An Unethical Way to Save Money

An Unethical Way to Save Money

As a dancer Jimin has always found it important to make time to go to the gym. The hours he spent in the studio dancing with Hoseok sometimes were not enough, especially when they only had practice three days a week. So to make up for lost time and keep in shape, Jimin liked to go to the gym. Also, like any sane person he didn’t like going alone. First it was nice to have someone spot him when he needed it. Second, he felt a little insecure amongst the fit body builders that frequented the gym every day. As a result, Jimin had coaxed his friend Jungkook in joining him.

It was actually rather easy to talk the bunny-smile boy in joining him. Jungkook was an athlete himself, being on the college track team and wrestling team. He was more than willing to join Jimin on his workouts, taking time to improve his own skills.

For a while the two went to a corporate gym which was always filled with people cycling in and out, ready to make an attempt at a healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately their fortune of being able to attend the gym was cut short after membership prices jumped by thirty dollars. Being that they were both already broke college students they couldn’t pay the additional cost and had to discontinue their membership. This unfortunate event is what brought the two to the library scouring the internet and newspapers for a new gym. So far their search was futile, that is until Jimin happened upon a special deal in the local newspaper.

“Kookie, I think I found something!” Jimin yelled excitedly, earning him a few hushes from college students actually trying to get good grades. Quieting his voice a tad he continued, “There’s an ad for a gym named Victory Fitness. The ad has a deal that says ‘register as a couple and get 25% off! It’ll even be about 15 dollars cheaper than before!” The orange haired male smiled, shoving the ad in Jungkook’s face. Jungkook’s dark eyes scanned the page, scrutinizing the deal that was ‘too good to pass-up’.

He brought his eyes to meet Jimin’s before replying, “Uhm, I think it’s for like romantic couples though.” His tone sounded slightly let down and confused. His inner bunny making an adorable appearance.

“But we need a gym and this is the only one we can afford!” the shorter whined slightly, “we can’t just stop working out! Anyway there’s no way they can know for sure! It’s a new age where gay couples are more and more common every day! Anyways, it’s like either of us are in a relationship,” Jimin pointed out. The two had been friends for a longtime, both growing up in Busan together, followed by attending the same college. Surely pretending to be a couple would be no problem and neither were homophobic in anyway. Hell, Jimin was even openly gay so they’d only be lying about Kookie’s uality.

“But what if they do find out? Couldn’t we get arrested for fraud or at least kicked out?” Jungkook voiced, concern drawing his eyebrows up into a pinch. A frown tugged at his lips as he looked his friend down.

“I don’t think we’ll go to jail and as for getting kicked out… well, we’ll just be back here then.” Jimin replied thoughtfully. “I think it’s a risk we should go for, but if you don’t want to I promise I won’t pressure you into it.” As Jimin spoke the last part, he placed a hand on Jungkook’s shoulder to make sure he felt the sincerity behind his words.

A few moments of silence passed as Jungkook worried his lip between his teeth, thinking over his options. Finally, he let out a deep sigh coming to his decision, “Alright. But let’s be the best gay couple this gym has ever seen.” A small smile had found its way on his face, after seeing Jimin’s own infectious smile from his answer.

The orange haired boy let out a slight squeal of joy before he pulled the other into a hug, “Yay! This is going to be so much fun! We’ll be like undercover spies!”

**

That next day the two boys found themselves outside of a square building with a bright blue sign reading ‘Victory Fitness’. “Well, here we go.” Jimin muttered, taking Jungkook’s hand in his own. Holding hands was normal skin ship between the two, but this was under a new set of pretenses and made Jungkook’s heart flutter weirdly—probably just nerves though, right?

his lips he nodded his head, hoping that he looked composed and that this crazy plan would work. Jimin took the lead pulling them both in through the front door. Once inside they were welcomed by a slight chill and a small reception area. Stemming from the reception room was a long hall which had a few doors branching from it and two short halls, one which wafted with the affronting smell of chlorine. “Hello, may I help you?” A handsome brunette with a bright smile asked them upon their arrival.

