Typo is a new kind of roleplaying we would like to introduce. Instead of sticking to one concept or universe, every month will bring a new plot, a new setting, and new challenges. We pride ourselves in being a dynamic roleplay, and here at Typo, our goal is to bring back the roleplay in roleplaying. An outstanding skill at writing is not something we expect; what we do require and expect of you is an interest to improve, and a passion to roleplay.

Aside from an altogether different concept we've introduced, there are also a couple of features you might not have tried before. However, these are the introductions, so that when you join, you won't be as confused as you might be now. Of course, if there are still any questions, you're encouraged to ask an admin for help.

OBLIGATORY TRACKERS We understand that some threads are just impossible to finish in one month, and that's why we've decided to enforce trackers. Before verification, we'll check if you've already set up a tracker for your character or not; please set the trackers up per universe. (For example, the main thread is titled 'trackers' and there are sub-threads like 'Universe 001', etc.) How you want to format your trackers are up to you.

WANTED ADS Instead of having a wishlist, as a way to make it easier to find pre-plotted connections or whatnot, we've introduced a wanted advertisement feature. How it works is that you write a request for a pre-plotted connection you're searching for, and afterwards, you can send the link to the base and we'll put it up on the thread so that tenative members can look through it for character ideas, too. Of course, established members are also allowed to take wanted advertisements. Once you've found someone to take your ad, notify an admin so we can take down your ad from the page.

ASK MEMES If you've roleplayed on Tumblr before, chances are you're already familiar as to what these are. Occasionally, the character development account will post a link to an ask meme, and the members who retweet it are basically saying they're allowing the other members to send them prompts or questions that are from the link the character development account posted. These are not necessary and are just in good fun.

CHARACTER STATION Instead of checking your activity by the last date of your tweets or the amount of tweets you have, our weekly activity checks are done via character development. Aside from posting ask memes, the character development account is mainly focused on questionnaires and prompts to develop your character. Every week, the admins will check if you've posted a questionnaire or a prompt from the development account, and if you have, then that means your spot is safe. Exemptions are made for those on hiatus or semi hiatus. To make it easier for both yourself and the admins, you're required to make a thread specifically for character development.

MONTHLY MISSIONS To make everything more fun for everyone and to ensure you've got a goal for each month, there will be missions for each month, and each mission will be different for each member group. If a specific member group has completed their mission, they'll get a reward from the base.

MEMBER GROUPS Each character must have one member-group, nothing more, nothing less. The member groups always change per setting, and so, you'll have to change your member group every month as well. A member group is a specific group that your character belongs to.

ETTIQUETTE Respect to be respected. If you don't want to be treated badly, then treat everyone else kindly. Don't use racial slurs or become the second coming of Donald Trump, just — think before you speak. If you're ever uncomfortable by a certain topic on timeline, notify the admins. Drama-wise, while we do not tolerate OOC drama, IC drama is encouraged as long as the participants understand that what happens while IC stays IC.
ACTIVITY No minimum tweets are required of you on the first day as we understand that might be a difficult task for an AU roleplay, and the activity checks are weekly (if you've read the previous information regarding character development, you'd understand), but please don't join just to hog a spot. If the admins think you're only active whenever there's an activity check, we will ask you to leave.
OUT OF CHARACTER Posting anything OOC is highly discouraged, but if you must, please put brackets. Languages other than English or basic Korean (as not everyone speaks it), should be kept to a minimum. Learn to differentiate between OOC and IC; if someone's character is cold, it doesn't necessarily mean the person playing the character is cold as well.
TIMELINE When threading on timeline, we ask of you to tag your triggers, and to not carelessly comment using words that are controversial (and if you see someone behaving this way, please DM the base.) Explicit threads are to be done using DM, but if something steamy is something you deem necessary to thread on timeline, please use a fade to black method.
LITERACY There's no minimum word count or expected literacy level, and how long you want to keep your threads is a choice between you and your roleplay partner. However, please limit the use of memes and $P3AK1NG LYK DIzZZ@!! (Not necessarily exactly like that, but you know what I mean.)
RELATIONSHIPS You're free to love whoever you'd like, but to ensure nobody's joining just for the sake of getting laid, there's a relationship ban of three days and a minimum of 500 tweets on both parties. Move-in couples are allowed.
CHARACTER You're allowed to change your face claim's age as long as it's either five years younger or five years older, but please be believable (eg: Im Jaebum can't pass for a fourteen year old.) Their names aren't changeable (unless your character has an English name/the likes), and either are their race. However, you can change their nationality.
CC Both temporary character changes and permanent character changes are allowed and they're unlimited, but don't abuse this privilege. Temporary CCs not allowed. There must be a five-day interval between CCs and temporary CCs. The p4$s w or d is your favourite movie genre.
OTHERS Only one character per person. Subscribing is mandatory, upvote if you enjoy your time in Typo. Closed roleplay, don't interact with those outside Typo. Regularly clean your followings.

