“Yesung…” Siwon spoke up when the other had put Joonmyun down for another nap. “I’m truly sorry, for not telling you about the affair. I felt guilty for both you and her,” he tried to explain but he knew that he deserved the cold shoulder. “I didn’t sleep with her for a month like she told you; it was a few days, then just talking and dinner. I thought she was a nice person and I couldn’t treat her like a one-night stand. I guess she thought we had something because when I told her I was with you, she was distraught, but she didn’t say anything about being pregnant,” he sighed. “I know I ed up big time and brought an innocent life into this, and I know I don’t deserve you…

“Everything was perfect until this morning and know, I’m just some jerk to you that hates baby’s and likes to cheat. I’m just- Give me some time to get used to the baby and I’ll-…please let me make it up to you,” he pleaded, not wanting Yesung to stay mad at him.

It was a few minutes before Yesung said a word, allowing Siwon to tail him around the kitchen as he put away Joonmyun’s baby food, milk and bottles.

“Do what you want Siwon.” His words were cold and his voice held venom, but he was still hurt. He didn’t look in the other male’s direction because his eyes were bloodshot and teary. Instead he left the kitchen and went to the bathroom to shower, clear his head and cry some more. He didn’t know where his relationship with Siwon was headed anymore. Now that the trust was broken, who knows what would happen? Yesung was nothing but an option to Siwon now. He could opt to make his parents very happy by leaving Yesung for this woman. Technically he’d done what they wished for by having a kid; all that was missing was a woman. They only saw Yesung as a temporary fling and three years was already pushing it to them.

It was entertaining to be honest. Siwon awkwardly sitting in front of the baby, staring at him as if he were a grown stranger was the first thing Yesung saw as he came out of the bathroom. If anyone were to guess, Siwon was the person who looked like he’d be great with children. With such a charming smile and kind heart it was a little difficult to see him frown and freeze when Yesung’s niece was shoved into his arms. Perhaps it was the shock of it all, the responsibility being placed in his hands, knowing that if he wasn’t careful, with the accidental slip of fingers such a fragile life would be in great danger. Right there was a nine-month old baby, staring at him with big chestnut coloured eyes and chubby cheeks, a giant sponge ready to absorb everything that went on around him. Siwon knew that a baby was no joke at all; there was so much to teach them: how to walk, talk properly, politeness, teach them what things are and how stuff works; they need to learn to read and write, they need resources, doctor’s visits, school costs money and hagwons* cost more; Clothes, technology, a college education and an apartment for two years, a car, a wedding reception…gifts for their children.
