A virtuoso killer has been set loose, and it's up to Detective Byun Baekhyun and his team to find him. Each girl, dressed up beautifully, is found dead with just a stab in the heart by a knife. No matter what, Baekhyun finds himself one step behind the killer, who they've dubbed The Black Annuler. At the Institute, Baekhyun meets Kim Youngwon, a gifted, yet deeply-troubled girl. With her help, he plays a game where there's a thin line between life and death: to kill, or to be killed.
