Little Me And Big Hollow Skies

Description

Cha Sooyeon marks every day she passed with an 'X'. There are more than one 'D-Day' on her calendar - and new ones keep on popping up every time nightmare finds her. And thus, she has a plan - to escape to the bustling city of Tokyo and spend her days there. Goodbye, Seoul, see you in my next life.

Upon arrival, however, she was met with surprises - and she's always hated surprises. Some boy, perhaps only a year or two older than her stole her luggages (the boy, whose name is Kim Taehyung, begged to differ and claimed he mistakenly recognized them as his luggages), and to top that, the interrogation of the case took them almost seven hours, making the two teenagers miss their train to Tokyo - and somehow forcing them to end up in a hotel room in the historical city of Narita.

Finally moving in her new apartment in Tokyo, with the addition of a hottie who happens to be her neighbour and hairdresser, Sooyeon thought she'd finally found some tranquility and serenity in her life - until she found out who her classmate in her intensive Japanese language course was.

And thus, by fate, everyday an extra lesson of the art of letting go and not giving up became a mandatory one featuring Kim Taehyung as Sooyeon's teacher.

"I'm not giving up on you, Sooyeon," he said as his light brown hair glistens under the sun, "so you shouldn't either," he smiled and looked at me one last time before lying down on the wet green grass, his gaze soft as he faced the small river. I looked up at the gloomy sky, and wiped a tear. Maybe the skies aren't sad, afterall, I thought to myself, maybe they were just happy in their own colour.