“Uhm, yes? We saw in the newspaper this gym offers a special membership for couples and we would like to join.” Jimin spoke. For how tight his throat felt the words came out oddly smooth and almost confident. Despite this successful attempt at speaking, the receptionist scrutinized them—one eye brow lifted while his mouth slanted in confusion.

The three shared a perfectly awkward silence before a cough interrupted them. Looking to his left Jimin saw a lanky man had appeared from one of the short halls. He had a slightly choppy haircut with green under bangs. He had beautifully sun kissed skin, and a perfect face to match. He wasn’t dressed like a typical gym patron with in a black, trendy sweater and black jeans. Honestly he didn’t even seem like the kind of guy to workout. “Hello there~” the boy almost singed out in a voice deeper than one would think coming from his body. He smiled at Jimin and Jungkook before turning to face the receptionist. “Jin hyung, is there a problem?” he asked, voice still friendly.

“Oh uhm, I suppose not.” Jin quickly answered, snapping out of his judging gaze. “These boys are just wanting to apply for the couple’s membership. I was just a bit… shocked?” Jin then faced to address them again, “I should inform you that the membership is only for couples in a relationship, typically married. Just to clarify,”

Jungkook nodded, “We know.” He lifted their linked hands, “we are in a relationship and would like to apply for a couple’s membership.” He said in a quiet voice. Maybe this was a bad idea, this gym was coming off a bit homophobic, and he did not want to risk their safety for a few bench presses and squats.

“Oh my gosh, I’m sorry! I just kind of assumed that you guys misinterpreted the ad! We don’t really get that many gay couples in here, to be honest. It’s a lot more common for people to come thinking any couple, such as friendship, qualifies for the membership!” Jin gushed out, a faint pink coloring his face as he spoke. “I’m sorry for the confusion and any rudeness! I’ll get you two started!” he finished, taking to his computer to pull up the right forms.

“Jin wait,” The brunet from earlier spoke, “I don’t mean to be rude and what not, but I just don’t believe you guys are a couple.” He stated blatantly. Jungkook’s eye brows furrowed in confusion, why should it matter if this guy believed them? Shortly after the thought an answer was presented, “My parents have trusted me with this business to keep it running smoothly and I can’t have people taking advantage of the honest deals we offer.”

Oh. He’s the owner. “Well, what makes you think we’re not a couple?” Jimin asked.

A cheeky smile found its way onto the brunette’s faces, “Not to brag, but I’m pretty sure you were checking me out a second ago. Your boyfriend here didn’t seem to care or even notice though. Jin, do you think that’s normal boyfriend behavior?” Jimin’s eyebrows shot up in surprise, he didn’t mean to check him out or to be that obvious about it. He looked over at his friend who looked a little angry at him.

“Uh, not really, but it’s not really my job to point out a dysfunctional relationship Tae.” Jin spoke. A slight smile on his face. “I mean, we’ve let couples who get a divorce four months later into the gym, let’s just let them have a couple’s membership till they break-up.”

After that comment two voices spoke. First it was Jimin, “Uhm, excuse me, but who are you to assume we’re going to break-up?” The receptionist only replied with a quirk brow.

The next voice to speak was the owner, “I want you to prove it.”

The room went dead silent real quick. Varying levels of shock on three of the four faces in the room. Eventually Jungkook broke the silence, “You want us to prove that were dating?” the words were drawn out slow, almost questioning if he should have to be saying this at all. The burnet standing next to the hall nodded his head while taking a few steps closer.

“Of course! I need proof!”

Suddenly the receptionist was pushed into motion. “Taehyung!” he chastised, “we can’t just force them to prove their relationship to us. Especially if there are no tracking legal documents! They’re not married so unless you guys live together?”

