"I'm so bored hyung" Minhwan complained in Hongki's ear as he sat slumped over his shoulder on the sofa, interrupting the older man's peace and quiet as he tried to read a book.

Hongki clicked his tongue on the roof of his mouth and glanced sideways towards the hyper drummer.

"And what exactly do you want me to do about it?" he questioned, grimace set upon his pretty mouth.

Minhwan bounced up and down, imitating an annoying toddler extremely well from Hongki's point of view.

"Entertain me" the cute little ball of energy smiled down at the mildly irritated lead singer.

"And how do you propose i do that, huh?" Hongki lowered his eyes back to the pages of his book as he asked, completely ignoring Minhwan.

"Hmmm, i don't know" he could hear a smile on Minhwan's voice

"You could me"

"WHAT?!?"

The book Hongki was holding just moments before was sent crashing to the laminated floor, loud thud resounding around the living room as Hongki practically broke his own neck throwing himself off the sofa and onto his feet.

Minhwan threw his head back and laughed long and loud, hands clasping his stomach to try to ease the ache his sudden fit of giggles had caused

Hongki stared down at his dongsaeng, eyes narrowed now from their split second ago bugged out look due to his immense shock

"That got your attention" Minhwan quipped in between gasps for air

"Not funny Minhwan" Hongki almost yelled

"Oh come on, it so was, your face was priceless"

Hongki felt his face turn a rather dark shade of red as he bent down to retrieve his book and sit back down beside his outrageous dongsaeng

"Shut up" he murmured and felt pathetic for it, it was such a kindergarden reply

Not that Minhwan noticed, he was nursing his sore tummy as he leaned his head on his hyungs shoulder. Hongki leaned his own head against the drummers.

"Where is everyone anyway?"

"Jonghun is in bed....."

"Without you?" Minhwan smirked, proud of his own quirkiness

"He's not feeling great" Hongki wouldn't rise to the bait, he had had enough ual talk from the maknae to last him a lifetime

He felt Minhwan nod against his shoulder

"Um, Jaejin and Seunghyun went drinking together to a karaoke bar or something, i don't know, i think thats what they said before they......."

Before he even had a chance to continue his sentence, Minhwan had sprung forward from his seat and turned to face Hongki looking directly in his eyes. Hongki panicked for a second, he thought the boy had had a bad twinge or something odd like that.

"Together?" Minhwan's face was filled with confusion

As was his hyungs as he replied "Yes, why, whats up, are you ok?"

Minhwan's eyes wandered to the wall behind Hongki's head, concern drawing his eyebrows together, plump bottom lip pulled up between his teeth as he worried the skin there.

"Minhwan?" Hongki leaned up

"Why did they go together, why didn't they invite you or me?"

"They did but you were napping and i stayed home to look after Jonghun" Hongki replied, his own expression mimicking Minhwan's.

Minhwan made an O shape with his mouth before he sat back, leaning into the sofa's fabric again with his back. Hongki followed him with his eyes before mimicking his position and turning his head towards the younger boy.

Minhwan turned to look at his hyung, plastering a fake fleeting smile on his lips then a blink and you will miss it sad expression before the less than genuine smile returned.

"Whats wrong Minhwan?"

The maknae just shrugged his shoulders and shook his head as a form of reply

"You can't be that jealous that they went somewhere without us" Hongki laughed

"I'm not, its just, like............nevermind" his eyes lowered to his lap, fingers toying over his khaki cargo pants

Hongki turned his body fully towards the young man and drew his legs up onto the sofa

"No, tell me" tone soft as he reached his hands over to still his dongsaengs fidgeting digits, taking the hands into his own, interlacing their fingers as he did so.

Minhwan smiled at the gesture, looking directly into the beautiful singers eyes "It's nothing for you to worry about hyung, honest" he tried his best to look convincing, failing miserably

"You can tell me anything, you know that" Hongki tried to coax the secrets from his lips

His thumbs began to rub gentle circles on the back of his hyungs hands as his mind tried desperately to come up with an excuse for his weirdness earlier anything but the truth would do.

A faint curve turned Hongki's lips upwards as he released one of his hands from the other boys grasp to raise it towards Minhwan's chin, raising his face slighlty and forcing their eyes to meet.

He knew what the maknae was doing, he knew he was playing for time to come up with some random, non-sensical answer, anything just to get Hongki off his back but he wasn't going to back down, no way. The way Minhwan had reacted earlier to the news of their absent bandmates whereabouts had sparked interest in Hongki, this was the first time he had ever seen Minhwan look so surprised at the news of their band mates going out drinking without him.

"Minnie, tell me babe, whats up?"

The blush that crossed Minhwan's cheeks did not go unnoticed by his hyung

"Its noth...."

