The first batch of results is declared including both Sehun and Minseok’s.
“I Kim Sung the returning officer for the Bupyeong North seat, hereby give notice that the total number of votes given for each candidate at the election of 19th February 2001 was as follows, Oh Sehun, the Conservatives Party of Korea, 63,453 votes. Son Woon, the Labour Party of Korea, 23,122 votes. Lee Hyuksoo, Liberal Democrats of Korea 15,260 votes. Spoilt votes, 242. The total number of votes cast was 102,077. The turnout rate of 70.1%. Now I hereby declare Oh Sehun of the Conservatives Party of Korea has been duly elected to be the MP for Bupyeong North.”