“Uhm, we’re both in college and they expect freshman to live on campus in the dorms. We plan to find an apartment after Kookie’s freshman year.” Jimin replied tentatively after his shock calmed. It was also easy to say this, being that it was the truth. It was always a shared dream to be flat mates at some point.

Taehyung suddenly became adamant again. “See hyung! College students! They just want the good deal!” Taehyung said accusingly, handing whipping out to point at them. Something about the act seemed oddly childish, especially with the boss calling his worker hyung. Meanwhile, Jimin couldn’t help but to mumble rude under his breathe. It was true they were broke college students just looking for a good deal, but to just assume the stereotype was still a bit offensive. “I need proof!” Taehyung reiterated.

“Oh my gosh! Tae, what do you want from them? Do they need to make-out in front of you?” Jin joked, exasperation lacing his words. As soon as the words were out of his mouth the atmosphere became real awkward real fast. There was so many things wrong with what Jin had just suggested. First it was unprofessional. Taehyung was still a business man and wanted to keep a good practice in function. Also he would have seemed really y if he said yes. Like, only older men in os made people make-out for such arbitrary reasons, although he would have to admit it would probably be hot.

On the other side of the awkward silence was silent panicking from Jungkook and Jimin. Making-out wasn’t something they did as friends, to do that would be crossing some line. A line neither was ready to even acknowledge yet.

“No, Jin hyung. That’s ridiculous! Why do you have to make everything so awkward?” Taehyung finally announced after much too long. “Just sign them up, but just know that I have my eyes on you two.” Before making his way back down the hall Taehyung did that stupid thing where he point at his own eyes and then pointed at the two of them. This boy was too much.

**

Jimin and Jungkook quickly realized that Taehyung was a man of his word. After being signed-up the two went about the gym and quickly got into their old routine. This uninterrupted exercise was continued for two more days until Jimin first spotted him.

Jungkook had just left to the bathroom, leaving Jimin alone on the treadmill with three other people in the room. One was a dark haired girl, about 5 foot 4 making the elliptical her . Another was a fit looking guy with toned arms and legs. Both of which were lost in their own headphones and workout, leaving Jimin to jog alone in relative silence. The gym was still fairly new to him so he decided that having a glance around the open floor plan of the cardio room wouldn’t hurt.

It was during his gazing that Jimin noticed Taehyung in the corner. He was squatting behind some bike machine, wearing all black. If he didn’t know that the other was the owner he would it assume it was some parent’s kid playing ninja.

Upon being spotted Taehyung darted further behind the equipment that he was previously peeking around. It was in this moment when Jimin realized that if he wanted a normal workout he would have to ignore the other. So with ease he turned to look out the window his treadmill was faced toward. He kept his jog steady, using the time to warmup his muscle for the workout that was to follow.

While working out should have been a safe bet, Jimin didn’t account for Jungkook. Now in most situations it would be normal to just show-up and get started on warming up, and Jungkook did indeed do this; however, he also decided it would be a great time to start talking about his writing class, and if Jimin knew anything about Jungkook’s writing class he knew the other was bound to bring up his totally hot female professor. Which, once again, would be fine, but if Taehyung heard their cover would be blown. Jimin wasn’t ready to be back in the library searching for a new affordable gym.

Jungkook was already through the beginning of his story, entering into the more ‘exciting’ bit, “So we all thought she was going to be late to class when suddenly she walks in. I’m mean I’m not the first to objectify someone, but--” Jungkook was rambling on, when he was suddenly cut off by Jimin.

“Uh, Kookie! I have a question about our workout today!” Jimin yelled, slightly panicked. The younger faced him, eyebrows furrowed and mouth slightly agape.

“Uhm, yeah?” Despite the fact that Jimin had just very rudely and uncharacteristically interrupted him, Jungkook had just questioningly replied. Surely if Jimin was in such a worry to ask a question it must have been important. Jungkook waited for him to continue; however, despite saying he had a question Jimin didn’t actually have anything to ask.

“Uhm, never mind. It slipped my mind,” he lied. Jungkook’s face quickly flashed with mild annoyance.