Before he could continue, Hongki raised his free hand to the drummer boys lips, pressing his index finger there to silence anymore lies from escaping them

Minhwan's eyes widened, eyebrows raising high, his own free hand coming up to cover Hongki's

"Please Minhwan, we have known each other too long to lie and not be found out" he paused to smile and lower his hand, Minhwan's following suit

"Besides, you can trust me, with anything"

Minhwan nodded "Sorry" coming out a distant whisper as he lowered his eyes for the second time that night

"It's ok" Hongki pulled him close into a small, quick hug before pulling back again and taking both his dongsaengs hands into his own

Minhwan's eyes met with his hyungs as he nodded. He cleared his throat

"I just don't get why they have to spend so much time together"

Hongki had to strain to hear the admission, that no doubt made their maknae feel ashamed

Before Hongki had the chance to ask Minhwan to elaborate, the drummer continued

"Its just that Jaejin is vunerable right now, what with all that has happened recently with Wonbinnie hyung and all and he shouldn't be getting drunk with Seunghyun right now, i mean, what if something happened between them, it would be bad, i mean, like......."

Hongki raised his hands to Minhwan's face, clasping his jaw gently inbetween them, smile on his lips

"Babe, Seunghyun isn't going to take advantage of Jinnie and..."

Minhwan tried but failed to interrupt as Hongki continued on

"even if they did get it on, Jaejin is man enough to know what he's doing, drunk or sober....."

"No, hyung....."

"and Wonbin was a while ago now, its about time Jaejin moved on anyway, besides, Seunghyun is a good person, he wouldn't just........"

"HYUNG" Minhwan's raised voice finally stopped Hongki in his tracks

Minhwan gave an apologetic look before he went on

"I'm not worried about Jaejin"

Confusion clouded Hongki's features before his brain engaged his mouth

"What do you mean?" he asked

A smile toyed over Minhwan's lips at his hyungs confusion

"I mean, Jaejin can do whatever he wants, with whoever he wants"

Hongki's face unscrunched itself as realization dawned on him

"Oh, you mean, you like......"

"Yes" the maknae nodded

"How long?" The shock on Hongki's face evident and quite hilarious to the younger boy

"Since i first saw him"

"So do you just like him or is it more than that?" Hongki felt slightly bad about being so probing but only slightly, right now he was information hungry

"I don't know, at first it was just a crush but the more i have gotten to know him, the stronger i feel, i don't know if it's love, yet"

"Can't be love"

Minhwan looked questioningly at his hyung

"I mean, if it was, you would just know, trust me"

"Ah" Minhwan nodded "but how do you know?"

Hongki leaned his back against the arm rest, taking his hands back and folding them across his chest, lips curled upwards in a thoughtful smile

"Its hard to explain"

"Try" Minhwan urged as he leaned closer to Hongki, as if doing so would ensure he heard and saved to memory every single word his hyung said as if words gifted directly from god himself

"Ok" Hongki thought for a second

"Its like every single thing you do and wherever you go, its empty, meaningless, without that person beside you. Like, you have been only half a person all your life until you meet and become one, become whole."

"Wow" was all the young man could muster up as he sat back and drank in the short but powerful statement he had just bore witness to.

It was a simple statement to Hongki but it held alot of weight to his innocent-ish dongsaeng

"Is that how you feel about Jonghun hyung?"

"Of course, i always have felt that way about him"

"But you have said before that you thought that other people were attractive" Minhwan had the expression of a cute puppy

"Babe, you are allowed to find other people attractive, it's just a physical thing, it will never go any further"

"Ok, so, does Jonghun know that you have liked other people whilst you were with him?"

Hongki couldn't help the small laugh that escaped his throat

"Of course, we tell each other who we find attractive"

"You do?"

"Yep"

"Cool" Minhwan smiled

Just then, the living room door opened, causing both boys to turn their attention in it's direction. Seunghyun stumbled through the threshold clinging tightly onto a very unstable Jaejin, goofy grin spread across his face, both of them drunk as a pair of Celtic partygoers.

"Here we go" Hongki sighed out loud as he stood from his seat, offering his hand to his dongsaeng as he did to pull him to his feet also

"You deal with Seunghyun, i'll take Jaejin to bed" he glanced over at Minhwan "Ok?"

Gulping down all his nervousness, the younger boy nodded as he stood and watched the lead singer take hold of Jaejin and lead him out of the room and down the hall towards his bedroom.

"Minhwannie poo" Seunghyun singsonged from the doorway, swaying back and forth a little, his balance off by about 85%.

'Ok, here goes nothing' he thought to himself as he headed over to his alcohol filled hyung, heart racing like it was doing a lap at the grand prix.

He hated that he was so nervous in front of his band mate, it pissed him off no end. He shouldn't feel this way, shouldn't have these stupid sweaty palms by just being in close proximity of him, it .

"Oh " Seunghyun gasped out as he tumbled forward, feet tripping over themselves as he tried make his way over to Minhwan.

Minhwan gasped out loud, opening his arms as he did so in an attempt to catch the dizzy guitarist who right at this moment was falling straight for him.
