It was the day of Christmas Eve in the SHINee dorm, as well as lunch time, and everywhere Jonghyun looked, he saw mistletoe or bells or little tiny Santa dolls. Lights were strung up across the walls(Key wouldn't let Jonghyun help set the lights up because he wasn't tall enough. Pffft.) and a large banner hung over the table in the kitchen. What did it say?

"Welcome Santa!"

Jonghyun looked up from his steaming bowl of ramen to see Taemin grinning ear to ear. Everytime he walked past that sign he would read it out loud and it was starting to annoy Jonghyun.

"Taemin, do you have to read it every single time?" Jonghyun asked, setting his chopsticks in his bowl.

Taemin nodded and turned to look at Jonghyun. With a glimmer in his eyes he said," Of course! What better way to remind Santa to come here than by welcoming him?"

Now Jonghyun remembered. Stupid Key has kept Taemin's hopes up all these years by giving him presents from "Santa." Shouldn't Taemin have realized by now that the handwriting on the presents was Onew's and that handwriting from Santa's little note was Minho's? He was much too naive, that boy.

"You're eighteen now, Taemin. Stop having such silly little dreams." Jonghyun said bluntly.

Taemin glared at Jonghyun and took a seat next to him. Placing his chin in his hands, he leaned close to Jonghyun— a little too close for comfort.

"Tell me, hyung," Taemin said, "Do you not believe in Santa Clause?"

Jonghyun snorted. "Why would I belive in him? He isn't real, Taemin!" Jonghyun tapped Taemin's nose lightly.

Taemin slapped Jonghyun's hand away and sighed, "Of course he is, hyung. You just have to believe!"

Another snort left Jonghyun and he had to turn away for a moment to calm himself. When he looked back at Taemin he noticed the sad look on his face.

"One little comment and all your holiday cheer is gone?" Jonghyun chuckled and ran a thumb over Taemin's cheek. "Santa wouldn't like that."

Taemin's face instantly brightend.

"You're right!" Taemin jumped up from his seat and began to pace around the kitchen excitedly. He paused after a minute and looked back at Jonghyun again.

"You just wait hyung, I'll prove to you he's real!"
