It was 11 p.m when the doors to the Department of Diagnostic Medicine opened and in came a man about 30 year old holding a briefcase.

"Omo? Dr. Kim you're here for the night? I thought you left already?" Asked the head nurse by the reception desk.

The so called Dr. Kim didn't even acknowledged her as he walked by with his forever non-changing emotionless face and headed straight towards the meeting room. Rumours spread that Dr. Kim was born a genius, skipped 4 grades in elementary school, got into Seoul University at the age of 14, obtained his M.D. and PhD degree simultaneously, and became a fully licensed physician before even reaching 20 years old. This man knew he was intelligent, and moreover, he knew he was the best!

A loud bang! slammed the door open and a tall guy with soft blond hair came running in and panting uncontrollably.

"Ya! Kim Dongwan! You better give a good reason for calling me to the hospital at this time of the night!" A deep but sensual voice began. "I was this close to getting that cute guy to come home with me tonight and because of you, everything is ruined."

Dongwan looked up at his colleague/subordinate and chuckled. 

"Shin Hyesung! How could you even call yourself a physician when you go around actively promoting everything that's against safe ?"

Hyesung, or Dr. Shin, wiggled his eyebrows cutely before replying, "Excuse me, I know my basic hygiene and protections thank you very much. Anyways, please tell me what was so important that you had to call me back for the night?"

"Right." Dongwan took out a folder and handed to Hyesung. "Lee Sunho, the patient resting in room 1508. He was administered last week due to appendicitis. The physicians took care of him and post surgery recovery seemed to be well. However, this morning he began feeling lethargic, and 20 minuets ago, he went into a coma."

"Alright, " Hyesung replied while gently touching his chin. "How does his blood result look like?"

"Everything is fine."

"Can it be linked to any post surgery side effect or treatment side effect?" 

Dongwan shook his head and replied, "No. The usual side effects should not be this severe leading to a coma."

"Alright Then. Since he was well last week and began having symptoms yesterday, then the causative agent is something that occurred recently. So, maybe diet? Did he have any different food this week?"

Dongwan flipped through the papers and replied, "It states here he had a high steak meal yesterday for......."

Dongwan didne't even finish his sentence as Hyesung and him both widened their eyes at the same time and looked towards each other and shouted, "Ornithine transcarbamylase!"

​They both chuckled and gave each other a friendly high five. Although Dongwan was generally a cold person at the hospital, Hyesung is his only exception in the fact that they spend so many years working together and they shared a special telepathy.

"I will quickly ran a urine test for ornithine." Hyesung said before exiting the room.