“Man, are you serious? You just interrupted my story,” he whined half-heartedly.

“Okay we both know where that story was going. And Kookie keep in mind I am your hyung, can you at least pretend to give me some respect?” Jimin shot back, stopping his treadmill. He quickly hopped off to walk to the front of Jungkook’s machine, the other holding his steady pace “plus we don’t need Taehyung hearing you talk about your hot writing teacher. It might come off a little suspicious.”

The confusion that feel across Jungkook’s face was amusing, “Taehyung? The owner? How would he hear, it not like he’s… oh.” Just as Jungkook came to the end of his sentence as he noticed the poorly concealed boy in the corner watching them with way too much focus. “Okay, uhm… sorry babe?” he finished, projecting his voice just the tiniest bit.

“It cool,” Jimin smiled, eyes squinting a bit at the corners. It was a genuine smile which meant that he alone was lighting up the room. If asked, Jungkook would easily be able to answer that Jimin’s secret power was his smile. It held the power to literally lighten rooms while also being infectious for those who saw it. What made his smiles even more magical was how they always were sincere. Jimin rarely put on a fake smile for appearance, if anything he put on a fake smile to make it a real smile. Also, if Jungkook realized that Jimin had a special smile just for him, and that was another thing he loved about Jimin’s smiles then he would never confess. In this situation, Jimin was also conveying that there was no hard feelings for the small spat between the two. “I think I’m going to move into the weight room and start on a few squats, see you there soon?”

“Uh, yeah.” Jungkook waved the other bye, having maybe the faintest of blushes coloring his cheeks. It was probably due to the exercise, yeah?

**

From that incident on the two always kept an eye out for Taehyung. They censored their conversations, held hands more often, threw in a few pet names, and initiated a few forced sweaty hugs. Hugging normally wouldn’t be unwelcomed but after doing a bunch of sets on arm and core day it was a bit nasty. Simply put, it is way too much sweat to be between two people who were not ing. To be safe they went ahead and made some guidelines for their relationship. They had agreed on no kisses and no touching of the no-no area. Smacks on the were acceptable, almost welcomed depending on who you were asking—undoubtedly, Jimin has a great and anyone who would pass up the chance to touch it was crazy.

So, other than a few extra moments of being coupley, things went pretty normal. They kept to their workout schedule, but made a point to always stay by the other’s side. The only time this was a slight problem was when Jimin had a contest or performance coming up and wanted to practice in the empty yoga room. In the end, he skipped out just in case Taehyung wanted to accuse them of not being in a relationship because they weren’t glued to the other’s side.

Now they were embarking on their fourth month, and at this point both Jungkook and Jimin thought Taehyung would have given up, but he was a resilient little er. In fact, he was getting more and more noticeable and closer to the two. One day in particular arose when Jimin and Jungkook were in the weight room doing some pushups when Taehyung had arrived. Upon entering the room he walked right up to the duo and sat next to them on the mat. He didn’t even fool with pretending to be doing anything other than watching them workout. No one said a word and the atmosphere was tense. If someone had even dropped a feather it could have sounded like a wrecking ball.  Jungkook felt like every one of his muscles was being scrutinized under the man’s watch.

The silence was eventually broken by the man who had created it, “Damn, you guys are fit. I haven’t been counting but I could never do that many pushups.” The amazement in his voice was honest and more than apparent.  “Also Jimin, not to make anything weird, but you’ve got a great .”

Jimin couldn’t help but to let out a giggle at that, but Jungkook on the other hand found his face furrowing in anger. He quickly moved into a sitting position to look Taehyung in the face, “What? Have you just been staring at us to check out Jimin’s ‘form’? What happened to your honest business practice?” Jungkook shot at the other. It wasn’t often that Jungkook became angry but every now and again his teenage angst got the best of him; plus he couldn’t pretend that the comment did not make him a little jealous. He felt the need to protect Jimin from the man’s invasive comments.

