana.

“Maybe the day after tomorrow then, we’ll meet at the park at 9 a.m, okay?” said Key smiling.

“Okay then,” said Yana.

Key looks at Yana then he looks at the class ceiling, remembering about Yana and Heechul at the canteen today.

 

After school

 

“You really do love Key, Luna” said Luna’s friend Narsha.

“I love him? Okay listen here, I love him because he is the most popular guy in school and I am the most popular girl in school,” said Luna.

“You mean, you don’t love him? You seem so sweet when you’re with him said Narsha.

“It’s all about popularity Narsha. When I couple with him, I will be more popular,” said Luna.

“You’re genius girl!” said Narsha giving Luna a high five.

“Just promise you don’t say anything to Key, it will ruin everything,” said Luna.

“Okay,” said Narsha.

Luna didn’t know that Key had actually heard all of her sayings to Narsha just now.

“I really can’t believe what I’m hearing,” said Key then walk away from them.

 

The next day…

 

At Yana’s house

 

“I’m coming!” said Yana when she heard a knock at the door.

“Oh, Heechul, you’re already here,” said Yana.

“Yeah, am I late?” said Heechul.

“You’re just on time, come on,” said Yana and close the door behind her.

“Umm..where are we going anyway?” said Yana.

“To your favorite place,” said Heechul smiling.

“My favorite place?” said Yana.

 

Animal farm

 

“Omo, how did you know? I really love this place,” said Yana.

Animal farm is a place where there is only tame animal in it, we can also touch them if we want.

“Just a guess,” said Heechul.

“Thanks, for bringing me here, I really like cute animals,” said Yana.

“No biggie, I just want to make this the best day for you before you go,” said Heechul.

Yanaglanced at Heechul, then suddenly she was remembering about Key. Key still didn’t know about her moving. Tomorrow is her last day.

“Umm..Yana?” said Heechul.

“Huh? What? Yes, what is it?” said Yana.

“Are you remembering something?” said Heechul.

“Anneyo, let’s look at the animals,” said Yana smiling.

“Look at this rabbit, it’s so cute,” said Yana holding it while playing with it.

“I know that you’re remembering about Key, right?” said Heechul.

“Why would I be remembering about him?” said Yana.

“I know that you like him. Just admit it,” said Heechul.

“No I don’t! I hate him! I don’t think he cares if I’m here or not! So why should I be thinking about him!” shouted Yana.

Heechul was a bit shocked so he kept quiet.

“Mian Heechul, I didn’t mean to yell at you,” said Yana.

“No, i’m the one who should be apologizing, mianhae Yana, I didn’t mean to make you feel bad,” said Heechul.

“It’s okay,” said Yana.

“Have you told him yet? About your moving,” said Heechul.

“No, I didn’t have the chance,” said Yana.

“You still have tomorrow, right? So don’t feel sad,” said Heechul messing with Yana’s hair.

“Yeah, I guess so,” said Yana.

“Why am I feeling so sad to leave this place?” said Yana in her heart.

 

At the park

 

“Oppa! I’m here!” said Luna.

Key look at her then look away.

“Oppa, why won’t you look at me?” said Luna.

Key just ignores her.        

“Oppa, waeyo?” said Luna.

“I’m breaking up with you,” said Key.

“What! Waeyo oppa?” said Luna.

“I know realized that you’re not for me,” said Key.

“You’re saying that cause you love Yana unnie know, right?” said Luna.

“You love me because of popularity and not true love. I can’t accept someone who is like that,” said Key and left.

“Yaa! Don’t leave me! I’m the most popular girl in school!” shouted Luna.

But Key just ignores her and kept walking.

 

Yana’s room

 

It’s already night...

“I wanted to hate him and forget about him but my heart says I can’t hate him and I can’t forget about him. Why?” said Yana.

“I’m going to meet him tomorrow anyway, I’ll just say what ever I have in my mind,” said Yana.

“Maybe I should call him. Should I?” said Yana.

Yanalooks at her phone. She kept staring at it and then she grabs her phone and dial Key’s number.

 “Why isn’t he picking up?” said Yana.

“Maybe he had already asleep,” said Yana.

She puts down her phone, switch the light off and covers herself with her blanket.

 

Outside of Yana’s house

 

Key isn’t asleep yet in fact he was walking all day long thinking about Luna and Yana.

“Her bedroom light is off, I think she’s asleep already,” said Key.

“Hmm…I’ll text her,” said Key opening her phone.

