Emi Haro POV
The next day after the photo-shoot, Soo Hyun and I had schedule an interview. This Ad is really something else; the production team is trying very hard to show our chemistry on set.
I arrived at the set early and changed into the dress I wore for the first photo-shoot. Soo Hyun was wearing the same thing too. We both sat on separate chairs, next to each other. After some minutes the interview started.
“Did you like working together?” The interviewer asked. Soo Hyun and I stared at each other. We smiled.
“It was a great pleasure. I always wanted to meet her and through this J.Estina campaign we were able to create a great chemistry. I’ll cherish every moment spent with CEO Haro.” Soo Hyun replied while looking at me and sometimes looking at the interviewer.
“I’m so amazed by him! He acts so well, no doubt why he’s Korea’s Top Actor.” I thought.
The interviewer looked at me, he was waiting for my answer. I didn’t know what to say, so I just blurted: “Kim Soo Hyunssi helped me to feel at ease during the photo-shoot. I’ve never done something like this before, so I was very nervous. He’s very kind, he’s charming, he always made me feel comfortable. Working with him as my pretend partner was really fun and I don’t think I could’ve done it with any other celebrity.”
“What the heck did I just say? I’m taking this interview too seriously!” I thought again.
The interviewer was pleased with my answer. He asked a lot of questions! About Soo Hyun, about the photo-shoot, and about myself. I was starting to feel uncomfortable, I really hate been on the spotlight.
His next question took me by surprise. “Who’s your ideal type, CEO Haro?” I stared at him dumbfounded.
Soo Hyun rapidly exclaimed: “Please avoid the cliché of naming me as your ideal type.” Everyone laughed, loudly.
“Think Emi, think!” I smiled. “I would say Jung Woo Sungssi. He’s the main reason I fell in love with Korean culture, I used to say I would marry him.” We all laughed again.
As we were answering more questions I looked at everyone inside the studio, they were looking at us like the main couple of a romantic movie. “What is this?” I thought.
Finally, the interview was over. Before leaving the studio we met with the directing team, the campaign would be release in one month. “Well, I have a month before I become Asia’s joke!”
I was about to leave. Soo Hyun reached me before I could exit the studio. He tapped my shoulder. I turned to look at him. He was smiling. “Are you going to CEO Lee Ji Woon’s party?”
“I’m not sure. Why?”
“Is it because you think G will be there?” He whispered.
I punched his arm. “Yah! Don’t say that!”
“I know from a good source that he won’t be in Korea tomorrow. You should go!” He happily said.
I looked at him confused. “Why does he know his schedule?” I thought. “Are you going? If you’re going, I’ll go too.” I smiled.
“Let’s do that.” He replied and winked.
“See you tomorrow then!” I said.
The next day, I was getting ready for the party. One stylist was doing my hair and the other one my makeup.
After they were done, I was choosing which dress to wear for CEO Ji Woon’s party. I was torn between a Valentino red dress and a Chanel white dress.
“Your s look better in the Chanel one!” Gahee exclaimed.
I laughed out loud.
I started loving Chanel after him. It’s my second favorite brand now. I don’t say his name out loud; it’s too painful.
“Will Soo Hyunie pick you up?” Gahee shouted.
“Of course not! Why would he?” I was in my walking closet putting the dress on.
“I wanted to see him!” She whimpered.
I walked towards the room. “So, how do I look?”
I decided to use the Chanel white dress.
Gahee turned to look at me; she was astonished.
“What is it?” I asked, alarmed. I try to cover the dress with my arms.
“Waah! How can you look so perfect? I mean come on; your genes are ridiculous! You looking this good is unreal.” She exclaimed.
I sighed. “Unnie! You enjoy making me blush!” I said, annoyed. She laughed.
My phone started ringing. I answered. “Oppa! Are you heading now to the party?” I asked Soo Hyun.
“Emi? I’m sorry; I won’t make it. I’m still shooting Dramafy’s Ad, there was an issue that delayed the filming.”
“Is this true? I’m gonna kill Hana! I’m really sorry Oppa. You should’ve let me know…” He interrupted me. “Don’t worry, everything is fine. But it’ll take a couple more hours until we’re done.”
“Well, I’m not going anymore…”
“No, of course you should go! Please tell Lee Sajangnim that I’m sorry I couldn’t be there. And don’t worry about the other thing, he’s right now in a flight to Shanghai.”
I sighed. “Oppa…”
Gahee shouted. “Soo Hyunie, you should see how beautiful Emi looks! I sent you a pic right now!”
“Yah!” I exclaimed.
Soo Hyun laughed. “I just received it, let’s see… Wah! If you look this good in the picture, I don’t know how you must look in person.”
I was blushing. “Why do you two unite against me?” I whimpered. They both laughed again.
After I hang up with Soo Hyun, I was really doubting if I should go. When Soo Hyun told me he was going, I felt more comfortable with the idea of attending the party.