Taehyung was clearly caught by surprise, “Uh sorry, didn’t mean it like that? I was just kidding around… uh, I’ll just leave you guys to your workout then,” he scrambled to his feet, seeming almost in a hurry to retreat from the confrontation. However, just as his body was about edge round the corner the tall boy stopped, making a dramatic turn. He struck a finger out, wagging it in warning, “but don’t you think you’ve got me fooled for one moment.” And then he was gone.

Jungkook shook his head, letting out a weighted sigh, before he got back into form to do his pushups. A few seconds passed, the two just counting their push-ups in the relative silence, before it was broken. “Good jealous boyfriend act Kookie,” Jimin mumbled out between heavy breaths. There was something odd in his voice, but Jungkook quickly passed it off as being due to his workout; however, if he had taken a second to look at the other, Jungkook would have seen the light blush coloring Jimin’s cheeks.

**

The next close call at the gym came a month and a half later. Jungkook was sick so Jimin decided to go alone that day and was going to just practice his dancing. Upon arrival to the now familiar gym, Jimin was greeted by Jin, “Hello Jimin; No Kookie today?” he asked slight concern in his voice.

“Ah no, he’s sick. He’s been stressing himself out over this project in one of his classes and I think it made him vulnerable to the cold going around campus. He doesn’t get sick often so I’m worried about him,” Jimin explained, voice quiet and eyes distant. Jin saw as a weight seemed to be weighing down the other’s entire body, it was almost weird seeing the usual sunshine so upset. It was even weirder to seem him without a taller, black haired, bunny counterpart.

“If you were really worried about him, and were really his boyfriend you would be in his dorm nursing him back to health.” A voice chided out. Now typically Jimin had a high tolerance to annoying, but no one should dare to question his loyalty to his friends. The orange haired boy swung around quickly to face Taehyung who had emerged from his office the moment he saw Jimin approaching.

“How dare you! You don’t know anything about Jungkook and me! If you did you would know Jungkook hates me worrying about him. You would also know that I’ve already stopped by his room twice, to make sure he was doing okay and to feed him. Did I care that I was late to class? No! Know if you’ll excuse me I’d like to use the empty yoga room to practice,” Jimin’s anger was a rare but it was effective. It was like the one Pokémon move that a trainer could always rely on to be super effective. Jimin turned toward Jin, hoping the receptionist could help him with him angrily delivered request.

“Oh, of course! Let me go with you to make sure it’s unlocked. Also sorry about his behavior. He maybe my boss, but he’s still a kid.” Jin quickly apologized. He grabbed a set of keys from a drawer in his desk area before ushering a still fuming Jimin out of the room. As they walked down the hall Taehyung heard Jin ask what it was the other was practicing exactly, and the excited explanation that Jimin was a dancer.

Ah so that explains why he has such a great . Taehyung thought, glad that Jin was able to fix the mess he had made. Maybe it would be best to lay-off just for a little while, just in case the incident came up again.

**

For Taehyung, a little while seemed to be three weeks. Jungkook had been informed about the incident and was just as pissed about it as Jimin had been when he told him the following day. The two were getting more and more annoyed with the gym owner as the incidents piled up. While they worked against their mutual enemy the two hardly noticed themselves slipping into the couple act way more naturally.

Jungkook was hugging Jimin from behind as they waited for the rotary calf machine to be free when a familiar burnet strolled into the room. “Ah hello you two,” he greeted. “I just wanted to apologize for my behavior some weeks ago. That wasn’t cool,” while Taehyung greeted them happily he quickly deflated into a kicked dog persona during his apology, which was unfair. Who could be mad at any kind of puppy persona? Definitely not Jungkook or Jimin.

“Er, it’s not okay but I forgive you,” Jimin was the first to speak. “How about to prove your sorry you layoff the whole big brother act?” It seemed like a fair trade. Taehyung had done something jerk-like and in return he could do something that would be not jerk-like.

