Miho’s funeral was simple, a few friends, relatives and her parents. Everyone cried and it hurt Miho –at least those are the people who genuinely cared for me.

Miho turned away as she walked away from the sight of her funeral when

“Miho” a voice called as she quickly turned back and saw Minho smiling at her, leaning his back on the tree

“Minho?” she muttered

“It’s been so long since it felt like home” he said as Miho ran to his arms, feeling his embrace after so long.

Yes, we are dead now…we are in another world now. But now I am happy after so long- genuinely happy.

“I’m sorry I took so long” she said with tears b in her eyes

“I missed you too” Minho said lovingly her hair

“Why are you still here?” Miho asked as Minho smiled, his angelic smile

“I was waiting for you” he said as he caressed Miho’s cheek as her lips formed a smile.

Miho’s mother was still in a trauma after seeing her daughter in such a condition late that night. Some friends and relatives had joined the funeral and they were all mourning her death.

“Ajhumma” a little girl of 10 came running to Miho’s mom

“Byul-ah, come here” the little girl’s mother said running after her daughter

“I need to tell you something, ajhumma” the little girl said as Miho’s mom lovingly little Byul’s hair, who reminded her so much of her dead daughter.

“Unnie said that she’s leaving soon” Byul said as Miho mom looked at the girl

“E-eh?” she muttered

“She said she’s sorry that you had to see her in such a state, that she’s safe now and she’ll be gone soon” Byul said

“Byul-ah, don’t talk nonsense now” the little girl’s mom said awkwardly

“Ani, please tell me” Miho’s mom said taking the little girl’s hands in hers

“She is saying that she’s sorry….and not to cry” the girl said
“C-can you s-see my M-Miho?” Miho’s mom cried as Byul nodded

“Where is she? Where is she?” Miho’s mom asked

“She said she’s leaving. She is saying…” Byul said as Miho smiled at the little girl

“Saranghae eomma…geurigo mianhae” Miho said as she grasped Minho’s hand tightly

“Where are they?” Miho’s mom asked as Byul pointed outside at the large banyan tree – the type Miho always liked

“She said she’s leaving for heaven soon…” Byul said as she looked over the garden and smiled one last time to them.

If you ever get the feeling of being watched, turn right, left, back and then up. And if that still doesn’t get rid of that feeling, maybe someone is waiting for you to come back home too.

Because every heaven needs his angel…