“Aigoo~ my batteries are dead. Hope nobody had call me because if they did call I don’t think I can answer them.

“I’ll just call her tomorrow then,” said Key.

He shoves his phone back into his pocket and went inside his house.

 

Next day…

 

Yana’s room

 

“Electric heart~” Yana’s phone is ringing.

“Yoboseyo?” said Yana in a sleepy voice.

“Oh! Omma, wae?” said Yana.

“What! But you said that I’m moving tomorrow! Why today?” said Yana.

“I’m really sorry to say this sweetie but your father said that your flight is actually today, he misread the flight schedule. Just pack your things, the flight is at 10.30am.You better hurry you only got 3 hours. See you in Australia sweetheart,” said Yana’s mother and then hung off.

“Omo! I better pack my things,” said Yana.

She rush out of her bed and started to pack. She didn’t even remember about her last meeting with Key at the park. After packing, she took a bath and eats breakfast. She has to be at the airport before 10 because from her house to the airport took at least 1 hour.

“Omo! It’s already 9 o’clock!” said Yana.

She rushes out of the house but suddenly she stopped. She look at Key’s house remembering that she should be meeting him at the park, right about know.

The cab driver asked her to get in the cab because she’s gonna be late.

“I think this is goodbye Key,” said Yana in heart and went inside the cab.

 

On the way to airport

 

“I think I better call Heechul,” said Yana while dialing Heechul’s number.

“Hello Heechul, it’s me,” said Yana.

“Waeyo? Why did you call?” said Heechul.

“I’m on my way to the airport right know,” said Yana.

 “Airport? Waeyo? Isn’t your flight tomorrow?” said Heechul.

“Turns out my dad misread the flight schedule, my flight is today,” said Yana.

“So…yesterday was your last day, huh,” said Heechul.

“Yeah, it was really fun spending time with you,” said Yana.

“No big, I’m just doing this as a friend but….,” said Heechul.

“What?” said Yana.

“What about Key?” said Heechul.

“I didn’t have the chance to meet him,” said Yana.

“But today is the day you fly off? Why didn’t you call Key?” said Heechul.

“Sorry Heechul, I gotta go. I’m near the airport now. Annyeong,” said Yana and hung off.

 

At the park

 

“Why is Yana so late?” said Key.

“I wonder what happen,” said Key.

“Hello, Hello~” Key’s phone is ringing.

“Yoboseyo?” said Key.

“Yaa! Where are you?!” said the voice.

“Who is this? Why are you yelling at me?” said Key.

“It doesn’t matter who I am. Did you even know that Yana is moving back to Australia?!” said the voice.

“She’s moving back to Australia?!! How come I didn’t know about this?” said Key.

“Maybe when she is trying to tell you, you weren’t listening! You were too busy about Luna!” said the voice.

“Where is Yana now?” said Key.

“At the airport, you better hurry,” said the voice.

Key hung off the phone and takes a cab to the airport.

 

“I hope you guys will meet each other at the airport,” said Heechul.

 

At the airport

 

“I think my flight will be next,” said Yana.

“I’m really sad to leave this place,” said Yana.

She carries her bag and was about to go.

“Yaa!” someone shouted.

Key walks toward Yana.

“Huh? Key?” said Yana in her heart.

“Why didn’t you say you were moving?” said Key.

“It doesn’t matter whether I told you or not, right?” said Yana.

“Of course it’s not right, you’re my best friend,” said Key.

“I gotta go, I’m gonna be late for my flight,” said Yana.

“Yana, please don’t go,” said Key grabbing her hand.

“Let go of my hand, I’m gonna be late,” said Yana ignoring what Key had just said.

“Yana! Please! I’m begging you! Don’t go!” shouted Key.

“It doesn’t matter whether I’m here or not anymore! You got Luna! Give me one reason why I can’t go back!” shouted Yana.

Key was silent for a few minutes, then, he walks towards Yana and hugs her. Yana was a bit shocked.

“Because I love you,” said Key.

Those words really had shocked Yana.

“I now realize that Luna was not the one for me, she just likes me because of popularity,” said Key still hugging Yana.

“I realized that you were the only one for me and I’m really sorry if I have hurt your feeling,” said Key still hugging Yana.

She didn’t know what to say, she hugs Key back.

“I love you too,” said Yana crying tears of joy.

“Promise me you won’t leave me,” said Key wiping away Yana’s tears.

“Promise,” said Yana smiling.