“While I would love to do that I can’t stop until I have proof. However!” He stopped excitedly, “I can give you guys these coupons to an ice cream shop I own!” He hand the two coupons that promised free one scoop, any flavor ice cream with any purchase. “If you guys are really a couple this could help out with some dates. Trust me, I’ve used them myself.” He grinned.

Jimin grabbed the coupons, while Jungkook gave the other a questioning look. “You’ve used the coupons on a date? But didn’t you just say it was your business?”

“Yeah, but when I date someone I don’t just tell them how wealthy I am. I’m not looking for gold-diggers. Plus it seems more like a treat if it’s not super accessible. I like to make my relationships special,”

“It seems like your lying to them,” spoke Jimin who was still in Jungkook’s embrace. Honestly the two really did look like a couple, an adorable one at that, but Taehyung couldn’t drop the few times he’s heard them talking about other cute people or their initial introduction.

“I tell eventually, and if they care that I hid that I have money from them then I don’t think they’re the one for me. I need someone who loves me, not my finances.” Taehyung replied. “Anyway your thing seems open now.” Taehyung pointed at the rotary calf machine, probably not knowing its proper name, before continuing. “If you need me I’ll be in that corner watching you guys.” He put on an adorable boxy smile before heading to sit in his corner. Jimin watched as he sat and pulled out his phone, probably playing some app game that would be old news in a month. Despite seeming distracted Taehyung made sure to keep his eyes and ears on the couple as they worked out.

Was anyone really expecting anything different?

(Let it be known that they did go on a ‘friendship’ date to use the coupons and the ice cream was a pretty damn good)

**

It was at the end of their seventh month at the gym when things suddenly took a turn. It was the first day since they’ve been at the gym that they decided to risk doing separate agendas. Jungkook was going work purely on cardio, needing to speed up for his next track meet and Jimin had a big competition coming up. There was one move in the routine that Jimin was struggling with and if he failed it could throw off the rest of the choreography.

Things were going well for the most part. Taehyung had no idea which one to watch since they were separated. He eventually just decided to sit in the lobby area with Jin, waiting until the two would meet up. Jungkook in the meantime was working on both increasing his speed and endurance while Jimin was repetitively working on one section of his routine. It was agreed that they would meet up at the end with twenty minutes left on their session to do a few arm workouts.

Like clockwork Taehyung perked up when he heard the door to the empty yoga studio open. This was shortly followed by the orange haired male entering the weight room. A few seconds late Jungkook was following behind. In his mind Taehyung decided this would be the perfect time to bother them. As he got up to leave he was stopped by his hyung.

Hand placed on the younger’s arm he spoke, “Tae, how about you let them be today?” It was a completely valid question but Taehyung wasn’t having it.

He shook his head, “No, I think today is the day.”

“You literally say that every Friday.” Jin deadpanned back. He looked completely unimpressed with the other.

“What can I say, Fridays make me hopeful.” The tanner one smiled back before rushing off into the weight room where two boys thought they were finally going to elude the overbearing business owner.

Jimin had just settled down to begin lifting, Jungkook spotting when Taehyung bounded over toward them.

“Oh come on!” Jimin suddenly yelled in exasperation. “Couldn’t you have let us go this one day?”

“Of course not! Especially when you guys have been so uncoupley today. I know I would never leave my significant other to be in a room alone with attractive runners,” Taehyung baited. Jungkook’s eyes narrowed by just the tiniest bit while Jimin rolled his.

“I’m on a dance team and I really need to practice the choreo. Plus I trust Jungkook,”

“You trust him not to blow your cover!” Taehyung accused, slight smirk on his face. Over the months bothering them had become more of a fun, annoying little sibling way to pass the time. Taehyung would actually kind of hate to find out if they were lying at this point. He enjoyed their company too much. Also after nearly eight months of watching them he felt like he almost knew the duo as a friend.

“Tae, what do we need to do to finally get you off our backs?” Jimin asked, sounding slightly defeated. “Especially right now when you’re cutting into our workout time. We’ve allotted a very specific amount of time for the rest of workout before we need to get back to campus.”

