Week 1

(Attempting) To Learn Korean!!

Hello!

So I made a set for the first 20 vocabulary words I'm going to use. Of course, you could also just use memrise, but I have a different approach I want to take so yeah lol.

Anyways, I'll be using all the games and stuff on quizlet that usually help me to memorize words, and I'll also be using memrise a bit.

I also find it extremely important to know greetings and such, since that's how you start conversation in the first place! SO I will also be studying 10 phrases every week. Seems like a little much, but I'll manage hahaha

Of course, you can cut it down to however much is managable for you.

Anyways, here are the words for this week:

가게

a store, a shop

가방

a bag

가위

scissors

가을

fall, autumn

가족

a family

행복하다

to be happy

기쁘다

to be glad, happy

화나다

to be angry

슬프다

to be sad

아프다

to be sick, painful

오다

to come

마시다

to drink

먹다

to eat

주다

to give

가다

to go

그러나

however or but still

~not~ + VERB

More

그리고

And or and then

Good luck in studying Korean! I'm also studying the language but not really excessive. Since I'm busy right now, I only rely to my Korean students. Btw, I teach English to Korean students and I learn Korean from them also. If you feel like reading Korean passages and want to test yourself how far you understand it. I could give you some samples of the passages (Korean and the translation in English). I also have Phonics and Pre-school books. It could teach you a little of grammar. It does not talk about grammar actually but you will notice the patterns of their sentences. It's easy to understand cause the words are very basic and for beginners.