01 Ensure your desired face claim is still available. Once you have, comment below including your character's name, your chosen member group, your character's occupation, your character's age, and the password. If you are reserving for a friend, keep in mind that only one friend reservation is allowed, and it must also have the details for your friends' character.
02 After an admin has accepted your reservation, you are then allowed to create your account. The username format is: @typname or @nametyp, no underscores and strictly lowercase.
03 To set up your profile, put up the character development and tracker threads. For an example, just look at the base's followings. Don't forget to make sure that your followings and tweets are clear, if you're using a recycled account.
04 In order to be verified, follow the base and all its followings before mentioning the base for verification. You're permitted to interact with those in the roleplay if an admin hasn't verified you within an hour.

For our first adjustment period, the universe we've chosen this time around (that also marks the beginning of Typo) is an alternate universe that's similar to our current universe. September's setting is South Korea, focusing on its entertainment industry. As it is still AU, you're allowed to choose whether or not you want your face claim to remain as their current occupation or if you want to choose a completely different one. 'O' signifies the occupation ideas, 'MG' is for the member groups, 'M' is this month's mission, and 'E' is September's event. If you've got any questions regarding the missions or anything else, DM the base.

MUSICIAN For simplicity, idols and k-underground artists belong in this category as well. The musicians are the ones who make music; they're the indie artists, the rappers, the idol group members, and everyone in between. As this is an AU, please know that the idol groups that exist in real life don't exist here. You can, however, make your own groups and ask other members to join!
ACTORS These are the people you'd see on both the small screen and the big screen. If you're creating a listography for your actor character, we ask of you to create original projects. However, you're most definitely allowed to draw inspiration from real life projects.

B LISTERS While they're certainly popular, the B-Listers are a few stops short from being considered an A-List celebrity. They're well-known by the public, but they just haven't gotten that extra push to truly become legendary; some examples are Seolhyun, Hani, 'Trend Idols', or actress Kim Jiwon.
C LISTERS These are the people you can't really determine the exact popularity of; while some of the public certainly knows about them, they aren't generally known, and if you ask about them on the streets, chances are you'd get some answers of recognition but more of confusion. Rising rookie groups or only rising actors can be classified in this group.
D LISTERS The nugu of the nugu, the D-Listers are those celebrities you don't really know. While some people know about them, those people are rare and in between; they could be newly debuted idol groups from small companies, struggling actors and musicians, etc.
BEHIND THE SCENE Not everyone involved in the entertainment industry have their faces known clearly by the public. The people in this group are the ones who are responsible for things behind the scenes. These people are your directors, the CEOs, the stylists, and heck, even the music show building's janitor. PHOENIX AWARDS The event of the year, the Phoenix Awards is South Korea's number one award show, ft. awards for both musicians and actors alike. Video bloggers, models, and other celebrities are also constantly invited to join the party as well. It's both the biggest and the grandest award show, sponsored by many media partners and not a little amount of chaebol companies as well. The projects that have been posted or completed within the month will be up for awards — there are many categories such as movie of the year, best actor, etc., so be sure to complete your projects to ensure your character can get the chance to win an award! More details will be posted when the date gets nearer to the ceremony.
