Chapter 3

The Reporter

After the last script reading, Mina, again, was the first to leave. This time she made sure she left the building before anybody could talk to her. Once she got home, she texted Hana, an editor of AllKpop.

"Eonni, want to hang out tomorrow? I have a few days off before filming."

"Eoh! Let's go shopping!"

"Geurae! By the way...who posted that article...?"

"Oh that..it was Jimin eonni."

"Jimin eonni?! I knew she had it in for me"

"Ye. Well she's been fired now. Anyway, see you tomorrow?"

"Mm, bye!"

After Mina hung up, she went to see if she had food...Nothing.

"Ugh good job I'm going out tomorrow. Looks like I'll be going to the grocers as well," she sighed.

Just then, a notification went off from her phone.

Want to get fried chicken and beer takeaway?

"Aigo. Can he leave me alone?"

Aniya, gwaenchanhayo - Mina

Too late I'm already at your door - PHS

"Is he a stalker?" she said, while walking over to the door.

When she opened it, Hyungsik was leaning against the door.

"Sup," he said, walking past her and into the apartment, "wah you're apartment is nice."

He put the bag on the table and sat. He stared at Mina for a while.

"Aren't you sitting down?"

"Huh? Oh yeah.."

Mina quickly grabbed plates from a cupboard and sat across from Hyungsik. Hyungsik took the plates and places 3 chicken wings on each. Mina sat down, giving Hyungsik a pair of chopsticks. Using her own, she picked up a chicken and took a bite. The crunch was so satisfying to her ears, the spiciness tickled her tongue and she made a satisfied moan, her eyes closed. Hyungsik made a stifled giggle.

"Mwo?" she asked, opening her eyes.

"Nothing, you're just really cute."

"O-o-oh.." Mina stuttered, covering her cheek.

Hyungsik took a bite, "mmmm it's so tasty!"

"I know right!"

Hyungsik brought out a pack of 4 beers. Mina looked at them, uneasy.

"Umm..." she started.

Hyungsik looked at her.

"I'd rather not. I'm not very good with alcohol."

"Oh right. That's understandable. But we need something fizzy. Got coke, peps?"

"Ah ye!"

She ran over to the fridge and grabbed two cans of pepsi.

"Awesome," said Hyungsik, pleased.

They silently ate their chicken, often giving awkward glances to each other. When Hyungsik had cleared his plate, he stood.

"Well this was fun," he said, and walked towards the door.

"Wait," Mina got up to follow him, "that's it?"

"What? I wanted to eat chicken with you, and now I have. So goodbye," he did up his shoelaces and opened the door.

"But, we didn't talk or..."

Hyungsik smirked, "we'll have plenty of time to talk during the shoot."