“You will go!” Gahee exclaimed.
“I don’t think I should. I won’t know anyone there besides Ji Woonssi.”
“Emi don’t be dumb! You look amazing and remember you have to attend a lot of events this month. This will help you to improve your socializing skills.”
Gahee was right. Hana, my PR Director, has schedule a very social month for me. She says I need to appear more in public now that we’re launching the new campaign for Dramafy. As the CEO I’m suppose to be the main image of our company. I’m so desperate to make Dramafy strong that I’m up to anything.
I hunched. “Araso, unnie. I’ll get going, I think I’m going late already.” I hugged Gahee and left the apartment.
As I walked inside the Ritz-Carlton, I could see everyone staring at me. “I hate this! I shouldn’t have worn this dress!” I thought.
I entered the ballroom. It was full with people. I was trying to find CEO Lee. After some minutes, I was able to see his head. I waved to him and he waved back. I walked towards him. The ballroom was so full that it was quite a journey to get where he was.
“Lee Sajangnim, Happy Birthday! Have you been doing well?” I bowed.
Ji Woon bowed in return. “Thank You CEO Haro. It’s great to have you here!” I smiled.
“Is Soo Hyunie coming?” He whispered.
“He had an issue with a filming. He won’t be able to come, he says he’s deeply sorry.” I whispered back.
“What a shame!”
I felt like someone was staring at me, I turned my head and I saw him. Our eyes locked. I felt like the world started spinning very fast, I was shocked. I stood there without moving, looking at him. My heart was racing so fast that I could feel the adrenaline in all my body. My knees started shaking, I placed my arms on my back because they were also shaking. “Is this real?” I thought. He looks more handsome now. He was wearing a tuxedo. His black hair was perfectly styled in a slick back way. He looks perfect!
“Oh! I don’t think you’ve met before. CEO Haro, this is Ji Yong…”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Ji Yong interrupted him. He didn’t smile. His greeting was more cold than an iceberg. He didn’t even flinch after seeing me, and here I was, almost dying because of him.
I found my words and said: “The pleasure is mine.” I bowed my head. I tried to appear like if seeing him again didn’t affect me, but inside of me, my body was uncontrollably shaken. I was starting to get agitated. I smiled. “Oh! There’s Choi Si Won; I need to say hi. Please, excuse me.” As I moved to the other side of the ballroom, I could feel the tears. “No! Don’t cry! Be strong. This was going to happen sooner or later.” I was so shaken that I was hyperventilating.
I was able to control my breathing and I was able to hold my tears. I greeted Si Won. I was with him and with other people. As they were speaking I was thinking about what just happened. “I have such bad luck! How is it possible that I had to meet him here? Probably his girlfriend is here too. I don’t want to see them together. Maybe I should go before that happens. He really has moved on. He treated me so coldly, that it hurt. Why can’t I move on like he did? Why do I still love him?”
I made the mistake to look at him once more. Our eyes locked again, this time was more painful. I needed to leave before I did something stupid. I bowed to the people near me and walked to the ballroom’s back door. I was shaken again.
I opened the door and started walking through a long hallway with several doors. Some seconds later I heard the same door opening. I didn’t look back.
I was reaching the middle of the hallway when someone held my hand. He pulled me inside a small room. I was dumbfounded. As he closed the door I rapidly saw him and looked down. I was getting agitated. He walked towards me. I don’t know if he was staring at me. We didn’t say anything.
Minutes later as I raised my head to look at him, I could see him doing the same. For the third time in the night our eyes locked. We stay there, looking at each other. We both were breathing loudly. He showed me my weakness, his smile. When I saw it again, I knew I was doomed. The little control I had, vanished. I ran into his arms, he held me and we kissed, he gently pushed me against the wall.
I could feel butterflies in my stomach again. Feeling his hands touching me, his lips on mine, smelling his addictive and unique scent made me forget everything.
As he was kissing my neck, he started fondling my thighs through the front slit of my dress. He pulled down my underwear and he ped his pants.
I’ve missed him desperately; my body needed him. We were doing everything quickly. I don’t know about him, but I just needed to feel him. He lifted my leg and I felt him again. We started quietly. We kissed; we looked at each other. I quickly reached it.
Only now I could realize how much I’ve missed him. I haven’t been with another man, but I’m sure no one will make me feel what he makes me feel.
After we were done, I felt embarrassment, anger, and sadness. “What have I done?”
“Don’t say anything. This obviously was a mistake.” I softly said.
“It wasn’t a mistake. I’ve missed you desperately. I needed to have you.” He whispered.
“You needed to have my body, you got it. Make no mistake, this won’t happen again.” I firmly said.
“Emi, listen to me.” He asked.
Before walking out, I said: “There’s nothing left to say between us. This doesn’t change anything.”
