The play of light behind his eyelids was the first thing he noticed upon coming back to consciousness, and a smile formed on his lips before he even opened his eyes. Sitting up, he saw the temple around him had healed itself, the cracks and the crumbles sealing and becoming pristine once more. His body was healed as well, b with energy that was ready to be loosed.

He was not Hoya, not any longer, and yet he was. He remembered everything that made Hoya who he was, everything that he had been and gone through, and he remembered the feelings that ran through him as he walked through his life. And yet, there was more. He also remembered being the Light, the deity that governed and kept the world safe and secure and happy, millenia upon millenia of life in his memory. He was Hoya and yet he was so much more now - he was the Light.

And he had a job to do. With a grimace on his face, he turned toward what had once been the city of light, the shining beacon of goodness and hope and healing that all could go to and find reprise. It stood like a black sore in the distance, the land diminished into unhealthy shades all around it. That would be where the Rulers were, residing in their gluttony and hatred and cruelty, and he knew that that was where he must go. Chapter 9: This story was just as good as I remembered and I loved the morals in each of the chapters. It was an interesting story and the way you portrayed the Light in different views and tests for Hoya were fantastic. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to reread it.

It's been four years since I last read this story, and now i get to read it again and maybe have a different perspective on it. Who knows? I look forward to it, regardless.

Chapter 9: This story was beautiful, and I love the way you described each shard differently and how Hoya learned from each of them. Now I see that throughout the entire trial, he was being tested and trained to be what the world needed most: the Light. The ending was perfect, too, and you wrapped this up nicely. Thank you for giving us a great story with such a powerful message to all♡.

Chapter 6: Goodness! This monster gave me the creeps, but I did have to laugh at the beginning of the fight, because it reminded me of a Boss fight in a video game. I loved that, honestly!
The pain and compassion Hoya felt for the dying boy was great, but also sad. He will be undoubtedly rewarded for this act someday, and already WAS, in a way, with regaining compassion and the feeling to help people again. I think I know who this Light shard was, too. I think maybe Sungjong? He was who I imagined through it.

Chapter 5: After the kind way Hoya has treated people, it's nice to see it being recognized and rewarded, even if it's just in a warm meal and reassurance that there is still hope. Now he'll just have to BELIEVE in it. This was a great way to show the Light. I loved it♡.

Chapter 3: The way Hoya is trying to stay true to the Light is so wonderful and it's great to read him as one of the only good people left. I feel terrible for him, though. The betrayal he's gone through...I hope he can stay on the right path. Poor guy=(.

Chapter 1: Wow, this opened with a bang, didn't it? It's sad how quickly people will compromise and throw their values out. I hope all hope isn't lost already! Great beginning!

This sparks (no pun intended) so many questions, so I'm glad I can read it now!

Chapter 9: :o
So now, in the end, Hoya has become the Light? Or the Light has become Hoya? Or the Light has absorbed Hoya or something like that??? >.< this was a rollercoaster! D: I really enjoyed it though. (I'm just going to guess the injured boy was Sungjong.)
