Imagine a world of safety and comfort in the everyday lives of the people, a world where the commodities are afforded to the people by a benevolent being of Light instead of technology. Everyone is encouraged to grow, to thrive, to become the best they can under the Light.

Now imagine a parallel world, one of darkness and anger, that celebrates cruelty and ignorance. A world that is filled with powerful beings of darkness that lie and kill to attain their desires.

Lastly, imagine a world in between the two, always misty and dank, as if a curtain shrouds it from the Light and the Dark. None can live in this realm, for only the spirits of the dead are welcome in the Grey.

These realms do exist, and they are known as the Trinity. Or at least, they were.

More than a century ago, four beings from the Dark discovered how to pierce through the Grey and enter into the Light, and when they arrived, they joined forces and slaughtered the benevolent Light. Knowing that a god cannot be so simply killed, they took the pieces of the Light and scattered it throughout the Grey, content in their knowledge that none could return from that.

They set themselves up as the new Rulers of the Realm  of Light, bestowing a new  name upon it: Death, so as to remind people what would happen if they sought the Light.

Chapter 9: This story was just as good as I remembered and I loved the morals in each of the chapters. It was an interesting story and the way you portrayed the Light in different views and tests for Hoya were fantastic. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to reread it.

It's been four years since I last read this story, and now i get to read it again and maybe have a different perspective on it. Who knows? I look forward to it, regardless.

Chapter 9: This story was beautiful, and I love the way you described each shard differently and how Hoya learned from each of them. Now I see that throughout the entire trial, he was being tested and trained to be what the world needed most: the Light. The ending was perfect, too, and you wrapped this up nicely. Thank you for giving us a great story with such a powerful message to all♡.

Chapter 6: Goodness! This monster gave me the creeps, but I did have to laugh at the beginning of the fight, because it reminded me of a Boss fight in a video game. I loved that, honestly!
The pain and compassion Hoya felt for the dying boy was great, but also sad. He will be undoubtedly rewarded for this act someday, and already WAS, in a way, with regaining compassion and the feeling to help people again. I think I know who this Light shard was, too. I think maybe Sungjong? He was who I imagined through it.

Chapter 5: After the kind way Hoya has treated people, it's nice to see it being recognized and rewarded, even if it's just in a warm meal and reassurance that there is still hope. Now he'll just have to BELIEVE in it. This was a great way to show the Light. I loved it♡.

Chapter 3: The way Hoya is trying to stay true to the Light is so wonderful and it's great to read him as one of the only good people left. I feel terrible for him, though. The betrayal he's gone through...I hope he can stay on the right path. Poor guy=(.

Chapter 1: Wow, this opened with a bang, didn't it? It's sad how quickly people will compromise and throw their values out. I hope all hope isn't lost already! Great beginning!

This sparks (no pun intended) so many questions, so I'm glad I can read it now!

Chapter 9: :o
So now, in the end, Hoya has become the Light? Or the Light has become Hoya? Or the Light has absorbed Hoya or something like that??? >.< this was a rollercoaster! D: I really enjoyed it though. (I'm just going to guess the injured boy was Sungjong.)