“Jiminie hyung! You used my nickname!” Taehyung quickly gushed while simultaneously giving the other a nickname.

“Who gave you permission to call him hyung?” Jungkook cut in, not even trying to hide his jealousy. Not waiting for a reply the youngest spoke again, “just leave us alone,”

“I can’t do that. What if I leave and you guys start talking about people you have crushes on. Then I’d miss both a great conversation and you admitting you lied to get a discounted membership, which by the way is one of two ways to get me to leave.” Taehyung explained enthusiastically.

“And the other way,” Jimin questioned.

“While it was weird Jin did have a point on that first day. You guys have been hear almost long enough to give birth and I haven’t seen you kiss once. Even if you guys aren’t about that PDA life, which I would totally respect, it’s still a great symbol of love.”

“So you’re saying we have to either tell you were lying, which were not! Or kiss for you?” Jimin asked. Really this kid was too much. Jimin was ready to ignore him, to get back into position for lifting when Jungkook took him by surprise.

“Fine,” before anyone could comprehend what was happening Jungkook was grabbing Jimin’s chin to direct his mouth to connect with Jungkook’s own. The younger had crawled onto Jimin’s lap to make up for the height difference, but that was all Jimin noticed past his whirling thoughts of Oh my god, is Jungkook kissing me? Should I kiss back? Yeah, I should totally kiss back. It wasn’t anything special, just soft lips moving against each other. It vaguely reminded Jimin of the times he’s seen well-done duo dances. Both dancers pulling, taking, and moving in sync with one another. Always compensating and matching in greatness. Eventually they had to pull back because kisses could only last so long without proper breathing.

When they did part, the two just stared into each other’s eyes. The rest of the world seemed to content with letting them feel like they were the only ones in the room for at least a few minutes.

“Huh, that was a pretty passionate kiss. Like, ew, PDA. But I guess you guys are the real deal, sorry.” Taehyung was the first to speak after the mind blowing kiss that just occurred. He went from slight dumbfounded awe to child-like disgust and ended with nonchalance in his apology.

Jimin quickly jumps in, “Wait, he’s right. That was pretty real. Jungkook, are you gay?” A blush burned onto the other’s cheeks, and it’s almost too cute to resist; however, Jimin does and he definitely deserves a pat on the back for that.

“Uhm, I guess? It’s just after all this time of pretending to be gay with you I guess I realized my own feelings? I couldn’t hold myself back just now,” he spoke with slight uncertainty fading to a mumble. The kid had just exposed himself to his best friend, still not knowing if he felt the same way. “Sorry, I know we agreed on no kissing.” He tacked on quietly.

“Ah, it happens to work in your favor because I’ve liked you for a while now. I mean what is there not to like? You’re handsome, smart, funny, and energetic, must I go on? The whole ‘no kissing’ thing was made for your comfort!” Jimin laughed. Truthfully, weird scenarios like this were usually left for cheesy stories written online.

For a moment the two just smiled at each other, ready to lean in for another kiss when the clearing of someone’s throat so rudely interrupted them. “So, you’ve been faking it for eight months now, but now it seems like you guys are actually a couple.” Taehyung said, hands on hips and a small smirk playing on his lips. “I’m just not sure what I’m going to do with the two of you. Should I make you pay the difference for those eight months or just let you go? I mean a literal love story has just transgressed in my gym! My gym of all places! Maybe I should start a coffee shop next?” The burnet quickly deflated from intimidating to a rambling mess. Neither Jungkook nor Jimin were sure what to do about him, so they let him talk. They nearly finished their workout before he decided that “Since were friends and all, and I totally just helped you guys get together, I’ll let you off the hook. Just don’t try tricking me again and don’t encourage others.” He proceeded to invite the on a double date with him and his someone special for next Saturday, saying he would cover the bill. Being college students they agreed, no college student alive could resist free food.
